DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES HIRE THIS FAKE COMPANY. THEY PROMISE YOU THE WORLD, TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT DELIVER. SCAM, FRAUD YOU NAME IT. I AM ELDERLY AND HAVE LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THAT I SAVED FOR MY RETIREMENT MOVE TO THIS COMPANY. AND MANY OF MY DECEASED FAMILY'S BELONGINGS. I AM IN ABSOLUTE TEARS OVER THIS. They are crooked and overpriced!!!

I was in the process of making arrangements to be moved when the people decided not to move ! Well this so called movers said that they wouldn't give my deposit back. The simplified viewing page wouldn't load and I couldn't read the so micro print! These people are thiefs so don't waste your money! I want my deposit back! Oh if you want to report them to the BBB in Floriduh the BBB is doing a worse job than long haul moving.

Run far away, they are frauds

This company doesn't even deserve a 1 star. They are fraudulent and took money from us without doing the move and refuse to give us a refund. Get ready to be yelled at and hung up on by a rep named Kent, and for the manager to do nothing about it.

superb ☺️

During severe storms our family hired long haul moving & storage to transport some inherited furniture from Ky to Fl area. These movers excellent in all respects. They were efficient in their communication, punctual in their arrival, careful with the furniture and reasonably priced. The weather restrictions prevented us from renting a truck and driving it back ourselves, which was our original plan. But thankfully the team was proven as rescue for us.

Bait and Switch Scam

Scam. I hired Long Haul Moving & Storage to help me with a last-minute out-of-state move necessitated by a family emergency. They were very helpful on the phone at first - offered me a reduced rate given the circumstances and even applied a military discount on account of my grandfather's service.

I still wasn't sure and said I wanted to check with a few other options, first, since they were the first quote I'd gotten. They said that if I committed then and there, they could reduce the rate several hundred dollars more. I was already very stressed out from the family circumstances and unexpected move, so I said sure. They quoted me $1700 to load, transport, and unload a fully furnished 1-bedroom apartment from Boston, MA to central NC, with an optional "free" 30 days of storage.

They said they didn't accept my credit card (Discover), though, so I gave them my ACH details. I regret this. They took a 1/3 deposit ($688) from my account, with the rest to be paid half when the movers came and half when my stuff was delivered.

After I confirmed, they said they couldn't actually let me know what day the movers would be coming until three days in advance - which isn't enough time to get a moving truck parking exception from the city I was leaving, nor helpful for general planning purposes. But, it is what it is, right? They said they'd arrive at 9am on whichever day it was.

They didn't actually let me know when they were coming until the day before (Tuesday, coming Wednesday). They said it would be "between noon and 5." They arrived at 4pm. And then told me it would cost double. Double! $3300, when the original quote - based on a full list of my furniture and assurance that there would be "extra room" in the space reserved for me - was $1700.

I spent nearly an hour on the phone with "customer service," who said my only options were to pay the extra amount or forfeit my deposit. I sent them away, rented a UHaul, loaded and drove it 850 miles myself. Painful. Very painful.

From beginning to end we had an amazing…

From beginning to end we had an amazing experience with the gentlemen who helped us moved, Jamil. He went above and beyond with all our questions, concerns, and needs. He made this process such a breeze and took so much stress off of us. I would 10/10 recommend if you need any help with moving!!!

This is the first time I’m leaving a…

This is the first time I’m leaving a bad review for any company. When I called them I explained my situation and my budget. I told customer service my budget was $2000 and I was looking for a flat rate and shopping around. The salesperson told me he can make that happen but I have to give deposit that day to keep that rate. I did and few weeks later I was all packed and ready to move. Movers came and told me it was $3000 and if I didn’t agree they’d leave. I tried calling someone to figure out what happened but couldn’t get ahold of the person I spoke to the previous day. I had no choice and accepted hoping this would get rectified. Unfortunately when I called again the person I spoke to was rude and explained that I could get a lawyer but I won’t get anywhere because I signed papers stating the cost could increase. I explained I didn’t read everything cause I trusted them. When I asked if the price could go up I was told it won’t. I’m a single mom with two children and I had to arrange moving an entire home by myself and didn’t know where my head was at the time. When my things were delivered I realized there were things missing like my sons PS4 along with all kinds of electronics and games. Also my huge decorative mirror. My stone large sculpture/vase was broken, my bedroom furniture damaged and no one wants to take responsibility for any of that. This is anyone’s worst nightmare.

This is the worst moving company you…

This is the worst moving company you could ever choose. We booked them recently for a relocation from NY to FL. We paid extra to have a “3 day window” for the drop off of our things, and were guaranteed that our possessions would be delivered within these set dates. We also were promised a 24 hour call before delivery. Well the “3rd” day of this window of delivery we paid for came and went. No phone call, no communication. Sandy (the woman that arranged this) continued to ignore my calls, despite me leaving detailed voicemails and her knowing the details of our cross country move. I highly encourage you to stay away from this company!!!!

Great experience thanks to David Owen

We used Long Haul for a cross country move and had a great experience thanks to David. He was very helpful and responsive from start to finish, and any hiccup we ran into he made sure was handled. His top priority was ensuring we were taken care of and he 100% succeeded. Thanks David!

DO NOT USE LONG HAUL MOVING AND STORAGE - SCAM SCAM SCAM

Not sure what happened to my first review, so I'll add this one.

Bottom Line: Long Haul Moving and Storage is a bait and switch scam.

I spent hours on the phone with this company explaining the amount of stuff I had to move across the country. Repeatedly, on the phone and over text messages (which I kept by the way) their rep assured me my shipment would take most of the room in the truck - which he included in my estimate.

Come moving day, the carrier shows up at my house with a crew of guys and tells me I have double the amount of stuff Long Haul Moving and Storage told him I had. He demanded over double the estimated price to pack my stuff on his truck.

This did not happen.

Either Long Haul Moving and Storage is an incompetent broker, or they're running a scam. Either way, they still have my $6000 deposit.

Learn from my very painful financial mistake. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK WITH SOMEONE - ANYONE - ELSE.

Here's and update for anyone who has had to deal with this company. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has a fraud reporting system you can use. A quick Google search will take you right to it.

I didn't want to turn this into a Federal case, but this company leaves me no choice.
