Lexia is the worst Edtech app and website I've ever used in my entire life. Let me explain. First of all it reads slow, never updates progress, and is super buggy. Never use it a day in your life.... See more

the site leaves a lot to be improved. the menu is outdated, the voices are robotic, and if you do 1 mistake it forces you to "relearn" the phrase involved, which sometimes takes more than 10 minutes!... See more
Lexia is OK but I still would rather do recess instead so I think that we should just do recess so yeah. Lexi is better than I ready.
Lexia powerup is the worst application published onto the apple appstore. it is an unreliable hot mess of buggy code. Monkeys with typewriters can do cleaner code then the 80 year old easter island... See more

Lexia is boring
A toddler could do lexia and they would be bored, the person with the biggest imagination would be bored, to boring, it is a waste of time it does not help me learn it just tells me thing I already knew I learned nothing new from lexia.
Truly ignorant company.
Honestly an awful company. I am trying to make this review seem as least biased as I can, but that will be very difficult. I hope this reaches out to at least one person at Lexia. I feared my brother raging from Lexia Core 5 Reading today he was going to break the PC. The fact you guys have been getting awful reviews for years now from both students and parents (and in some case even teachers), and choose to do absolutely nothing about it is extremely hard to comprehend. Take constructive criticism, and actually make your services somewhat enjoyable, or at the very least, not backlash worthy. Get a grip.
the bane of my existence
this is fricking horrible. the voice is terrible, the unskippable videos are terrible, and it is HELL to experience this. I want to yeet this off a plane, into a volcano, and vaporize it in a nuclear reactor.
THIS WAS TRASHHHH
Bruh this is so unrewarding i would NOT recommend this "learning" app at ALL
Depriving of energy.
I would not reccomend this app for any school, anywhere. It sucks ou all your energy and strength and you probably won't be ble to finish one lesson. It took me two whole months to finish one lesson, and then after you get like, 2 questions wrong, it takes you too a useless unrelated video for no reason. Oh and dont even get me started on that annoying voice that yaps all the time. Every single time you start something new or you go to the next, question or even if you get something wrong it yaps. Why do schools always pick the worst apps. I do not reccomend.

It's BARELY decent but is super…
It's BARELY decent but is super frustrating that someone broke their Chromebook punching the screen in a fit of rage and the platform has caused many other destructions of property through aggravation.
Oh boy, where do I even start.
This has to be one of the worst learning resources you can give to your students.
You are given 3 options, Word Study, Grammar (the worst one), and Comprehension. The problem is, that it's so slow and boring. The robot guy takes like 20 seconds just to finish talking, and there's no way to skip it or anything, so you will be just listening to this voice 97% of the time in Lexia. Even worse, if you get 2 questions incorrectly, you are be transported to a extremely long, tedious and time wasting mini lesson, most likely not relating to the subject at all.
Worst of all, you are learning things that you learned in like 2nd grade. Keep in mind that I am in 8th grade, and we still use it. Prodigy (which has multiple problems already) is at least a better learning resource, as you actually gain something from it. This however, is just for teachers who are too lazy to actually get out of their seat and actually teach their students.
If you want to make this app better, I recommend 2 options. Option 1, is to add a skip button when the robot man is talking. This would help a lot and save a lot of time. Option 2 would just to be to delete it. Lexia is no more.
1 star. 0 if I could. If you have a teacher that is planning on using this, tell them to look at the reviews.
Lexia sucks
Lexia is very good I learn so much and the voice is super calming. This is an amazing learning resource. I love the system and how much I learn thank you Lexia Power up. Said no one ever lexia causes me so much stress and makes me want to break my computer I would much rather run 5 miles on glass than do lexia. I am also making a request to make Lexia Illegal to do because of the stress it causes me I will also be emailing Lexia so they can fix the app.

Really bad. Needs some redesigns
Anon grade 8 student here.
TLDR: This program sucks and is more like teaching your students "Throw yourself at a brick wall until you get through!"
So, Ive been with Lexia Powerup since Grade 6, and to put it lightly, this is worse then torture. The lessons are extremley mindnumbing and you barley learn anything. One thing id highlight is that whenever your in the "Finale" as I put it, if you get just 2 questions wrong, your sent all the way back to the start of the lesson.
Also, Most of the lessons can be extremley boring, Its just a monotone voice saying stuff like "Please spell C-at" with no real emotion and they take extremley long to talk (in my opinion atleast, im not quite the patient type).
So, Teachers, Schools, Etc... Save yourself the money and time and just dont, find something else atleast if you dont want your students to have a bad time.
Some things id suggest however:
- Add a skip button if we already have heard the dialouge before so we dont need to be babysitted and told what a noun is the 77th time when we eventually fail again and just wait.
- Assuming this is a bot reading out the questions, etc... Get some actual people to voice it instead of only on the videos. I know it might seem like a waste of time but TRUST ME itll help alot.
- Instead of redoing the whole thing, maybe add a area where if you fail durring the finale your sent to a short "recap" of what maybe you did wrong and just then moving onto a more short version of the original quiz so we can get back where we just were faster and retry.
It is unrewarding
It is unrewarding, a pain in a but, would not recommend for schools, its lessons are long and kids to not learn anything but what they have already learned, streaks make it so frustrating when you get it wrong and I hope lexia gets a better update, one star if not 0
