First of all, we're so sorry that you find our communication poor, as we have really tried to find a solution (fx to move the date, so that you didn't loose the deposit) in collaboration with you.
When you booked our location, you at the same time sign up for our conditions, here included "if you cancel BEFORE 10 days before the booked date, you loose your deposit", so what you are writing isn't actually true. We have never told you, that you need to pay for the whole event - only that our conditions says "In case of cancellation later than 10 days before the booked date, little house is entitled to charge the full amount of the party" to explain why you loose your deposit.
We are still sorry, that we didn't find a solution, but we really did try our best in agreement with our conditions.
