My experience with Lendwise was very smooth and reassuring from start to finish. The application process was clear, well-structured, and much faster than I expected for an education loan.

Horrible service. They treat you like a criminal. And as if that weren’t enough, they keep calling at 2–4 a.m., even after I’ve repeatedly told them I live in a different time zone. They even complain when you make overpayments and offer no support whatsoever. I wish I had chosen Prodigy instead

After completing my doctorate I accepted a position in New York but the cost of a move to the US was extraordinary; I wasn't sure that my savings would cover it. A traditional bank (even those I'd banked with for a decade) wouldn't provide a loan based on future income, which was frustrating, but Lendwise understood the situation and offered me a loan. The loan included an origination fee, which I thought was fair and proportionate. They also ensured that my first repayment was after my first payday.

Although the repayments were scheduled over two years, I was frugal and repaid the loan within three months. Early repayments were simple and had no associated fees, allowing me to reduce the cost of interest. Communications with the Lendwise team were always friendly, understanding and professional. I got the impression that they want to help people progress, which is totally unique when it comes to lenders.

In summary, Lendwise helped me to achieve a dream step in my career when traditional banks wouldn't. Their fees are incredibly fair, and their customer service is excellent.
