Natural Gas Heater Issue
Purchased a Lava Heat Italia Ember natural gas heater for a lot of money. For the price the heater sells for, they should not be using cheap plastic knobs that could easily break to turn on their outdoor heater. I contacted Lavaheat recently and said I needed to purchase the plastic knob that turns the heater on. Since the heater was only seven years old, I assumed they would still sell replacement parts. I was told "There are generic knobs one can find at a hardware store . The other option is make a mold of the knob male and have someone make a mold for you. The knobs we have do not fit". Unfortunately, no hardware stores sell this odd shaped knob that has a two inch stem. Since Lava Heat uses cheap parts, and don't sell replacements, I would not purchase anything from them or recommend them to anyone.
