I had a great experience using this website. The booking process was quick, simple, and very user-friendly. There is a wide variety of accommodation options to choose from, including some exclusive properties that I couldn’t find on other booking sites, which made it even more worthwhile.
The staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The quality of the places I’ve booked has also been consistently excellent, with accommodations matching expectations and offering great value.

We booked and paid 2 nights’ accommodation at Bonsai in Hankey. We visited the wedding venue and decided to go the Bonsai accommodation to see where it is as we planned to go there after the wedding in the night time. We struggled to find it, as there was no identifying name to indicate that you have arrived at the right place. It was an old house where two people live and the two rooms we booked were disgusting. It looked dirty and old linen was on the bed. The room was dark with no daylight coming in. In short, not close the photos of Bonsai on Lekkeslaap. We called Lekkeslaap 3 hours later to cancel the booking. They declined to refund me, as we did not take any photos of the horrible accommodation,as tol provide proof that it was not up to standard. Well, I will never book a place and pay before I have seen the place myself first. In short, my recommendation is to never book accommodation at Bosai in Hankey. It is disgusting to say the least.

Been using it for 4 years now.
LekkeSlaap charged me for a property that was not available. They promised multiple times by phone and email to reverse the transaction. They never did.
Every time I contact them, they have a new stalling tactic and demand more unnecessary information to delay the refund.
Dishonest business practices. They're holding onto money for a service never provided. Avoid LekkeSlaap.

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT of their "quotes". You think the full amount is actually R6600 as STATED ON THE QUOTE - but then in the fine print below, there's actually an additional R2000 for breakages and an additional R1000 management fee payable to the accommodation. So the lekkeslaap invoice states R6600 paid and cleared, then the invoice from the actual accommodation is really R9600. Will never book with this establishment ever again. We book frequently through Bookings.com - the full invoice amount IS your full amount. That is not the case with Lekkeslaap. Hidden costs to bite you after you have committed ad "accepted their terms and conditions". EDIT TO ADD: The establishment has promised to take my feedback into consideration and has offered to pay toward the additional fees.
I've used LekkeSlaap for multiple bookings across South Africa and Namibia, and they never disappoint. Their customer service is exceptional — they even helped me after hours on a Friday evening when I couldn’t get hold of the host. Highly recommend!
Good web-site for choice but difficult (impossible!) to pay by a UK customer.
Selected accommodation and tried to pay. My CC provider (VISA) uses 2FA which I passed and then got a message from them saying payment was declined by lekkeslaap, but I should contact them in case it did go through. Contacted lekkeslaap and they confirmed it did not go through. Fine thus far.
I have tried to pay again using Windows laptop, Android phone, Kindle Fire and an i-Pad, using two different ISPs and get the message "You will be redirected to a secure payment page." which doesn't happen even when left for more than an hour.
lekkeslaap then suggest that I make a payment using EFT but saying it is "only South African banks are supported"
Suggest that overseas customers need a person inside SA to pay their booking for them which somewhat negates the ability to book from the UK.
