Worst chess coach experience ever!
Horrible experience for children. Demoralizing and impatient.
I booked a trial for my 9-year-old son, and it was an absolute disaster. The instructor based his entire assessment on a 5-second glance at a game and told my son he lacked "good basics." When my son used a standard acronym he learned on Chess.com to explain how to get out of check (CPR: Capture, Protect, Run), the teacher smirked, mocked his phrasing, and repeatedly cut him off.
The instructor made frustrated faces and forced my son to restart his answers until he used the teacher's exact wording. It was incredibly rigid and condescending. My son ended up in tears and ran away from the screen feeling humiliated. This is a terrible environment for kids. Avoid this company and find a tutor who actually knows how to encourage and speak to children positively.
