looking forward to a long relationship with Lloyd's
and also hoping they don't close many of their branches,
Lloyds are one of the easiest banks to deal with; you can speak to a real person and opening another business account was simple.
I was great experience with Lloyds team . Thanks
I took all your wise questions seriously with all a little touch of frost.
Opening a bank account for an international business/ charity was almost impossible as the majority of banks required all Board members to be UK residents. This was not possible for our charity. Lloyds Bank was very flexible with our application and after some additional verification approved our application.
It’s my first business bank account, the process was easy and I am happy. Thank you

I have been with them for almost a decade and the app is down 7 out of 10 attempts.

A terrible bank to have as your business bank. Please avoid unless you like working with stone age prehistoric phone apps and online platforms.
- To start with the application process takes months, is slow with poor communication
- Setting up a client account is worse still
- The mobile app is the worst banking app I have ever used, there is no function for notifications of payments in or out.... which is surely one of the key features? You can't see payment details within the app (payment references) and the search function for payments has no functionality at all unless you simply want to filter by payment in or payment out (good look searching for a specific payee)
- The online browser based experience gets worse still, why get some where with one click when you can make it a 10 click experience, resulting in any job taking many times longer than it needs. I dread using it. Running payroll each month is the worst day of the month for me purely as I have to use either the terrible app or the terrible browser platform.
- Also, your card wont work with Apple or Google Wallet so you have to carry around just 1 card all the time with your phone....
- The client account doesn't even come with a card, making the client account half pointless

Avoid this bank for business unless you love wasting time going around in circles. Impossible to get hold of the right team and given the wrong advice by online chat advisors. Such an annoying bank. Very quick to give you a loan- you can even do this automatically through the app! But trying to repay a loan well that’s a different story… tells you everything you need to know!

The application was long winded and took far longer than I expected. Using the Card Reader to access my account is a real faff compared to the Halifax online access which simply sends a code to my mobile phone- much easier and simpler.
