Kid was not given proper attention, we took English and maths but the child was not given one to one attention, sometimes its other old kids or some other students, who comes to train young kids, maximum time our child spend there was 15 mts to 20 mts for both english and maths for 150 pounds per month for 4 classes of 15 mts. So expensive, they should really stop exploiting people in the name of education.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the Kumon Maths programme and, in particular, the wonderful teachers who make such a positive difference to their students’ learning journeys.

The level of dedication, patience, and encouragement shown by the staff is truly commendable. My daughter has grown not only in her mathematical ability but also in her confidence and independence when approaching new challenges.

A special mention must go to Taolo Tsimako, who has been an extraordinarily helpful and kind teacher. Taolo consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that my daughter feels supported and understood. Their calm approach, clear explanations, positivity and genuine care have made a lasting impact. It’s rare to find a teacher who combines professionalism with such warmth and attentiveness.

Good course for maths and English, I can see an improvement from my kid math but kids need more attention from the teacher.

Earlier I heard the power of repetition, and I found Kumon to demonstrate this in my son's Maths and English. It's not just repetition, but meaningful and different types of continuous practice that helped my son gain confidence and progress. The staff is empathetic and has good behavior. Finally, just wanted to say, thank you so much, Kanika. You have a big role in my son's improvement in both subjects!

My son has been attending Kumon Barking Riverside for months now, and he loves it. Ms. Gladys and Mr. Taolo are both incredibly kind and patient, especially in supporting him with his special needs. Since starting, we’ve seen a great improvement in his English and Math, as well as his overall focus. He always looks forward to his Kumon sessions, which speaks volumes about the positive environment they’ve created.

kumon had been a god send for my child he started reception in september is only four and with the help of kumon is now able to read and write all thanks to diane skipton centre she really is amazing at what she does. he his very nearly working at one whole year above his school age amazing and has only been doing kumon for 10 months.

Michelle is an excellent tutor.

Would highly recommend this at a very foundational stage for any who would like a solid foundation, focus and confidence building skills in Maths and English. My child had some gaps in their learning and the format and structure helped her with independent study and learning and also to help consolidate concepts already learned and gaining confidence with areas of difficulty especially with Maths. Her tutor Luan, was particularly patient, nurturing and reassuring and really instrumental to drawing out her confidence.
It was quite heart-warming to see my child gain confidence quite speedily, but at a steady pace. In my daughter's own words "It is helpful and highly recommended". Wish I had found them sooner, but better late than never. Would recommend even to anyone at any age who is thinking of brushing up on their basic Maths and English. Staff are amazing my daughter felt really supported by the team but more importantly gained the needed skills and confidence. I highly recommend!

My children (both aged 5) have been attending Kumon classes after school, and overall our experience has been positive.

The programme has helped them develop good learning habits, especially in terms of discipline, focus, and regular practice. I have noticed improvement in their confidence when approaching tasks, and the structured worksheets are helpful for reinforcing skills.

However, I feel there are a few areas where improvement would be beneficial. Firstly, more personalised attention for younger children would make a big difference, as they sometimes need extra guidance to fully understand the tasks. Secondly, clearer communication with parents about progress and areas needing support at home would be very helpful.

Additionally, making the sessions a bit more engaging for young learners could improve their interest and enjoyment, as children at this age respond well to interactive and fun activities.

Overall, Kumon is doing a good job in building foundational skills, but with a bit more focus on individual support and communication, the experience could be even better for young children.
