We had a good experience
We had a good experience. We got the car quickly; it was a recent, clean car. At the check-in desk, we were offered extra insurance, but there was no pressure to take it. Upon return, they discovered a small scratch on one of the wheels, and we were charged for it (€200). Fair enough, I suppose. All in all, we remain satisfied with the service.

- Pick up was reasonably fast
- The car was brand new and clean
What could be better :
- They push REALLY hard for options and assurances. Like 10 minutes of saying NO to additional costs. Don't let them fool you with the road assistance
- The return to the parking lot, what a nightmare. Don't expect road signs. Indicate Hertz in the GPS, and locauto is next to it...

Overall everything worked out ok
Overall everything worked out ok. But I did have 3 reoccurring problems with the car (oil change light was one, cabin air filter light was on and the tire pressure monitoring system was failing and sending me tire pressure warning lights.) When I emailed Locauto lookimg for help it took 6 days for you to respond. So having better/faster customer communication would have been an improvement. But the car did work fine. Just had to put up with all the warning lights which was a bit disconcerting.

The car was ready at the time, clean and very new. The person on the counter was very kind and explained everything about the car and the contract. The all process of getting the car and getting the car back was fast. I really recommending that company it was great, thank you 🙏

All was good, but some things can be improved
All was good, but 1. the car pickup process should be automated so as not to stay in the queue for an hour and wait while people complete forms manually. 2. Each car should have a map showing where to return the car. The entry to the parking of Locauto is different from all other car rentals, so I spent 30 min driving at the airport between parkings to find the correct one.

In the meantime, we invite you to try our Smart Check-In service on our website (www.locautorent.it) for a faster experience.
Regarding maps, as an environmentally conscious company, we have intentionally made the choice not to provide printed copies. We are also well aware that ongoing construction at Catania Airport is making it difficult to locate our parking area. Please be assured that we are in daily contact with the airport administration to find temporary alternative routes and resolve this issue. Thank you for your feedback!
