Great company
Travelled 2hrs to lakeview cars to look at a 2016 ford smax from minute i arrived they made me feel welcome left me to look around the car at my own pace took for test drive and was as described brought the car and took home couple of issues with it on way home but got intouch with them and they sorted it out no problem highly recommend this company if look for great garage to buy great used cars

Unbelievably bad customer service
I have never experienced such poor customer service - I was spoken to in a vile, derogatory manner by David, I am still in shock at some of the things he said and the tone they were said in.
My mother brought a car from there on Saturday, the car was unfortunately driven in to the back of another car on it's return from a service (we hadn't brought it at that point) - we still decided to go ahead and buy it once they had repaired it and Lakeview offered to deliver it for no extra cost.
On Tuesday mum calls to be told it's ready and possible delivery Weds.
On Weds mum calls to be told it's not ready and will hopefully be delivered on Thursday.
On Thursday mum calls to be told it's still in the paint shop.
So I call as this was proving quite stressful for mum, I wanted to make sure it was on track to be delivered that day and to ask them to call mum, as so far mum has had to do all of the calling.
Here's a selection of some of the things that were said to me:
- It's not that big a deal, don't know why you're calling
- We didn't say it was ready - my colleague didn't say that
- Your mum's confused (said more than once)
- Do you want the car or not? (said with the most amount of attitude)
- The customer isn't always right (I'm sorry - what?!!)
- It's just a paint scratch (I have pics of damage and saw it in person, bumper was cracked in various places)
- It might be ready today, then 2 mins later - I've already called the driver to collect it (changed story at least 3 times on the call)
- Now you're confused
And the list goes on, I wish I could convey the tone and derogatory feeling in the words above)
No one got in touch with mum to keep her updated, all calls were made by us to the garage.
The car has since been delivered without the additional extras that were promised.
I cannot believe anyone would speak to someone the way I was spoken to, let alone a company that were getting thousands of pounds of our money.

Lakeview Clowns – Avoid at All Costs
I bought a VW Touareg from this dealership on 27th September 2025. By 17th October, the car was already in terrible condition—the engine was knocking and there were numerous other issues.
A local, reputable garage confirmed the engine needed to be replaced. Initially, the dealership staff were defensive and unhelpful. Surprisingly, Damien, the owner, eventually got involved and seemed somewhat understanding.
They arranged for the vehicle to be collected and promised a full refund within 7 days. That refund never arrived. Instead, I received multiple emails from Damien, full of spelling and grammar mistakes, claiming “there’s nothing wrong with the vehicle” and offering only to make me pay for the recovery or collect the car myself.
Throughout this ordeal, Damien refused to speak to me by phone, communicating solely via email and leaving his staff to deal with the fallout.
Eventually, he threatened legal action. I was contacted by a company called “Lawgistics,” a firm with a 3-star reputation that isn’t even regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
For someone who can afford a 24-plate Lotus, I expected a proper law firm—not this. In the end, I raised a dispute with my bank, provided all requested documentation, and received a full refund.
Do not buy from this dealership. Save yourself the stress, confusion, and the headache of trying to decipher Damien’s spelling—and avoid buying a car that’s basically a bag of problems.

Could not recommend Lakeview enough - amazing service, especially being a single female and having very recently been ripped off elsewhere. David was brilliant, and I am now the proud owner of a lovely Vitara which was a great price and had been valeted ready for collection. No pushiness, just feels very honest and reassuring and I would definitely look to buy my cars from here again in the future.

I first bought a car from Lakeview Cars in 2023 and given the stress that car caused me over the last 2 years I didn’t think I’d be writing a review like the one I am writing now, but credit where credit is due, I can’t not, and I think that everyone looking to buy a car should know of the exceptional service you will receive here.
Walking away with my new car in 2023, I was so happy, I was in love with the car and the customer service I received was fantastic from the second I enquired over the phone to leaving with the car the next day. Unfortunately, my joy was short lived as shortly upon arriving home the engine management light came on in the car, by this point it was teatime so I took the car back in the next day, I was given a courtesy car whilst mine was taken round to the garage to investigate the issue, it was the EGR showing insufficient flow, they kept it for a few days and returned it to me after an EGR clean and all was well….for a few weeks. The light came back on, same issue, Lakeview gave me permission to use my local garage, they changed the EGR valve, Lakeview covered the cost, I thought ‘fantastic, this has to be it now’, I was wrong, the car went a few months and the issue returned, another part of the EGR was replaced, but, you’ve guessed it it came back. Over the course of the next year the car was fixed again, another part replaced, even by the manufacturer in the end, at one point the car was off the road for around 6 weeks where it was in and out of the garage, all costs covered by Lakeview I will add, only for the fault to return in June of this year, by this point I was both mentally and physically exhausted and simply did not have the energy to keep doing this, I was also out of warranty, but also in a tricky situation being locked into a finance term, and with a defective car, in a significant shortfall of my settlement if I were to sell.
I decided I needed to take some steps to try to get myself out of this situation, I contacted Lakeview to let them know what steps I had taken and reached out asking if they would be willing to loan me a car to reduce my inconvenience in the meantime. I wasn’t expecting anything, over 2 years had passed, and like I said earlier I didn’t think I’d ever be writing a review like this, despite trusting that Lakeview didn’t foresee the issues I was going to have, and they had paid for all repairs, it was hard not to feel a little resentful of the situation I had found myself in. The opposite to what I expected happened, Damien reached out immediately wanting to help me.
In the space of 48 hours, I had gone from not knowing how I was going to get out of this, worrying about the impact this was having on my life, to driving away in another car with no financial implications hanging over me from the original car. Damien went above and beyond, in every possible way, I am blown away by the kindness and generosity he showed me at a time of great distress.
This level of customer service seems to be a Lakeview theme, I was collected to go and get the car, and I was met with the same kindness I had received remotely from Damien, Rebecca took me out on a test drive and I was even driven to Sainsbury’s so I didn’t have to pull out onto the A1, I was converting back to a manual after driving an automatic for 2 years, and the final touch was the full tank of fuel I was given to drive off with. What an amazing team.
Buying a car as a female can feel very daunting, I can assure you, you won’t feel that here, I felt heard, understood and looked after.
I will be forever grateful to Damien and the team, I couldn’t thank them enough. The car is beautiful, it is immaculate, only done 22,000 miles, it’s a bit of a bumpy ride, but that’s not the car, that’s me adapting to changing gears again, I only stalled twice coming out of Sainsbury’s so I’d say I’ve nailed it!!
Simply outstanding service
Simply outstanding service! I could not be happier with the service I got from Lakeview. I was after a rapid turnaround as my old car was beyond repair. Lakeview bent over backwards to supply an outstanding vehicle (Hyundai i10). Plus as a returning customer they gave all kinds of deals such as an extension to the warranty and even took my old banger as part of a deposit.
I would absolutely recommend Lakeview to everyone, and would definitely return in the future.

Plate theft
My brothers plates were stolen off his car so we went back to where he bought the car. Spoke to the owner very attentive happy and happy to help us in our time of need done 2 plates for free without charge plus they fitted them with security screws and caps to hopefully stop this from reoccurring again. The absolute worst company ever
The absolute worst company ever, Brad responded to my review on Google saying he offered to pick my car up and fix it, he said he was always very polite and accommadating, he said i was rude to his staff he said he bent over backwards to help me!!
Let me tell you the truth....
When you call lakeview cars and ask for a refund in the first 14 days they refuse point blank, when I had a warranty claim straight away he didn't offer to come and get the car and fix it he said I was too far away, he then stopped taking calls refused communication mostly and when being promised a call back it happened days later if at all, the car has been off the road for 7 months out of the 11 I've owned it and it's now on the 4th warranty claim, none of which he helped with or offered any support, a day after getting it back for the 3rd time It broke again, by this point I had enough I called and gave him one last change to do the right thing and take the car back and refund me or I was taking legal action and he responded with thats not my problem and blocked me,
SO TO CLARIFY AT NO POINT DID BRAD OFFER ME A SOLUTION OR A REFUND OR HELP IN THE 11 MONTHS IVE HAD THE CAR
WHAT HE IS SAYING IS ABSOLUTE DOWNRIGHT LIES.
I lost thousands by not being able to work, he knew this and offered me no help at all, I asked for an extended warranty so at least I won't get any big bills he laughed and refused.
I am a single female self employed who needs a car and he has destroyed everything for me and offered nothing so don't be fooled by the nice guy act.
Any nice decent man with a mechanic and a garage would have taken the car fixed it and done the right thing, Brad did none of these things he blocked contact is what he did.
So I have a broken car, can't work I'm £6000 plus loss of earnings out of pocket and his solution being a nice man is blocked me!!! Well done lakeview cars i hope you are proud

Recently purchased a car from Lakeview ( first time customer). Process was easy & pleasant.
Several months later it was discovered on a routine inspection that there was a problem with the car ( not Lakeviews fault as they had used a local garage to remove a towbar before I picked up the car )
I phoned Lakeview and Rebecca was totally Fab - they took the car in ... rectified the fault- and gave me a loan car to cover the period I eas without a vehicle.
The acid test of any business is what they do when things go wrong ( as at times thing just do ) Rebecca & Lakeview get 100% on customer satisfaction from me. I'm looking to purchase another vehicle in Sunmer next year - I'll be going back to Lakeview for certain.
