Rude

I brought my dog into this clinic for the second time, for shots and for his first nail trim. My dog is still a puppy so he still has high energy and is a PitBull, which most know they naturally have high energy. I was rudely told by one of the vets that if I can't control my dog during the nail trim they couldn't trim them there. This was based off his excitement when he saw other dogs and in the exam room he was perfectly calm. Knowing that they handle many different breeds with many different temperaments, I was very offended. I have taken him to a couple other clinics prior and never received this treatment. I was also told that I should be getting him another parvo shot, when he didn't need one, and I had told them that he has also been exposed to another dog that had parvo so I know he wont need it. The same vet that was rude before rolled her eyes at me. I am a young adult and I really don't appreciate the treatment I received from the staff. I am a paying customer, no matter the age, and no customer should be treated with such disrespect. I won't be continuing business with them.

Head dr missing the point

Brought my dog in after 3 people recommended them, great dr great staff they should all get a raise. the main dr who is the owner and his bud dr. went on vacation leaving I dr to handle everything She did but it was no joke. If you open a business to protect life and death of animals and profess your dying love of them you need to have a least 2 dr on staff, unless you want to open a really small place. Anyway I think his father wouldn't be so proud of him. . I'll go back because of the great staff and this 1 Dr. but shame on him.

Local Vets Has Been Tremendous for Me

Local Vets has been a lifesaver for my girlfriend and I; literally. For about 4 months we noticed our Puggle Puppy, Decker, had a bump on his stomach. We saw two separate vets who weren't able to tell us anything about it and suggested it might just be a bruise or inflammation due to eating something that didn't sit right. After using local vets, we were able to find a great veterinarian who diagnosed it as an umbilical hernia he received when he was born. Had we not found a vet who could diagnose and treat Decker's hernia, it's possible he would have died or fallen severely ill a few months down the road.

Local Vets is fantastic for anyone looking for a second opinion or just a decent veterinarian in general.

LocalVets.com

My experience with local vets could not have been better. My dog is a little old so any medical attention she needs can be stressful. LocalVets took the initial stress away by helping me find a local office quickly.

Thanks,
Shawn

Fantastic Resource

I used this service to help my new German Shepherd puppy, Tiger, get all his shots & this was a great way to meet a caring vet for my pup. Best of all, Tiger liked the place, too!

Extortion

This company basically tries to buy up all the veterinarian search real estate on the web and sell it back to vets. By being the top listing on the page, someone already aware of your clinic and looking for your phone number ends up finding it on their service and you get charged $50. Most of the calls you get are for current customers and they charge you for the call when long time clients make appointments. If a current client gives a referral to a friend and they find your phone number on veterinarians.com, they charge you the $50 finders fee even though they are not responsible for the referral. You can get some of the charges reversed, but if you don't monitor it closely you will pay a lot of money for current customers calling their tracking number by accident. They are owned by a group that will monitor your presence on the web - so you pay the parent to compete with the subsidiary you are already paying - not a very ethical business model. They also advertise their tracking number on other sites and effectively compete with your free or paid listings on those sites.

brings in good, quality clients

We have used LocalVets.com for many years (at least through two name changes) and they have consistently brought us the types of clients that we are looking for. I have used their recorded phone calls in staff training and it also helped me isolate a problem with an employee who was not being truthful. I will continue to use them.

Easy for clients to find us.

Local Vets makes it easy for clients to find us. They are great about working with our software since their last update to check to see if the leads turn into clients for our practice.

This is a great service

We get between 1 to 5 new clients a month with this service (we are a small vet office). You can hear the phone calls that come in so you can always check to make sure the client actually booked with you through this service. I highly recommend it!

Win Win Situation

Provides a resource for new clients to contact you. You only pay one fee per client if they actually visit your practice. Also provides a way to see how your receptionists are answering your phone and if they are making that appointment. You can go to your account and review calls and if you are billed for a client and they do not show or are an existing client you can have the call reviewed for credit. Customer service is excellent if you have a problem. You do need to go and review your calls especially the ones that you are charged for to make sure they did result in a new client visit within 35 days of the call or you will be billed regardless if they came in or not.

Pets and vets benefit from LocalVets.com: purrfect together!!

We have been able to connect more pets and their families with our veterinary services, getting pets the care they need, which pet parents expect, because we feel that's our primary responsibility at Animal Health Care of Marlboro. Through our relationship with LocalVets. when a pet parent needs to find a local veteriniarian they can find us by zip code and immediately phone us to allow us to help their pets, answer questions, and provide the pet care that they need and deserve. We continue to grow our animal hospital though our relationship with new pets and LocalVets.

A good, steady way to build clientele.

I would recommend LocalVets.com. It has been a good, steady way to build clientele. They only charge by the booked appointment and you get to listen to the calls to help monitor how staff handles calls. It is a great training tool.

Great Service

We love Local Vets! They have allowed us to gain more new clients through their reliable service. One of the biggest benefits I see out of this service, other than the new clients, is the ability to listen to the recorded calls for training. I use this feature all the time to work with my front office staff. I'd definitely recommend this service to any vet hospital!

You'd be dumb not to use LocalVets.com

You get to customize your own profile by adding content, photos and even videos. The best part is you only pay for the calls that make appointments. If there is a discrepancy with a charge, it is fairly easy to put a call up for a review and be refunded. The site also offers analytics so you can track where profile views and phone calls are coming from as well as listen to the phone calls themselves; each call is recorded. Like I said, you would be dumb not to take advantage of what LocalVets.com has to offer.
