We bought two fridges a few months ago…
We bought two fridges a few months ago thinking they were medical fridges and they were both faulty, always showing temp too high, it's not suitable to store medicines.
We are struggling to get them repaired or replaced. They are too difficult to approach. We have wasted money as had to buy proper fridges from another supplier.

Smart looking fridge.

I got the black model, which looks very smart, but had to wait several months for it to become in stock.
A slight problem is that ice collects on the edge of the ice box, causing the ice box door to stick and become difficult to open.

Lec TF55179W 50/50 Frost Free - it's cold!
Bought a Lec TF55179W 50/50 Frost Free Fridge Freezer as it had the biggest storage I could find of a certain height (needed to fit under shelving). It's not as big a capacity as the old Hotpoint I had (they no longer make that model), but it's pretty good. It's ummm - cold. Not too noisy. Not had it long enough to tell if the frost-free aspect is effective. The last freezer lasted almost 20 years...will update this in 2042 (fingers crossed).

Lovely fridge bought to fit a kitchen recess
Delivery was exactly as expected. The two men carried my new fridge/freezer up 17 stairs and placed it where I asked. They then removed my old unit. Delivery was on time and the tracking app was excellent as it showed where the delivery was. As for the LEC, we've had it two weeks now and it is perfect for what we needed. It was purchased to fit into a recess that we had and looks really nice there. It is very quiet and we are exceedingly happy with it at this time. Storage in fridge is great for two people as is the 4 trays in the freezer although I would have like them to be a bit bigger. They will however be ok for two people and altogether we are very happy with it so far.

replacement fridge ordered direct from…
replacement fridge ordered direct from LEC, was delivered and installed on time, and old fridge taken away.
So far no repeat of the problems with the old one (dripping from the ice box/poor seal on ice box)
update
unfortunately this one appears to have the same problem within a month, build up of ice forming a ledge around door seal, which then thaws and drips onto food/shelf below

Great Value for Money.
It is a really good inexpensive mini wine/drinks cooler. It has a very cool setting if desired. Would be great if it had a light inside but, at the price, it is great value for money.

Good service.
Helpful, informative staff in store. Delivery arrived as promised. Unfortunately it was damaged when unwrapped but delivery men extremely helpful and problem quickly resolved. I am very happy with appliance, it does just what I wanted. Would recommend appliance and I would shop at Hughes again.

Purchased a LEC mini fridge from a local retailer. Very happy with it, it’s a perfect size for a worktop and changing the side the door opens was straightforward. The fridge performs extremely well, we have the LEC mini freezer too which is also excellent and continues to perform well 3 years down the line.

Spot on for what I needed
I searched for a smallish fridge - freezer to fit under some wall units I had fitted and the LEC I bought fitted just fine. Great in the utility room for drinks in the fridge, and overflow in the freezer.

My fridge broke just inside the guarantee period, and an engineer came out to verify that. It was replaced very quickly and efficiently.

Don’t buy a LEC Fridge
I bought a LEC auto defrost fridge thinking it would be a reliable fridge to buy. It wasn’t the case!! After having 2 replacement fridges because all the fridges appeared to have too much condensation and ice forming inside them, I had to wipe the drainage channel every day to ensure that the tray at the back didn’t overflow, I asked for a refund. I have to say I got a full refund in the end so was able to buy another make of fridge, but I wouldn’t have another LEC fridge if it was given to me.
