This was a ton of fun! I was disappointed that we didn't know we should bring props and that because locations were closed we couldn't finish the last two challenges. Therefore the other four did not... See more

This Company is a SCAM- please Don't fall for it like I did
This Company is a SCAM. They offer a product that does not actually work and then string you along and never actually refund you for it.
My scavenger hunt was paid for and scheduled in advance, I even confirmed with them again the day before. Day of, the app would not start and their customer support just kept saying please wait for over an hour, so we're standing there with a group waiting to start and feeling ridiculous. It has been over a month now and they still have not refunded me. Do not fall for it like I did.
UPDATE:
I see the response from Let's Roam! I have been contacting this email address regularly and have received nothing but "sorry for the delay" for over a month. Trust has been shattered when I was originally open to giving it another chance.

Awesome date activity for exploring!
Super fun experience for people who want to get to know Tucson. I bought tickets for this hunt as a date and it was actually really fun seeing places in Tucson that I’ve never been. Everything is very centralized so it’s easy to complete each challenge!

No refund for technical problems
Refer to my previous post from 27 jan 2026 Demaeght Each time my screen is blocked
You answered:
Please note that tickets and subscriptions are generally non-refundable, but we do review all refund requests carefully. Your request submitted on January 10, 2025, is still under review by our billing team, and refunds are processed according to our policy.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
my patience has its limits!

There are also significant complaints about technical issues with the app, puzzles that are too easy, and difficulties obtaining refunds.
Colloquially known as scammers.
Dear people, don't do it! I've spent over €68 on something that doesn't work

Terrible
Terrible. The questions are barely related to the location/sight, really simple, and excessive amounts of silly photo taking. Really underwhelmed. Do NOT recommend

Waste of time
We did the Porto scavenger hunt and it was a complete waste of time.
It said entrance fees don’t apply but the majority of the challenges required that you enter the attractions. The questions were either moronically easy or completely wrong, we even asked a member of staff to confirm the question and answer and they said the app was nonsense.
We do scavenger hunts when we visit cities and this was the biggest waste of time and disappointment. Will never use this app or company again.

Beware
I ordered the adventure books for family members at Christmas. They came relatively quick however almost a month later I got an almost $26 charge on my account. I emailed and they said I must’ve clicked on a link on the checkout page. I did not because I remember it saying to be careful not to accidentally click that link. If you have to warn customers to not click something because it’s so easy to do so, your website should be redesigned.
I spoke to customer service through an email and they guaranteed that my money would be back within 10 to 15 days. However, 10 days later not only did I not have my money but they deducted another almost $26 from my account.
I sent another email and they apologized again and said that my money would be returned. That was January 18 and I have not received any of the money back into my account.
At this point, I’m just going to call my bank and dispute the charges and leave reviews wherever I can.
This company obviously can’t be trusted to do the right thing.
Update: 2/11- They have once again taken money out of my account. After multiple emails assuring me that nothing else would come out of my account. Plus this pathetic response they send to reply to my review trying to cover up how they do business. This company has TAKEN money from me again.
Don’t ever waste your time. They are nothing but a SCAM.

Total scam
I purchased 2 annual passes and then accidentally purchased a third. That happened on Dec 8, 2025. I contacted them Dec 9, 2025 and explained what happened. They immediately removed the third membership from my account and said I would get a refund. It is now Feb 3, 2026 and still no refund. I was told on at least 2 calls and 1 email that it was pending but they were swamped with billing requests. The last was in early January when I was told my refund would be processed within 24 hours.
Now they will no longer respond to emails. Do not put your trust in this company. I was willing to use the other two memberships but now will dispute them with my credit card as well.

Very disappointed
I was very happy to see that Lets Roam had a good rating on Trustpilot. My experience has been quite the opposite. I have been overcharged three times the number of packages I purchased. I used their chat feature, which was so unhelpful that I captured screenshots of the entire exchange which lasted almost an hour. When I was able to reach a human, by phone, customer service assured me that refunds would be processed between seven and 10 business days and that was over 40 days ago.
Consider considering that my legitimate purchases were gifts, and activation will start when each recipient starts their first ScavengerHunt, I still have no assurance that they have actually received a gift, and that it’s not a scam. Very disappointed.

AVOID.AVOID.AVOID at all costs...save yourself time and money
Avoid this company at all costs because what you'll get is money taken for tickets never purchased and endless emails to customer service that yields ZERO results. Scammer! Scammers! Scammers!I would leave a zero rating if that were an option.
I had three friends visiting Scotland and decided a scavenger hunt may be a nice way for them to experience some of the sites offered. I found Let's Roam scavenger hunt and purchased 3 tickets for £28.83. Immediate regret when as I put the payment through the screen flashed and I was suddenly thanked for purchasing more tickets. How many? I couldn't tell you! Immediately my bank account debited for £56.31 plus the £28.83 for the three tickets. Immediate panic and knew something not right with this company.
Came onto trustpilot reviews and had a read through other peoples experiences and immediately the penny dropped. Definite Scam! Reviews advising money taken, scavenger hunt details inaccurate and sketchy (apparently company owed by two teenagers in the USA) probably why the details for a scavenger hunt in the UK a bit dodgy.
Within minutes of making the purchase and realising it was a scam, I immediately got in contact with Let's Roam advising them that I was unhappy, money taken, no receipt for my "extra" purchases and bad reviews which for me means AVOID. I let them know that I wanted my full refund of £85.14 as I wanted to put this bad experience behind me immediately and wanted no association with this company at all. Polite emails back about how my tickets could be passed on as gifts and I had 2 years in which to use them.
Five emails later of me insisting I wanted my full refund to be told they would send my request across to their billing department who would assess the validity of my claim for a refund before they make the decision about whether or not to refund me and this process would take 5-10 working days.
Two days later emails advising my case was now dealt with and being closed as resolved. I emailed again advising that this was not the case, I was still unhappy and £85.14 out of pocket.
Told just their standard automated procedure to call back in 10 days if nothing done.
What gets me is I'm still waiting for my full refund more than 15 days after purchase, reported to my banks fraud department but it seems these scammers are sneaky drawing out communication until you finally give up. These companies should not exist they are a slap in the face of hard- earning customers, treating your money like their own.
Please be WARNED: AVOID, AVOID,AVOID... save yourself the time and money. SHAME on you Let's Roam... you're bad business for the man in the street!!!

Avoid!
We did the "Peterborough: Cathedrals, Clocks and Cobblestones" Hunt at the beginning of December. Our experience revealed inaccurate information prior to booking (it said total distance 0.88 miles whereas you needed transport between several points on this hunt) and clues/questions were not up to date, as well as other questions asking such vague things as "take a photo of your favourite exhibit in the museum" and even though by then we were feeling let down we completed those two questions only to be docked points for an incorrect answer (their fault for not updating) and taking too long in the museum (no one said it was a speed test). Then upon completion when I complained to customer services and asked for a refund, I was led to believe one was forthcoming only, at the end of 4 weeks, to be denied it "as it is against company policy". A further discovery: this company is US-based. I would avoid!

Confusing & Hugely Underwhelming Experience
Signed up to do the scavenger hunt in Salisbury and was persuaded to pay the supplement for the "couples challenge". We have paid for several other scavenger hunts via different providers which have enabled us to see new cities and learn a little about them; this one did nothing of the sort as the instructions in the app were completely baffling and seemed aimed at teenagers since it appeared to consist mainly of taking selfies at every location. Given neither of us were craving banal social media content we quickly gave up to save wasting any more of a rare day together without children.
I raised a grievance with Let's Roam about the experience and following some to and fro a refund request was submitted. After six weeks of chasing for an update they said "...the request has been declined. Because each Let’s Roam scavenger hunt experience is unique for every customer, we’re unable to process refunds once the order has been completed."
So not only did I waste my money but then was kept wondering a few days shy of two months only to be told what must / should have been known at the outset which is once they take your money, regardless of how poor the experience is you are not getting a penny back.
The Customer Service staff were pleasant in correspondence and tried to offer more tickets as a goodwill gesture but I declined these as I've no intention of wasting more time with Let's Roam and would encourage others to proceed with caution.

SCAM
SCAM. DO NOT BUY. This is one of the most embarrassingly bad “experiences” I’ve ever paid for. The advertising promises an escape-room–style ghost-hunting adventure in Banff. That is completely false.
What you actually get is a lazy, low-effort app filled with nonsensical “trivia” that has NOTHING to do with Banff, its history, or the locations you’re standing in. One question literally asked what “entities roam these streets” and then had us unjumble the word GHOST. Another asked what people supposedly “smell” on a street—no clues, no signs, no information anywhere. Just random guessing.
There are no puzzles. No story. No immersion. Instead, you’re encouraged to take selfies for points, which has absolutely nothing to do with ghost hunting or escape rooms. The app is also extremely glitchy and barely works.
Customer service is just as bad. I was explicitly told I would receive a refund. After more than a month of repeated follow-ups, they suddenly refused to honor it.
This is misleading, dishonest, and feels like an outright scam designed to take tourists’ money with minimal effort. Save your money and avoid this app at all costs.
