extremely dodgy doorstep representatives from The Latium Group

I made a complaint to The Latium Group today regarding the approach taken by their sales people who came to our door this morning in an unsolicited visit. The salesman's technique was of the lowgrade conman type of not identifying himself nor his agenda but instead asking a lot of invasive questions. "Are you the home owner?" wee the first words out of his mouth. "Do you rent this house?". "What do you do for a living?". Thankfully, my partner refused to answer any of these questions until the salesman told her what he wanted. Turns out he was trying to get her to buy double glazing.

This kind of con artist approach to selling is despicable. The Latium Group's representatives have absolutely no right to question people like this without first being upfront about who they are and what their purpose is for being on your doorstep and ringing the bell.

I'll amend this review dependent upon the response of the Latium Group to my complaint.

My advice to anyone visited by any cold caller asking for information about you or any of the residents in your house is to refuse to answer. Instead ask them who they are and what they want before deciding whether you want them to know anything about you. You have the right to refuse to divulge any information and tell them not to come back too your address.
