Doug Barriger was wonderful to work with when purchasing my new car. I traded in my Highlander and my late husband's Rav 4 and bought a new Highlander hybrid. He encouraged me to take my time when looking at the new cars, and there was absolutely no pressure to buy. As I was trading in two cars, he took care of getting the 2nd car to the car dealer, as there was no one available to help me. Since the purchase, Doug has installed the crossbars that I had ordered for the car. I would definitely recommend talking to Doug Barriger if you are looking for a new car at Lakeland Toyota.

If I could leave a negative star I would. Purchase the 2015 GMC terrain in March and part of the purchase agreement was for me to receive WeatherTech floor mats and a free oil change. I was advised that the weather tech floor mats might be generic not that they would be all weather mats. When I receive the mats after the purchase and the papers were signed I could’ve gotten better mats at Walmart they were cheap thin and flimsy. Went today July 1 at 2:30 to get an oil change that was supposed to be free the rude service advisor Daniel informed me that I would have to provide the proof that I had a free oil change even though the salesman stated that it would be in the system when I asked multiple times in March. Daniel made no attempts or offered to check to see about the free oil change. I had the appointment at 2:30 and was informed that it would probably be 2 to 2 1/2 hours before it was done . What’s the point in having an appointment if it’s gonna take that long still. As you could see I would not recommend anyone buying from this dealership as my experience has been their not trustworthy

I’m leaving my review here because the car I purchased was originally on this lot. I actually purchased from their sister lot next door, Lakeland Dodge.

I have texts and other documentation of everything stated.

This business is very dishonest. The first issue is I was told they were going to check with two banks about financing. I already had financing, but Al thought he could do better. I have received no less than 8 letters about my credit being run by various banks. Then I was assured (see picture) the error about how many months I wanted to finance for would be corrected after I “secured the sale”. It was not and then he lied about it. I also have documentation attached of this. I paid someone to pick up the car on 4/4 and the sales manager told the transport company the car was picked up a month ago. I then had to arrange for another pick up the next day. This cost me time and money. Once the car was delivered it had no floor mats (never mentioned to me or included in the videos or pictures), bumper damage also never mentioned or shown in video/photo, the gas tank was empty and the gas light was on (see photo), no drive out tag, no second key (see pic)no paperwork and over 200 miles we’re put on the car since the day I signed to purchase. I find the extra mileage to be very unethical. I never received any information about which bank it was financed with; a payment due date or anything. They cashed my check for $13,000 without communicating any of this other information to me. Lastly; multiple people have been dishonest and straight out lied. Today I attempted to speak to the manager, Hercules. I sent all my documentation and never received a reply. The finance manager Al called and left a message to which I replied I do not to wish to have further communication with someone I do not trust. Initially this purchase started out fine, but as soon as I agreed to purchase it has been downhill. I am very disappointed at how this has played out. I truly wish I had read the reviews prior to the purchase. I had originally found the car at Atl S Toyota and then learned it was in FL. I want the second key,refinancing, fix credit report compensation for gas and transport.

They do not care about their customers. They also ignored the BBB complaint, which speaks volumes. See below:

I purchased an item of $238.21 and paid $25.95 for shipping. About 2 days after payment, they sent me a mail to pay $290.74 as additional shipping charges. They are crooked and unreliable. McGeorge Toyota is way better for you.
