Very very disgusting room

Very very disgusting room. Hair in the bathroom everywhere (from previous tenant) took 15 days to get someone to clean it. Reception staff was extremely rude and even threatened me. I have a call recording I am willing to forward. I have all pictures timestamped from the day of my move in. I am making a formal complaint about this like I have said in my multiple emails that have been ignored. The only time they responded to my email was when I didn't pay rent for a week to get attention. I was told that after I pay they won't ignore my issue but that is precisely what happened, they ignored me again: there's puke marks on my door, curtains so smelly that I took them down. Carpet so dirty if you walk barefoot on it, you will get things stuck to your foot. Sink has a white deposit on it. Spit marks and some gooey green stuff on walls. All this was documented in my email still it took 15 days to even send a cleaner. I have paid for a weekly cleaner by the way and that never happened. They haven't even responded to my emails and the lady on the reception pretty much harassed me for even complaining about this. Also, this whole time I haven't even received a single apology from them about the state of my room let alone any compensation or the refund of my rent during which the room was in a horrible and unlivable situation. Would never wish this experience for anyone

Food

Matteo the chef in charge of the kitchen in LHA Bowden Court has excelled himself in providing delicious and varied foods every day of the week, including different desserts and even treats and nice surprises like freshly made pop corn for everyone in the hostel to enjoy, hot and fresh out of the oven croissants. I had stayed 3 times in Bowden Court over the last 6 years and I am glad to see the work and quality of the food Matteo produces has improved. Matteo should be applauded as its very challenging to accomplish variety while pleasing the many may people that eat daily in Bowden Court. Many thanks for the great work you do and for your contribution to Bowden Court guests securing we are all well nourished. Bravo!

Very odd organisation

Years ago, I tried booking a room in person at one of their locations but was met with such rudeness and bad customer service that I made a complaint-which was ignored.
Recently-bit of backstory first- I'm a Londoner, working a professional job in London but currently based in the West Country, I thought one of their rooms would be ideal for a few months closer to the office.
Their rooms look a bit overpriced but my reasoning was convenience. I sent them an email and waited....and waited...about a month later I received this:

Thank you for submitting your application and apologize for the delayed response.
However, we regret to inform you that all our locations are currently sold out and we don't have a timeline for when rooms will become available again.

Is it just me you don't like?? Very odd organisation.

Best in the area

I have been a resident at the Leinster for years. It is very clean and very well looked after. The position is exceptional. Staff is very helpful.

not serious structure

not serious structure. they got the rate wrong on booking.com and despite having the confirmed booking they canceled the room the day before departure without respecting the overbooking rules dictated by booking.com a circus that caused me only economic damage to find an alternative accommodation last minute. I do not recommend. they have to stay unemployed to learn how to provide decent customer service.

last resort accommodation

A really good place of you are close to homelessness, you have a bad credit or no recommendations. They usually charge rates above market for the areas of their locations, but you can get out of contract within a week notice.

I had things missing from my room and nobody answer my calls or my emails. Their staff are overwhelming immigrants working part-time for accommodation (resembling modern slavery) which couldn't care less about customer service or even basic courtesy.

They will enter the rooms unannounced, they have the right to kick you out with no explanation, and rise the prices at will, by posting an announcement at the house boards!!!
