I am using Lady-Comp for a few years…

I am using Lady-Comp for a few years now (4ish). I think the algorithm is very effective, and I appreciate avoiding taking hormone pills. Furthermore, the screen, after only a few months started to fail, not showing anymore the complete details needed, such as the hour and M symbol. I sent them an email and they blamed the climate for deforming the device (yes, I leave in a tropical area), so is it only a ''cold weather'' device? I am using it anyway, but, after a few other months, I noticed that the device is a bit opened on the back juncture. I am using it with Scotch tapes now! Also, I could use the Bluetooth only once, I am not able anymore to connect it to any of my devices (yes, I followed all the problem solving on your guides). To resume it briefly: the product material used is very poor quality for my experience (I NEVER dropped the device), the interface and App are very obsolete, and the Bluetooth connection always gave problems. I would buy another brand if I could come back. I tried to contact them a few times, they cannot track my product number or anything, and they haven't been helpful at all. 400 euros for this quality is not worth it.

Firstly it’s expensive and it doesn’t…

Firstly it’s expensive and it doesn’t make you avoid sending money on condoms whenever it shows you the red or yellow dot.

Secondly time zones when you travel.
This is definitely not for travelers because you have to skip the day of your measurements and then you need to use condoms anyway that you need to pay for.
Well you can start the measurements on the next day so it’s very inflexible anyway.

Thirdly, it’s been showing me 5 yellow dots in a row after I skipped 2 days of measurements. So I paid £400 to see yellow dots plus red dots and to pay for condoms and use condoms because with ladycomp I am not allowed to use any hormonal contraception.

At first I was super happy with that but now I rather feel like a prisoner using condoms. That I highly wanted to avoid using and I wasn’t a fan of hormonal contraception.

Hi Milena,

Thank you for your e-mail and good to hear from you.

I'm happy to assist you and give you a short explanation in relation to your concerns.

In relation to the price, Lady-Comp is a medical device and we spend millions of Euro on developing the algorithm, the internal database of 700.000 other cycles, clinical trials and manufacturing -thus the price, which in long term (with minimum life expectancy is 3 GBP per month).

In relation to the time zone, you can always change the measurement time instantly like in case of shift work, and when you omit the temperature please keep in mind that Lady-Comp has to be careful and thus yellow lights - it is all made for your safety. We could make Lady-Comp more 'liberal' giving more green lights but we wanted Lady-Comp to more safe for all women than giving more green but less safe.

There is always a reason for showing too many red or yellow lights.

Lady-Comp is a very cautious and conservative device. Lady-Comp will only begin to slowly but surely give you green days leading up to ovulation when she knows more about your body, when you typically ovulate, what your pre-ovulatory and post-ovulatory baselines are, what your ovulation range is, etc.

Lady-Comp will turn yellow/red at least 5-6 days before your earliest recorded ovulation in the past 22 cycles, and she will only increase these initial green days when she gets more confidence and knowledge about your unique cycle rhythm - and if it is not, there is an element in your cycle, which is responsible for that:

1) You missed temperature reading. If you miss a daily temperature reading, especially close to your ovulation time, Lady-Comp will have difficulty confirming your fertile days. If you are unsure if you have taken your temperature daily, Lady-Comp has a feature which will allow you to check this.

2) You did not ovulate. As a healthy woman, you can experience the occasional month in which you do not ovulate. If Lady-Comp is unable to isolate your fertile days, it will issue you red and yellow lights as a precaution.

3) Your ovulation is delayed. Many factors, including stress, travel, or change in exercise routine, can cause a delay in ovulation. Lady-Comp will continue to give you red and/or yellow lights until ovulation has been confirmed.

4) You have atypical temperature patterns. Most women experience an increase in their basal body temperature when they are ovulating. However, not all do. If this is the case with you, be assured you can still use Lady-comp effectively. You will just want to be sure that you secure your basal body temperature during the same hour each day, and do not miss any of your daily readings.

5) hormonal imbalance (for example after taking hormonal contraception) - we can identify that of you send us the file with your cycle statistics

or a mix of them

Lady-Comp will never give you a green light if it is not sure...and Lady prefers rather be frustrating than unreliable...

Please also bear in mind that Lady-Comp has to respect the fundamental rule that a woman can get pregnant: five days before ovulation and on the day she ovulates.

Additionally, that depends on the cycle length, personal health, sleeping pattern and hormonal balance. As I mentioned above Lady-Comp was designed to be very careful in giving green days, especially if not 100% sure...

I'm sure we can definitely help you and identify the reason for that, so you can get the right green / red balance - will you be able to send us your cycle print out - it is very easy to do, just connect your Lady-Comp to your PC via USB (white) cable we provided in the box and send us .txt file so we might take a look and give you the proper analysis.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Very pleased with the Lady Comp!

The Lady Comp was the best purchase I have made. I used to suffer from migraines as a result of taking hormonal contraception and missing work often was starting to be a problem. I was put on so many different brands to find one that wouldn't affect me so much and there were always different side effects. After some research, I decided to take myself off the pill and give the Lady Comp a go. Not only have I not had a single migraine (3 years now using the Lady Comp), I feel much more in tune with my body and I would definitely recommend this product for a more natural form of contraception.

Amazing device which can be used for natural contraception or to plan a pregnancy

Amazing device which lets you know when you’re fertile or not, so you can either avoid or plan a pregnancy. It takes a little while to get used to taking your temperature the minute you wake up, and it takes a little time for the machine to learn your cycle. However during that time the machine will give a yellow light to err on the side of caution.
After a couple of months I found the machine to be very easy to use.

I used Lady Comp Baby to prevent pregnancy for one year, and then used it to fall pregnant in 2018 as I knew exactly when to try. Lady Comp also uses statistics to try to predict your baby’s gender, although this isn’t guaranteed I’ll be interested to find whether the prediction is correct!

I’m so happy with my device

I’m so happy with my device. It’s so empowering that I can have sex without hormonal contraceptives. As I get acne, anxiety, depression and have a family history of DVT I cannot take the pill. I am telling all my friends about this. It does take a long time to get green lights

Amazing product!

I have used this for over 3 years now and I am so happy with it. Never once have I had a pregnancy scare. Would highly recommend to everyone, wish I would've known about it years ago when I went on the pill. Great product and great company with great customer service! A++
