So far I’ve never had any issues with this. Easy to buy and use. What I like is the ability to use the leftover data as credits and it actually works. I hope they keep that feature. I also like that we can buy smaller amounts of data for those that don’t need too much unlike others that make you buy more than you need! I’ve only had to contact customer service once and it was resolved very quickly by real people!
I’ve used this many times so it is the overall review and not for one particular use.

Easy to install!
Easy to install and turn on in host countries. Had messy eSIM experiences in the past with other companies. I’ve used kolet for 4 trips now and the top-up feature is fantastic to manage data.

getting it going was a nightmare...wish I had a list
stepwise of how to set it up. instead it was do this...then write you and say still dont have it, then got more insructions that were not clear....
coming home all I did was change sim cards on sim manager....

Think very carefully before purchasing a Kolet eSIM
I almost never leave negative reviews, but my experience with Kolet was bad enough that I feel other travelers should be warned.
I purchased a Kolet eSIM for a trip to Colombia after it was offered in connection with my KLM flight. I was never able to install it successfully on my iPhone 17 Pro Max.
I then tried transferring it to an older iPhone 13 that I no longer use. What happened next was unbelievable: the data allowance appeared to disappear within seconds. The offer was advertised as including 2 GB, yet after simply transferring and activating the eSIM on the second phone, I immediately received a notification saying I had only around 200 MB remaining. Seconds later, another notification informed me that the entire data allowance had been consumed. I had not used the phone for browsing, streaming, downloading files, or any other meaningful data activity. The data simply vanished almost instantly.
So, in my case:
the eSIM could not be installed on my main phone;
the advertised 2 GB did not appear to be available as expected; almost the entire allowance disappeared within seconds on the backup phone; I received essentially no usable service for what I paid. I normally do not write reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. From a customer perspective, it felt completely misleading and left me feeling that I had paid for a service I never actually received. I would strongly recommend that travelers think very carefully before purchasing a Kolet eSIM and closely document their data balance from the moment it is activated.

Mobile data usage can sometimes increase quickly depending on the apps and activities running on your device. Even with normal usage, things like video streaming, social media feeds, app updates, and background syncing can consume a significant amount of data in a short period of time.
Please rest assured that the usage shown reflects the data activity recorded from your device. To help avoid unexpected consumption in the future, we recommend checking your device’s Mobile Data Usage settings to see which apps are using the most data and restricting background data where needed.
You can also try these tips:
Turn off automatic app updates over mobile data.
Limit background app refresh/sync.
Disable automatic photo and video backups while using mobile data.
