Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 298 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People consistently experienced terrible product failures, such as broken appliance parts, leaking washing machines, and malfunctioning screens shortly after purchase. Consumers also found the customer support teams completely unhelpful and rude when trying to resolve these ongoing problems. Some reviewers were happy with certain aspects of the televisions, praising the bright colors, modern design, and clear picture quality. Other buyers noted that the initial setup and basic functions met expectations when the devices were operating properly, though these positive experiences were often overshadowed by widespread hardware and service complaints.

Sound issues on Soundbar US95TR

The sound on soundbar US95TR HDMI(ARC) had stop working. I posted my issue on the support WhatsApp group and so for I’m on the 4th day of getting nowhere. Each day they say they are busy and then ask the same question from the day before. It’s now getting frustrating.

We bought an LG OLED TV a couple of years ago and it has already gone faulty. It wasnt a cheap TV. We contacted LG but the TV was out of warranty (only 12 months). I suppose if only 12 months warranty is given on their product they dont have much faith in it and perhaps should have been a red flag.. Their customer service were meant to let me knkw a suitable repaor centre in our area but never did. After this experience, we would never buy anothe LG product.

I would strongly advise against buying…

I would strongly advise against buying an LG washing machine.

After just 10 months of normal use, my machine started damaging clothes by putting holes in them. I’ve had two engineer visits arranged, but neither was able to identify the fault. Despite this, the problem continues and more clothing is being ruined.

What’s most disappointing is the lack of support from LG. They are now refusing to send another engineer and have told me I need to pay for an independent inspection myself, which is unacceptable for a product that is still under a year old.

A washing machine should not be causing this kind of damage, especially so early in its lifespan. Based on my experience, both the product quality and customer service have been extremely poor.

I would not recommend LG products.

LG OLED65GX6LA Review – Great Picture, Disappointing Lifespan 😕📺

I bought the LG OLED65GX6LA about 5 years ago, expecting a premium TV to last much longer, especially at this price point.
While the picture quality has always been excellent, the reliability has been a real letdown. After around 5 years of normal use, it started randomly switching off, making it frustrating and unreliable to watch.
For such an expensive TV, you expect durability and consistency, not issues that make it almost unusable. Sadly, it’s not something I’d trust again when it comes to long-term value.

NEVER AGAIN LG!

Avoid LG Electronics at all costs—appalling customer service.

We purchased an LG American-style fridge freezer just 5 years ago, and last month the freezer stopped working. After arranging a call-out with LG-recommended engineers Pacifica (costing £215), we were told the compressor had failed.

However, just two days after submitting the engineer’s report, LG came back claiming it was not the compressor but an unspecified “internal fault.” No proper explanation was provided, and because of this revised diagnosis, they refused to repair or replace the unit.

To make matters worse, we were warned that if we challenged their decision, we wouldn’t get our £215 call-out fee refunded.

The whole experience has been frustrating, confusing, and completely lacking in transparency. A product like this should last far longer than 5 years, and the warranty messaging on the appliance feels misleading.

We will never purchase an LG product again.

I rarely leave reviews

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience with LG Electronics has been extremely disappointing.

My fridge delivery failed twice. The first time, the delivery team arrived but weren’t properly equipped to complete the job. The second time also failed, and now the third scheduled delivery has been cancelled without any explanation.

I’ve taken time off work multiple times to wait at home, only to be let down each time. Meanwhile, my family has been left without a fridge, which is a basic necessity. This has been especially difficult as we have a young child and a pregnant partner at home.

Customer support has not provided clear answers or a reliable timeline, just generic responses and rescheduling.

Overall, this has been a very frustrating and stressful experience. I expected much better from a company like LG.

I would not recommend ordering directly from LG based on this experience.

What a disappointment with LG

Bought a washer dryer from John Lewis my reason for doing so was the 10 year motor guarantee. In recent months it has made a noise like a jumbo jet landing and contacted trading standards who said I should get a free repair after four years under sale of goods act, Contacted John Lewis who inspite of having details on f the sale insisted I forwarded proof of purchase by email with photos which at my age nearer 80 than 75 was so stressful. I was assured a free repair and told to contact LG direct. Again after spending all day yesterday again providing proof they had my guarantee details so unnecessary I was told the two year guarantee ran out two years ago. I explained what Trading Standards told me but told no an immediate fee of £75 before an Engineet would come out, I said a few eeeks I was offered an extended warranty for fifteen pounds a month which I should have taken then reported the fault got a repair for free. This machine is used once a week not a very good advert for this product.

Thank you LG.

Thank you LG.
You sorted out a poorly installed 13kg LG machine from a retailer 12 weeks ago whose installation caused after a few weeks considerable day leaks and daily very wobbly machine.
Your CLUB agent who called X then preferred repair service company Pacifica...were .. EXCELLENT 👍 Darren the engineer knew his washing machines !
A stressful experience to resolve but at last a troubled free wash without mop x bucket X muscles. The LG club does function which how the warranty is managed from a place far far away!

Customer Service extremely poor

Bought 65"TV direct from LG . Delivered 9/4/26 . Panel failed 5 days later. Reported problem to customer services by phone . They had me make a live video showing the problem . I explained that the TV was wall mounted and would need lifting off the bracket and the replacement putting back by the delivery team, I'm over 70 and can't do this myself. Was promised an update within 48 hours. Didn't get one so went on chat , no help what soever . Told they didn't have any stock and they didn't know when they'd get any. Asked for a refund and return. later I got an email saying return and replacement had been approved. Back on the phone to ensure replacement was done and refund cancelled. Two days later phone call from delivery company saying they were collecting faulty TV but no replacement. Contacted LG again collection and replacement confirmed. 2 days later delivery company rang to arrange collection and deliver replacement, they can't take defective TV off bracket and put new one up without LG say so. Back on the phone took ages to get foreign telephone agent understand the problem. In the end they said they'd have to submit the job for approval. Asked to be transferred to a manager but refused. Only got 2 working days before the delivery and I've been left with the job in the air again. Unless you can stand the stress don't buy from LG UK website.

Dangerous machines made incredibly difficult to do anything about.

We have a washer dryer only 6 months old which was received in October 2025 as a replacement for a previous LG which failed!
This replacement started smoking and burning and is highly dangerous.
Engineer was sent out but wouldn’t inspect on the first visit because he was apparently not allowed to touch the isolation valve as it required a screwdriver to turn, also advised he was not allowed to touch the stopcock and said he couldn’t permit my sister who had waited in for him to turn it either!

Had to alter the isolation valve in order for them to agree to re-inspect which is honestly just ridiculous and the plumber attending to change the valve said he honestly couldn’t believe they could justify saying they couldn’t operate the valve.

Engineer finally came out to inspect again and only turned appliance on at the wall, he did not turn the appliance itself on but within seconds it was burning hot and I could smell burning. Initially they suggested this was due to dust but there was no dust in the area described so I had to stress that was clearly an incorrect diagnostic. Eventually it was decided a replacement part was required. An appointment to fit it was booked. Out of nowhere this appointment was then cancelled without telling me as apparently they couldn’t get the part!! Told me I had to speak to LG again which is incredibly painful as no one listens and no one helps. Eventually that same day an appointment was rebooked because they then miraculously found the part?!
All so much time wasted.

New part gets fitted and again within seconds there is a burning smell and appliance is red hot. Given that previous customers have experienced this they should be considering a recall given the threat to life and property, but no, instead they invest all their energy in trying to avoid compensation in any way. We’re now nearly 4 weeks on having had to constantly pay costs for laundry still with a broken machine sat in the kitchen. As a company they should honestly be ashamed of themselves. I previously believed them to be a reputable brand but I wish I’d looked at these reviews first as they clearly have no morals and no interest in customer service. We now have to wait for them to send another replacement which I have no faith in whatsoever, I don’t want their products in my house but have no other option unless I’m willing to write off spending a significant amount on the item as they will not give me a refund.
Whole thing is disgusting and there has been no regard for the severity of the situation.

Avoid at all costs

Purchased a washer dryer in August 2025 and in February 2026 (within 6 months of delivery) it started overheating. LG arranged a repair but unfortunately this was unsuccessful leading the appliance continuing to overheat (both during wash and dry cycles) and then eventually started smoking. LG are not complying with the consumer rights act by refusing a refund and thus breaking the law. Have had to initiate a section 75 claim to get my money back. Terrible, unethical company which acts illegally in response to a potentially life threatening fault to avoid refunding £418.

My sister bought an LG washing machine

My sister bought an LG washing machine. Constant mould on door seal which is impossible to clean due to poor design which leaves a very bad smell in the machine. LG customer services not interested in the slightest and cut off conversation. Machine is still under warranty so will cost more money to replace the door seal that is not fit for purpose. If i could give zero stars would have done.

LG (Warranty Issue Still Unresolved)

I purchased an LG washing machine advertised with a 5-year warranty and registered it shortly after purchase from Currys. However, my account only shows a 2-year warranty.

I have contacted LG multiple times, but the issue remains unresolved with no clear explanation.

This is frustrating and undermines trust, as the warranty was part of the purchase decision. Customers should not have to chase repeatedly for something that was clearly advertised.

Very poor experience so far.

I recently bought an lg oled tv from richer sounds

I recently bought an lg tv from richer sounds.
The tv itself is very good to be fair & no issues with richer sounds.
The tv is adverstised with a £100 cashback offer.
Lg says to wait 60 days after purchase & then submit a claim.
Which i've now done 3 times.
I keep getting replies saying my claim has been rejected as the serial number doesn't match their records.
It says to make sure you enter the exact digits & to be careful with o & 0 & so on.
Wnenever i enter the serial number on the form it accepts it, yet when i submit it i'm told it doesn't match.
I feel really let down by lg.
Like i said the tv itself is really nice.
This was my first time buying lg.
I won't be doing it again.

CASHBACK OFFER refused again

CASHBACK OFFER . I keep getting the rejection on the cashback offer i had when i bought the expensive TV. They keep saying the Invoice date does not match . I have the invoice date on the Costco invoice which is correct . So does this mean my LG 5 year warranty is invalid then. So its off to the small claims court . I would not buy any LG product ever again. Its the 3rd time ive tried to Claim , i have been in touch with LG themselves who say the invoice is correct but there cashback department say its incorrect . You cant have it both ways LG. Its either OK or not . So im after the full amount for the TV now as in my mind its not guaranteed . So pay up. Or i just keep with the court

Extremely Poor Communication – Left Stuck Between Raylo and LG

I’m genuinely disappointed with the level of communication and support I’ve received. I’ve been trying to get a confirmed replacement for my faulty LG television, which developed issues within the first month of purchase. LG has already assessed the fault, created a case, and agreed it qualifies for replacement (Case Reference: CNU260414176693).

However, LG repeatedly tells me they have no communication or request from Raylo’s side regarding my replacement. I’ve spent long calls going back and forth, and I’m stuck between two parties with zero progress. This lack of coordination is extremely frustrating and has started affecting my wellbeing because I’m doing all the chasing while nothing moves forward.

All I’ve asked for is simple: share the reference or communication you’ve sent to LG, if any, so I can escalate properly. But so far, I’ve received no clarity, no updates, and no visible action from Raylo.

For a company that handles customer devices and replacements, this level of communication is unacceptable. I just want this resolved, but right now, I’m not seeing any responsibility or urgency from Raylo’s side.

4 Months for a GTEE Fridge repair disgusting

I registered a repair for an double door fridge freezer that I paid approx. £1700 for, LG told me that the compressor is Gteed for 10 years but I will have to pay a call out charge in case its not the compressor. This repair was registered with LG on the 26/01/2026 and was then booked in for an engineer who said the fan was faulty. The fan was replaced but the fridge still didn't work after 3 engineer visits the Engineer said the Compressor is definitely faulty. I have no issue with the engineers who were from an independent company and not an official LG engineer. From this point LG customer service said we deem the fridge a right off and will replace the fridge with an alternative or a refund. I received an offer of £884.51 on the 27/03/26 so 2 months after engineers visits. I called chasing LG and said the compressor is Gteed for 10 yrs so I expect a refund for the full amount of what I paid for the fridge or repair my fridge, I was told we have already written the fridge off so it cannot be repaired and that the refusal of the offer can be escalated to senior management but they will say no. I asked to speak to senior management but I was told they are not customer facing (Absolutely disgusting service in my opinion). I then had to chase again after 10 days and was then told that LG need to check stock availability before they can advise me of a replacement model. 1 week later I received a offer for a replacement fridge and replied the fridge you have offered me is a plumbed in version where as my old one was not and that I ma happy to accept but there may not be a plumbed water point at the time you deliver the fridge. On the 8/04/26 I chased again why I have not heard anything or received my fridge and was told they had to check stock availability before sending me the delivery details. I did say you told me the stock availability was checked prior to LG giving me an offer so why are we doing this again. Its now 14/04/26 and still no fridge. I find the customer service the worst I have dealt with, the plan to secure customers and sort out issues absolutely disgusting and not fair process. I have been without a fridge for 4 months and haven't heard anything from LG ads to compensation for this or the money I have lost of rotten food. This should not be allowed from a company this size. Through the whole process I have had to chase them instead of them coming to me. I advise before buying an LG product take the customer service I have received, I have never had this with Samsung or Beko on items under warranty. I am still waiting for LG to contact me with a resolution but will be asking for a full refund if they cannot deliver. DO NOT BUY LG I HIGHLEY ADVISE. I WILL NOT TOUCH ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR PRODUCTS AGAIN

Dreadful experience

Dreadful experience. Rude and can’t do, not interested at all manner.

Have several LG goods in the house but didn’t expect a £1250 TV to break 25 months after purchase.

First quoted £1200 repair bill to send it back and see if they could repair it. A call the next day from same customer advisor Anna then quoted £2500 to repair, we mentioned the Sales of Goods Act and Anna said she knew about it but it didn’t apply to us and said call AO who we purchased tv from.

AO were brilliant came and picked tv up arranged the next day (remember we haven’t had a working tv for a week at this stage) and negotiated a partial refund (less use) which we were happy with.

It would appear after AO received tv engineers report and contacted LG as 5 days later (on the day AO picking up the tv) the same Anna (who wouldn’t give us her surname) or a direct line contact number called and left a voicemail say ‘I was wrong I can offer a repair under warranty’.

I will never buy another LG product. The tv has a known hardware problem (wish we had read reviews before we bought)
