I read reviews and totally disagree. My experience was always great and i enjoy the fact they offer decent prices while they have organic certification in place. Well done kombuchaorganic!

I bought organic kefir grains and kombucha scoby. Arrived on time and quality was excellent. Excellent customer service so I can honestly recommend it!

The worst service I have ever had with any company. Selling dead cultures from their own kitchen. Know exactly what they are doing … this is the response O received . Estera Gebura - Hi, you ordered 10g of grains and this is how much we provided so no refund will be made and we will refuse charge back as tracking proves delivery, feel free to order from somebody else. Be very aware this lot are scammers and disgusting people. I will be ensuring I get them shut down.

Absolutely pathetic amount of grains complete disgrace will be invoking a chargeback as company is just dire

Damn why didn't i read the reviews on here first?

Took 8 days to arrive. Grains were so small and, unsurprisingly after 8 days in transit, dead.

So fed up I can't even be bothered to contact and request a refund.

Same experience as everyone else. Wish I seen this first. Grains sat in transit for a week - won’t work. No reply to email.

I've seen a couple of reviews here stating this is run from a residential address and has been reported to trading standards etc. No idea where people get this info from but I purchased from ebay which gives the sellers name and so forth. It's been a registered business with Carlisle City Council since 2012 and has passed all the certificates etc that it needs to run as a business hygiene /safety etc. I think a lot of the time people buy something like this and don't know how to do it or follow the instructions properly. I bought milk kefir and left it out too long so learned from my mistake and make it fine now.

Extremely hostile and rude

I purchased kefir grains from kombucha organic uk and when nothing happened after 4/ 5 days with the fermentation process, I contacted them. I received a curt email response and then no further acknowledgements and when I requested a refund as I was so disappointed, they totally ignored my emails. I received a similar kefir grain product from a friend recently and it has set and ready to enjoy within 48 hours being kept in the same conditions as instructed by kombucha. Not a very honest seller👎👎

Hi there , I recently bought some sourdough-starter from Kombuchaorganic . I live in France so the delivery took about 10 days . After an initial slow development I learnt , while testing out the starter , a very useful lesson , a point which is mentioned by them but could easily be overlooked : do not use tap-water as the chlorine kills the starter . Once I realized this (by switching over to rain-water ) , it worked very well and continues to do so. The other important point is to have a temperature of 25 to 30 °C . At the summum of it's growth , the starter is not very acid and indeed tastes quite sweet so the bread is delicious . Thank you .

I have bought water kefir grains from this company in the past without a problem but my last batch were sub standard.
Emailed as there is no contact phone number and got rude abrupt messages.
No offer to replace the substandard goods or any type of decent customer service.
It's worth paying a couple of pounds extra to receive decent grains.
Since my purchase I discovered kombuchaorganic have been reported to trading standards by other suppliers, they work from a residential address and do not adhere to food hygiene standards

I ordered 2 packs of their Kombucha Starter Kits for 5 litre. Goods arrived in time, but the SCOBYs were quite small, one most likely adequate, but the other very small. There was a big difference in weight between the 2 packs, and their should have been 500ml of starter tea with each pack. The total amount of starter liquid was 150ml. I have tried to contact them several times, and although I got a response, they just stated that the goods were delivered. I asked to return the packs - no response.
When you look at the business address, it actually is a residential address.
I can only recommend to stay away from this company, there are more reliable suppliers on line

Bought a Sourdough starter through their online shop. Was sent a tracking no. in PayPal only which I saw by chance as I don't normally pay that way. Delivered by 4th Jan. in ipost box. no email or code sent to me by email or text to confirm delivery or where to pick it up from. I have tried to contact them by their email 3 times (no number on website) WITH NO REPLY BACK! Very disappointed indeed... I go to Cumbria often so they'll be getting a surprise visit for sure, that's if they even exist there!!!!!!!!!?

Bought Sourdough starter and never received it despite that showed that it was delivered on the tracking. Email them to make the aware and see if they could share some light into the issue and they respond was , "Sent with this tracking number " email them again 3 times and never got a response. It's been reported to trading standards. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Poor, poor, poor customer service!
Grains did not work...despite a retry under their instructions.
In terms of communication and customer service unfortunately this company scores nil points! FOR EVERY REPLY I received I had to send about 3 emails. They offered to send out a new supply of grains which I did not receive. The reply back was offensive and abrupt. I have been left £9 out of pocket and very frustrated! I hope nobody else has a problem - settle in for a long- haul email cat and mouse chase!

Found this company on Amazon as I was looking for sourdough starters, but as I know how much Amazon charges companies to trade, I searched for the company's website and bought the sourdough starter directly. Hopefully it's less costly for them and it's actually cheaper there than on Amazon so it would be win-win. Arrived in a flat sealed plastic bag, sat in my mailbox a day before I remembered to check my letters. Immediately took it out and followed the instructions provided, and boy did it come to life within 12 hours in a warm place. Yet to start baking with it, but well impressed with the vigour. Would definitely recommend.
