After switching to another provider

After switching to another provider, it is impossible to get a refund from Koodo for money owed. Koodo Assist and their automated phone system are useless. They make it virtually impossible to talk to anyone.

Hidden Charges/Fees

After paying off the tab and moving to a different provider, they hit you with additional 'tab' fees even though the account shows as fully paid off on their site... After being transferred several times to several different agents, was told I'd be called back, and of course never received a call... Never dealing with them again.

If I can give zero

If I can give zero, it will give them that since they deserve it..I bought a new iPhone 17 pro max and I cannot transfer my old phone # to eSIM. It keeps on stating that “ Visit or contact your local Koodo store to get instructions on how to set up your phone number on this iPhone.
If you've already talked to your carrier and have a QR code, you can scan it to get started.” I tried it again but they wanted me to visit the carrier so they can give me a QR code..Then they help me but you will get charge of $10 because they said they assist you..if you will call customer service, they will charge you as well if you speak with the representative. The only thing I don’t appreciate is, I wanted to do a self serve so I won’t get charge but unable to proceed it..A $10 for QR code is insane. If I can back out for me 2 yr contract, I am happy to be out of Koodo for my peace of mind as they give me stress whole night

Maybe have a human someone could talk to to review the issues they have! Thank you Koodo for taking your bill a week early, therefore causing my bank to charge me a 45 nsf fee!!! awesome job!! A++, would rather use smoke signals, then your clearly not at all amazing service... I have had nothing but issues since I switched to you... good job! really unreliable internet and mobile networks! highly reccomend anyome else! literally anyone else! like maybe the kid down the street selling paper cups taped to a string, probaly better signal and customer service! he also probably doesnt just randomly take money out of your bank account... I cant wait for the apocalypse!!! I couldnt be happier with AI replacing real human interaction! such an amazing world now! So excited for the future, cant wait for AI to take over... I hope I'm one of the firat to go! Great job Koodo! Worst company ever! thanks for your support, really glad I wasted my time and money with you, I will never forget how horrible it was...

Worst experience ever with a phone company.

I wanted to cancel my phone plan in December, but they canceled it right away. I couldn't reach anyone ancymore, it's almost impossible to get a representative on the phone. Even before, there were problems. Worst experience ever with a phone company.

If only I could give them ZERO stars

If only I could give them ZERO stars!
I spent a month and a half trying to sort out my new account. All the while they were charging me while I was using my old provider. The last 2 wks of that painful journey was spent with my SIM activating to my son's phone! He was getting my calls and texts! I could reply to the person from my own phone based on what my son told me they messaged about !!!

When I was trying to clear up the issues I spent HOURS on the phone with them. At one point over 3 hours! Koodo (who is also hard to get in touch with) said they'd reimburse me for the additional SIM purchases I had to make and for the lost 6wks of service while they were charging me. I was on the phone (for another 1.5hrs) last week about NOT getting this refund. They finally said they got it sorted and sent via transfer to my bank account where I was paying my bills from. The amount was HALF what it was supposed to be but I was so frustrated I just accepted it. Now, it's been 10 days and there's still no transfer. Ugggh!!

I got Koodo but then went out of the country and paid to keep the phone but never used it. I got a VOI phone (Fonus) to travel. I tried to cancel and didn't figure out I could only do it over the phone. I cancelled my credit card but Koodo kept billing me. I finally cancelled over your cumbersome phone contact but now had $89 of debit. I tried to pay. I had to change my password and did but it didn't work. I was in China and didn't want to use interact. I finally gave up.
Koodo can go screw itself. Send a collection agency. IO don't care

Persistent problem with calls in US even with the US plan cannot make or receive calls. Technical support not helping and cannot fix. Customer support doesn't do anything not in store neither online. Leaving Koodo and would advise not to waste your time and money with Koodo mobile.

Former 17 yr Customer.

I was a customer since I was 15, 17 years later they finally pissed me off in a 2 week span that I left for Rogers.

My phone broke, I had a replacement policy on my account. I tried to redeem it and got told that due to the nature of flip phones, they don't cover replacements for them if it is a screen issue. They call it user error, even tho the policy clearly stated that it covers accidental drops resulting in damages. And no, it wasn't to replace the screen, it was to pay the desposit to get a new phone that they refused to do for me.
After that my coverage kept getting worse even tho I havn't changed anything on my account. So finally decided to switch to Rogers. I paid off my Tab that was remaining, make sure my account was at zero and left it at that thinking nothing of it when I went to the rogers store the next day.
2 weeks later I get a bill for 600 dollars in unpaid tab fees and find out they rejected my payment to pay off my tab so they can charge me a cancelation fee, reverse my discount (charging me $400), and telling me I still have 160 on my tab to pay off. I checked my bank and the money was taken out of my account and put back into my account three days after I had signed up with Rogers.

Koodo use to be good, but are now just Fn vile.

Inconsistent billing options

Purchased a new phone in Jan 2025 . Koodo had a good rate and offered a further reduction if I signed up for autopay, which I did from a credit card. I was recently informed through email that Koodo no longer accepts payment through credit card or debit autopay, and that if I don't wish to pay a substantial increase than I would need to provide my banking information to allow the funds to be collected from my account. I contacted my branch who suggested I get a new provider as giving out personal banking information is not recommended. Obviously. So now I am saddled with the higher fee. Koodo has lost their credibility and my future business.

NEVER TRUST KOODO!

I have been a customer for 11 years with this company. When they were public mobile. Lots of ups and downs. The first 5 years were good. But lately omg people have an accent and gets rude if you ask them to explain what they are saying or slow down. I have been checking my bill as far as I could go back and I’ve been overcharged several times. I continue to pay my bill but every month an over charge is showing. I am paying and still getting over charged. They also offer adding lines to an account but they are clueless on how to handle things. I called recently and the man left me on hold to talk to his supervisor. Then a woman came on and kept repeating the same things over and over. I had quite a few credits issues to my account. They gave me half and then said I still owe the same amount. I’m confused. She told me do the math. Really???? That’s all I’ve been doing. I finally filed a complaint with CCTS since they aren’t working with me. I’m now waiting to find out what’s the next step. In the meantime I’m still paying what I owe monthly.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER LOYALTY. IF YOU’VE BEEN SCREWED BY KOODO AND TRIED TO WORK WITH THEM, CONTACT CCTS.
