The lessons are based on engaging dialogues based on comprehensible input, gradually introducing useful phrases and new words in a way they stick. After each lesson you are offered to do exercises to help review and memorize the phrases you’ve encountered.
There are also integrated flashcards with spaced repetition where you can add any phrases and words that you stumble upon while using the app.
Then there’s a reading section that includes carefully selected texts that make you want to read them. While reading, it is possible to click on each word to see the translation, and the app also keeps track of which words you click, as well as which words you’ve learned in the learning section, so that later you can focus on reviewing the words you have trouble with using the flashcards.
There is zero haphazard AI content and other annoying things often found in other language learning apps nowadays.
The only drawback so far is that only German is offered, and the content is limited.
I really wish this app a bright future. It’s like a pearl that is growing inside an oyster shell.

I started learning German with LinguaMerse some months ago and honestly it surprised me a lot. The app is growing and improving all the time and it really helped me kickstart my German journey in a way that actually feels natural. I like their idea of immersing in language instead of just memorizing random vocabulary. It feels like you slowly adapt to the language, like you live inside it, and this works way better then any boring school method.
What I like the most is that the app is conversation-based, not just drills or stuff like that. It uses their Beacon method where you learn full sentences from day one with words like “because” and “but” so you actually can express simple thoughts and not only say “the cat is black” forever like in other apps. Also it has great workflow with articles: you read, click any word to see grammar and translation, save it as flashcard, mark it as known. Everything in one place without hassle, so its really easy to study consistantly.
The founder is a nice guy too, he really listens to feedback and you can see how he and his team keep fixing things and adding useful features. It is rare when someone actually cares about users and not only marketing promises. My Lazy Language Club will use LinguaMerse too when they add more languages because this is one of the few apps that really helps to learn by immersion and real content, not just gamification tricks.
If you want to learn language through real sentences and real content and not waste time on shiny but useless apps, I definetly recommend trying LinguaMerse
