Absolutely would not recommend Leigh Anderton at LA Projects!! Upon first meeting Leigh he was friendly, knowledgeable and had some great ideas for transforming our family room into a luxury media room. He said this type of design was what he was the best at and that he could start a few weeks later and the job would be complete in 2-3 weeks max.
The initial rip out and prep for the room was off to a good start, unfortunately after this everything went down hill! Over 10 weeks of stress because of Leigh’s poor project management and false promises. The room had to be re-plastered and re-painted twice, flooring damaged, new door damaged. Panelling left damaged and unfinished. The amount of excuses Leigh came out with as to why people didn’t turn up, materials being late, only spending a couple of hours in a morning then having to leave for dentist appointments!! Myself and my husband was more than patient with Leigh in the beginning but it got to the point where I was anxious being in my own house because so many things were going wrong/not being finished! Leigh said he would take accountability and promised that if the work wasn’t finished by Friday 1st August (he started Monday 2nd June!!) then we would not need to pay the final balance. Friday 1st arrived and it just shows what a joke Leigh is, can’t even make his own deadline to ensure he gets paid!! We gave him until the Wednesday 6th August at lunchtime to finish or he was out. Again no where near finished to the standard that Leigh promised so he was asked to leave. He then had the cheek to message my husband and admitted things hadn’t gone to plan and if we wanted to pay the final amount or just part of it that was up to us! We didn’t pay another penny!!!!
My husband has finished the room himself but we have since had problems with the lighting. We got in touch with a local electrician who was shocked to discover Leigh had left 240v outside of the box! We have young children. It’s horrifying to think what could have happened if one of them had touched the box!!
Leigh is full of excuses, loves the sound of his own voice and likes to blame everyone else for his own poor project management and incapability to deliver. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with him and work alongside him. Leigh put us through 10 weeks of stress and I will never recommend him to anyone!!

Do not use Leigh from LA Projects.

We met Leigh in September 2023, and paid him for stock July 2024 and November 2024.

After numerous cancelled visits due to various excuses and a few visits where he didn’t actually much apart from sulk around on his phone we got suspicious and contacted Control4 only to be informed that he was no longer an authorised dealer since June 2025, they advised not to let him into the property.
Previous to this and numerous times since this we have repeatedly asked Leigh to provide all the stock that we have paid for needless to say he has not done this. Excuses such as they are at the family home that he shares with his wife and kids but she won’t grant him access as they are separated.

Leigh also had control over our CCTV system and would not hand it over despite numerous requests.

We have now paid Leigh tens of thousands of pounds and are left with nothing. We are currently having to turn our lights on at the fuse-board because Leigh didn’t have access to Contol4 to power this up.

We have had a third party that installs Control4 that has been and checked Leigh’s system and ontop of all this it turns out Leigh had installed cheaper products than that he has quoted and also installed products at our house thats warranty ran 2020-2022, suspected to have been second hand. The majority of stuff is not in our possession and suspected was never even ordered. (Order confirmations have been requested and not supplied)

I have spoken to other people in the area that have used Leigh’s services and also had a bad experience. Leigh claiming he was ill when in-fact he was allegedly in Turkey getting a cosmetic procedure.

On top of this we have had a NICEIC electrical installer check all the lighting that Leigh and his team have installed and it has all had to be redone as it wasn’t compliant.

He has also butchered our ceiling's and walls to the point we have taken everything down he’s down and we are having to have them redone. We also came home one day to find he had left a very expensive light balanced on-top of a ladder which he didn’t come back and do anything with for two weeks. That light is now covered in scratches.
