I just went through the headache of choosing and purchasing a security system for a new residence we moved into this year. It was a real pain with all the choices and there are a lot out there. Not all companies are truly what they say they are at first look either. It takes a lot of time and effort to dig through all the false claims some are making.
I am one of those people who digs through the details when involved in a purchase such as this. The bright spot and directly why I chose Link Interactive was their customer service representative (Lacy Bagshaw), I worked with, she was exceptional. She went out of her way checking into details to get answers for questions I had about their systems that weren't readily available. She returned phone calls or answered emails very promptly, kept me informed of the situation at all times. Honestly I am not used to getting this kind of service these days!
My system was shipped out today, hopefully when I get it installed it works as well. From all the reviews I read, I do expect it too.

I have a rare four-wire security system of which the technical support staff was unfamiliar. In addition, our sensors were connected in a daisy chain configuration. Each time I called technical support they answered quickly and patiently and adeptly attempted to resolve the issues.
After activating the alarm, I added z-wave devices and configured sensor triggers of which I needed assistance. Again, each time the technical and customer services were impeccable.
Link Interactive's customer service and out-of-the-box problem solving are outstanding! My ultimate compliment is that they are on par with Apple-Amazon-Costco. Thank you!

Purchased all the equipment on Costco.com and the price for all the equipment I got was about $980 compared to over $2000 from other competing companies. The set up was lengthy due to the number of sensors I ordered but super easy and simple and I didn't even need to contact support. I did need to register my alarm with the local police department but kept forgetting to do that and send them the receipt. After a few month, their customer service agent actually sent me a letter with the application for my local police department along with a pre-addressed and stamped envelope and a check made out to the police department for the exact amount of the registration fee. The letter they included explained that the cost of the registration fee would just get added to my next months $34.99 service fee. They didn't bother charging me for the stamp. The service agreement did have a 3 year contract but it was $34.99/month with video monitoring ($19.99/month without video I think) compared to everyone else that was trying to charge $2,000+ for equipment and $54.99+ per month if I wanted security, fire, smoke, and video monitoring. Contacted support once because I had a limit of 1,000 video clip recordings from motion sensing exterior cameras per month, they said it would cost $5 per month extra to raise the limit to 5,000 clips. They raised the limit for free for that first month just so I can check to see if I would need more than 1,000 (I didn't). Overall I'm extremely happy with the price and service when compared to other competitors.

Links to technical documents have been sent immediately to me, to help me mull over specs, and make a final decision on components to order, or eliminated as not appropriate to how my home is set-up.

We had some difficulty getting things set up. The control panel would not communicate with the front door automatic lock. We had to buy something additional to make it happen. The possibility of additional costs was not explained up front. The entire installation process was longer than we were told, but it is doable. Customer service was awesome through the entire process!!!! No matter how ignorant I was to the process, they NEVER lost patience with me. The service is doing great now.

Constantly having sensors go off for no reason. They are all door/window sensors. I think that the batteries might be old in all of them. We have not set our alarm in weeks because of it. The camera's also go off line easily. Our last company we had for 3 years and had no issues at all.

In the beginning I was a bit skeptical with the DIY install being I had never installed an alarm before. But the install along with the step-by-step instructions made everything easy... this is a great alarm system. And not just for the money. It's a great alarm system period.
