This company is trouble! Trouble after trouble. There's hardly a week uninterrupted service. Can't stream movies because - again error message about VPN and proxy server. First time it took weeks to find out that there was nothing wrong with Prime and other streaming channels but it was the Internet. Once there was no Internet over 3 days. While other companies - as it affected all Internet companies in the area - automatically issued refund, Link agent bluntly said "no, we don't do refund". Once called them at 5.30pm and could not get through to anyone although I was first in the queue BUT they kept me in queue after 6pm when they went home!!! As others mentioned it seems to be a one man show, only one guy is answering everything. But not complaints! I was referred to an email address and I never received a reply!!! It's not one, not two, not three problems but only problems! As soon as my contract expires I will run away from them as fast I can. Absolutely ridiculous company. Teens from a shed would do better. Can't wait to read their reply as they never replied to any of my email!

Since March 2024 the service has been appalling. During the month of March service was regularly disrupted which was later acknowledged in an email from the CTO (Geo) and required upgrade works at the data centre; the equipment clearly couldn't handle the amount of customers they're trying to serve.
This continued until at least the end of April and did improve but now we get disconnects every few days which is put down to unplanned maintenance.
Still arguing for compensation to this day as I'm paying £55 per month for broadband only which was for the most part unusable for at least a month.

Each week they have unplanned maintenance, service is constantly going down, customer support is non existing ( phone lines are only opened between specific times during Monday to Friday, but no one is picking up the phone. Also, having to talk with technical support or with Billing department, the same person answers the phone, giving the impression that one person does everything ).
I gave my cancellation notice, they replied in writing that i will be disconnected today at midday, but at 04:00 am i was already disconnected ( i planned my work day with the thought that i will still be able to work half of the day from home and rest of the day from the office, but in this case, i won't be able to work from home at all ).
I would not recommend this provider to anyone, totally unacceptable.

Internet goes down all the time. Never any notice and when you contact them you are just told it was unplanned maintenance. Appalling service! I have put in 17 support tickets over the last few weeks!!!

Today speeds dropped to 5Mbps - again no information as to why - ticket created and waiting. They don’t take any responsibility, no let me discount your package for all the f ups we do on a weekly basis. Can’t wait to leave them and never look back

Link Broadbands have an amazing user experience website. Whenever I encountered an issue, I sent a ticket and they were fast to respond.
The internet service is great and the prices are competitive!

They are constantly losing internet and don't have 24hr customer service.
They also asked my partner to factory reset my router which lost all of my smart home settings. This is unconscionable as all that was needed was a hard reset of the router!

Quite literally the worst internet provider on the ofnl network.
Weekly dropouts (say goodby to working from home)
Absolutely no customer service (will hang up the phone after waiting in a queue and you will never get a response by email) If you do manage to get through good luck getting anyone who can speak English.
Pay for 100MB connection and you’ll be lucky if you get over 30MB
VPNs don’t work correctly on there dodgy inferior network.
I have since moved to another provider and all my issues have completely gone away.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We never receive the speeds advertised, even on wired connections. We also frequently endure random service outages that take too long to sort out — none of our neighbours with other providers have these issues. We went with these guys because they are cheap, but it seems you get what you pay for.

The worst experience ever, constant fluctuations on the connection, they offered me 100mbps upload and download but I got a connection which is less than 30. Since the service was installed I had to complain and actually resquested to cancel the service after the first week of poor connection. They ignored my request several times and kept saying the issues were solved, I insisted for the cancellation as I work from home and I can relay in a internet and provider that are not trustful.
2 months after the superviser stated that he had to admit they made a huge mistake assigning my connection to the wrong server and he offered me to wait for 24 h with no Internet at all while they do the migration of my connection to a "higher speed" server, but again I've been played like a child as the quality hasn't changed and the internet yet is running very slow, on and off or not running at all as it is right now.
I have run speed test and I get proof that the upload is never above 40mbps which is far from the 100 speed plan I've been paying for.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!!

Very poor service. Constant drop outs, when you complain they’re not bothered. No compensation for disrupted services. Customer service not very helpful. I’d avoid them and use a different provider.

We have been loyal Link Broadband customers for over two or three years. Initially, we had no issues and happily recommended them. However, since the transition from OFNL and the introduction of their new IT system, our experience has deteriorated significantly.
Almost every week since then, our internet connection has become unreliable, disrupting our work-from-home routines. We understood this and accepted it for a month. However, the continuation of these frequent interruptions caused unnecessary stress, resulting in lost time and missed opportunities. Financially, it’s a risk we can’t afford.
Whether it’s a brief one-minute outage or a prolonged disruption, the impact is consistently felt. Unfortunately, we can no longer continue with this unreliable service if it does not improve and cannot recommend Link Broadband anymore. We are thinking of moving to other providers if the promises made today will not hold on to next week.
Update: 26.06.24 - The signal is consistent now and has not failed once since my initial review.
