During Black Friday, I've had 2 campaigns already where a shared IP ban caused 22.5 and 60% of my emails to bounce. After research, this turned out to be a problem on Klaviyo its end, who have a l... See more

I didn't want to upgrade the plan but Klaviyo did it themselves and took my money. what a scam.

Lucas Reymond was fantastic
Why so many 1 Stars?
Sheesh! There are lots of bad reviews here!
I signed up a month ago and found Klaviyo far superior to the other four platforms I used in the past. Lucas Reymond was fantastic at helping me get my account warmed up. The live chat has been a lifesaver; I've been using it for over an hour every day for the last three weeks. Every other app I use on Shopify works with Klaviyo, so I no longer have to use annoying Zapier.

Overpriced money stealers
I upgraded my plan at the end of the month (there were three days left), and they charged me the full monthly amount for these three days.
What a scam. When I contacted them, they just gave me automated answers. Ripoff.
Developer Here - missing common use features
Developer Here - Lacks basic features. You would imagine the majority of apps that need email marketing would require e.g. a list for users on a free trial.
These users would get emails relevant to that free trial. You would think, a big company like Klaviyo would be aware about the common use case of simply moving users from one list to another e.g. the real life case of users finishing their free trials and hence should not receive emails about that topic anymore.
But does klaviyo offer this? Nope! Instead you can make a webhook to get it done but the API is useless - the remove profile from list does NOT work with the profile email, you have to send the Unique ID of the profile to be removed. But guess what - you cannot do this from the webhook! Making a simple task impossible.
When escalated as priority to support, we have a 'Andre' guy who keeps repeating the same thing the user has told him, being completely useless.
Klaviyo doesn't have real support
Klaviyo doesn't have real support, just chat and links. So, Klaviyo is for people who can do all the configuration themselves.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service. My Klavyio account is bugged out it Is sending an old email flow which I cannot see in my account but it does still send it. I initialed a new flow and it doesn't send it. I re-intergrated my shopify store to my klavyio account just to be sure it is connected rightfully but still it is sending the old email flows which I cannot see in my Klavyio account. The support team won't help me and I dont want to upgrade to a paid plan if this bug isn't fixed.
Really poor and duplicitous sales and…
Really poor and duplicitous sales and marketing scams. I participated in their Partner Program after introducing some of my agency's clients to them. After they had taken my clients money, and after I had accrued a few hundred dollars from their referral program, they made an error while processing a payment. After this they never contacted me to update the details. After it was almost half a year later, they contacted me and tried tell me that they had "the right to forfeit payments that are 90+days past due, and unfortunately that is what happened here". This is a deceitful and unethical way to treat a supposed "partner" after profiting from the benefit of my recommendation. In addition this was when I had two more clients I had been talking to Klaviyo about transitioning over from other platforms, which I had wasted time on sales calls and emails etc with Klaviyo about, and - worst of all - had made plans with the clients to go ahead with. This now means potential embarassment and loss of reputation with my clients, which is unforgiveable. I attempted to find a resolution to this repeatedly with Klaviyo, but they just sent me effusive and sickly sweet emails while refusing to come to any kind of equitable outcome. Avoid this company, if you can't trust them to keep up their end of a deal with a supposed "partner", how will they treat your own clients and customers whose private data they have access to?
$5431.5 USD lost with Klaviyo
Spent $5431.5 USD on Klaviyo subscription while transitioning our flows from our internal email system to Klaviyo finding out their integration with WooCommerce sucks big times.
Not eligble for a refund as their policy. Bye $5431.5 USD + 2 months of time.
Woocommerce users, use amazon SES & Funnelkit. Its 10x times cheaper and much better integration.
Thank me later. ✌️

Customer Service Issues
One of our admin accidentally set up a second account with the bills going to the wrong email address. We paid an additional $1,350 for an account we never used once and they won't refund us. Dealing with customer service has been painful.
Update: After a couple of weeks of back and forth, Klaviyo has issued its a credit. Thank you

SPAM
Despite numerous attempts to unsubscribe from the newsletter of one of your customers, and after submitting multiple support tickets to report this issue, escalating the matter to the Compliance Team as well as the Customer Advocacy team, I continue to receive emails from one of your customers. This persists even after one email exchange, in which I was assured that my data would be removed from your databases. At no point have I re-subscribed to this mailing list.
I am now compelled to question how this matter is being handled in compliance with the GDPR.

As layperson
As layperson, I find their software very easy and intuitive to use. It has taken a bit of time to set up and learn about campaigns and flows but I really like that I can really see everything going on with my website. I can implement changes based on what I can see my customer interactions are.

We have a growing and expanding account…
We have a growing and expanding account with Klaviyo, keen to expand our use and but are now currently on Week 8 of waiting for sales to get back to us, support is not empowered to help, fundamentally just note-takers. Had thought with the IPO things would get better but it hasn't, avoid if you are looking for a technology partner you can grow and interact with.

Awful customer service
Awful customer service, our business holds multiple accounts across multiple brands with Klaviyo. Trying to get a reply to a simple invoice query is impossible. We have resorted to leaving poor reviews to get someone's attention to resolve the issue.

The worst company ever for business
The worst company ever for business. We have 30k active subs, and got charged 160k profiles. We were told that if we sent to all subs ever (around 80k at the time), we would be able to send multiple email campaigns to this group without it compounding. So we sent one, then the rest to our 30k active subs. And yet we were charged with a bill that meant a complete loss for our business.
We're better off not emailing, can you imagine that?
Support lies, and they are the worst.

One of the best Customer Support Experiences!
The Customer Support Team did an excellent job at addressing our queries and providing assistance throughout the entire process. This was one of the best customer support experiences we have had so far.

I am not a fan of Klayvio and am…
I am not a fan of Klayvio and am currently looking for a simpler app to send emails. I have been with them for a few years, just because the headache of rebuilding flows and setting up a new program is never simple. I am a very small business and they are not a good fit for me. When they required you 'go to school' to learn how to use their emails show they have 'intentionally' made their app complex so it is difficult for the average, busy person to master it. I would need to hire a full time person just to keep up with all the changes, and learning the app is almost impossible due to time constraints. This reminds me of Adobe Photoshop and how complex they made their program back in the early 2000's - with intention, here we are in 2024 and Canva a simpler powerful program is stealing their thunder. I believe things can be kept simple with a low learning curve, if you chose to do-so. Klaviyo has made the choice to follow in the footsteps of adobe and I believe over the next few years it will not bode well for them.

Beware of this unprofessional company
Beware of this unprofessional company, auto subscription that increases and when I ask for a refund immediately after i get charged, they don't agree to process the refund even though i have cancelled my plan. They offer a credit for next time i pay for a subscription thenthey removeit when i insist on getting a refund. Very childish behavior from Joanna in their customer support and I will follow through with a chargeback and don't think i'm not going to seek legal action on a 150$ it's chump change but i'm willing to pay for legal fees. Anyway for startups avoid at all costs
