I honestly don't think they were a scam considering when I ordered from them I did get exactly what I ordered this was years ago when I guess they were probably still kinda new I paid like $48 I think for my collar they were a tiny business from what I knew it was just two girls sisters I had found them from Tumblr being in the BDSM/pet play/cg/l communities it obviously caught my attention fast when I was looking for good collars and the product was and still is high quality it took forever months to get my collar though a few years later I was gonna order again but the site was acting all weird and now it's gone (my heart is broken over the Hello Kitty plug the pink glass one I'll never have it now why is the world so cruel my obsession needed that) it's interesting to see so many people over the years talking about never receiving orders and getting outright scammed by them I hate that I never thought that would be the case with such a cute adorable shop I'm in shock I'm upset I feel so bad that everyone else had such a horrible experience while I just had to deal with a shitty waiting time to be exact I went back and forth emailing with them about it at the time of it all and they asked me if I was okay with them sending me someone else's order because it was basically the same as mine same collar exactly just had a paw print heart tag so I took it they said it would get to me quicker so I took it they said they were extremely backed up on orders and shipping and all that I felt like I didn't have any reason to be mad since as far as I had been aware it was just two sisters running a small business you know I guess it got too hard for them or something idk this all is so crazy to me I hope everyone was or is able to find better shops to buy their tails and collars and such I really need a good shop for cute collars custom ones

Scam. Contact your bank or paypal to try and get your money back. Include the order emails and anything you have saying the wait time for the order (so your bank or paypal knows why you didn't request a chargeback sooner). The business is dead and they won't give you your order or your money. Sorry.

I wish I could give a 0. Paid over $100 for a custom set of fox ears over a year ago. Waited and waited and now find their websites are gone and social media pages gone dead. Here's hoping PayPal can give me my money back.

Edit: Noooope, PayPal couldn't do anything and neither can my bank since I didn't use a credit card. I'm out $186 total 😭

I made an order in October 2021 and am still waiting on it as of March 2023 with no end in sight. I'll be filing a chargeback through my bank

Never received my order. Been almost a year.

Scam company. They have yet to give me back my $318 or products I purchased back in Aug. in 2022.

This place is a scam! I ordered $250 worth of stuff in early 2021 and still have not received my items. As far as I know they never even made them. As most of you know all of their forms of communication are gone. I've filed a dispute with my bank and hope this place doesn't come back. Buy from bat infested on Instagram instead, or literally anyone else.

Ordered a "ready made" light up kitten set for $175 USD in early November - processing times stated ready made orders ship out within 2 weeks. A week later, I emailed to add some ready made Christmas bows and received quick and helpful response. It is now March and I have not received anything and all emails go without response. Their socials and website are shut down / wiped clean and there are dozens of individuals without their orders or answers - some waiting over 2 years!
I was hesitant to order again after taking 8 months to receive simple black kitten ears in 2018 & should have trusted my gut instinct. DO NOT order from them and NEVER trust them. Instead of admitting their faults and putting any orders on pause to catch up they decided to take our money and run - Filing a charge back with my bank to hopefully recover the $200USD lost.

Please do not order from kittens playpen the waiting time is extremely unreasonable. I placed my order in April of last year and was able to change my old address to the new address two months in after the six months we started to get impatient because we ordered a custom set an a ready to ship set the only any updates we go were that it was with Kate and Doreen after that six days ago I decided to check my orders and the website was shut down. Their socials were deleted and they changed their bio to where it only has their link to the website and they limited comments. they have yet to made an update about this whole situation and haven’t emailed me back or anyone else for that matter, please save your money because there’s no guarantee that you’ll get your money back . they honestly have me left wondering if it was even worse ordering to begin with. but since this is happening to me, and everyone else I regret. It just sucks that they haven’t updated anyone and they still have orders from 2020 to now.

SCAM!!! Over one year have I been waiting for my item to deliver. Now the website it shut down and my e-mails will not be delivered.

I have ordered two items from them back in 2015 so I trusted them. But I placed a order on 5/5/21 and have received nothing. Over the time I would have to email them for updates and they kept promising me over and over they would start my order soon. In October 2022 I was told that they have to check with Tina because it should of been finished already. And then nothing.
My order wasn't even complicated. It was 1 solid black fox ear and 1 blue fox ear with a black tip.

I have waited weeks now for them to pop back up and make a statement about their sudden disappearance but it's clear that's not going to happen.

I'll be contacting my family friend who is a international small claims lawyer and begin a case against them.

I've gotten a few orders for them over the years and the last few have taken longer and longer with this past one being over a year. Now I've asked for a refund and they have, as many of these have suggested to others they might, ghosted me

Kittens Playpen is a small business that I followed for an extremely long time and I'd had some of their sets on my wishlist for 4+ years before I finally decided to order the "Bumblekitty Set" in April 2022. I made the missguided assumption that a business that had been running for so long, had a large following and posted to their socials regularly was a pretty reputable business. In hindsight, a quick search on Google, Tumblr, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media platforms, will reveal that they have been dodgy for most of the time they've been running. At the time I ordered, their website stated that the processing time for orders was 6 months. I patiently waited that 6 months, waited an ADDITIONAL 2 months out of courtesy and trust, and finally had to email them about the status of my order and to request a refund in December 2022. They apologised for the delay and enticed me to continue with my order by promising that it would be completed within 2 weeks, and they would include an extra gift for free. My order was not completed in 2 weeks, and I emailed them again in January 2023 to follow up yet again. This time, they did not reply at all. It is now at the end of February 2023, and they never replied to my email from January. I discovered that they closed their social media accounts, and removed the product listing's from their website. They were crafty and have clearly tricked people into waiting long enough to no longer protected by PayPal's 180 day buyer protection. PayPal also won't go out of their way to assist customers or ban the Kittens Playpen team from using PayPal despite the hundreds of people who have effectively been scammed, and have pushed all the responsibility back to myself and my bank. I understand they have policies to follow, but I am disgusted that they are allowing this business to continue using the PayPal platform. Kittens Playpen have a backlog of made-to-order purchases dating back 3+ years. Despite this, they have regularly created and sold various 'ready made' items, and continued to rake cash in from those, alongside hundreds of unfulfilled orders. Never trust this business, never buy from this business. If you have within the last 180 days via PayPal, dispute it immediately. If you paid by card, follow up with your bank immediately.

Unless you’re a popular instagram influencer, they will simply take your money and never talk to you again. That’s literally it, they are fulfilling just enough orders to appear legitimate, but in reality are scamming hundreds of people. If you’ve made the mistake of sending them your money, I would recommend IMMEDIATELY going to that transaction on your PayPal and filing a claim. That way, you will at least get your money back. I originally placed an ordered on June 11, 2022 for a 'Galaxy Puppy Set'.

On July 17, 2022 I asked if there was an update and asked how long the average wait time is for this type of order. They responded on July 20, 2022 and told me "your order is at tails, so nearly finished for you! :) The wait can vary; 6-8 weeks is typical, but we are experiencing a bit of a delay on tails currently. So should come over to quality check in the next few weeks or so".

I heard nothing back from them so I emailed them again on August 10, 2022 and asked for an update. They responded on August 12, 2022 saying that the order is with Dorina for the tail and should be coming over to quality check soon.

I again heard nothing back from them, so I email again on September 19, 2022 asking if everything is okay. They responded on September 22, 2022 stating that everything is okay and that "your tail is being worked on with the current back, that means it should come over to quality check sometime next week".

I heard nothing for 2 weeks, so I emailed again on October 8, 2022. I got a response on October 12, 2022 saying they will follow-up about the order. I heard back on October 17, 2022 that they are waiting on fur for the tail, that they unexpectedly ran out of and that there was a mix up about ordering more. They said the fur is on the way and once it arrives they will be making the tail.

I sent another email on November 5, 2022 asking for an update and got no response. I emailed again on November 13, 2022 and got no response, I emailed again on November 17, 2022 and got no response. I emailed again on November 29, 2022 and finally got a response back on December 1, 2022. I was told that Katelynn's co-workers have been on holiday and that had to take over all their duties and have been behind on emails. They stated they are still waiting on the fur.

I emailed again on December 31, 2022 asking if there are any updates. I got a response on January 5, 2023 stating that the fur has arrived and that the tail maker is working on my tail "this week" and that "it's nearly finished".

I've emailed again on February 15, 2023 and got no response.

My order has been "at tails" stage for over 215 days. I'm a very patient person when it comes to small businesses and independent artists; but the lack of communication is a serious problem that does not give customers any confidence in the business. I tried filing a dispute with PayPal, but they denied me since it's over the 180 day period. I highly doubt I will be given a refund or the purchased item at this point.

This is very disappointing. I was extremely excited about the product.

Just like many others I ordered over 2 years ago, January 2021. I was also veryyyy patient and understanding. Bust since this January i don't get any replies anymore and I tried everything. Wrote them via two different email addresses, via Facebook, insta, linked in and Tumblr (no one answered me). The website seems shut down, the insta comments are blocked now and their Facebook is deleted too. I spent over 200$ on this crystal fox ear and tail set + collar and I am pissed, i am from Germany and don't know how to sue them. I am open to any one getting in touch with me to maybe solve this...

I have been waiting 3 years for Fox ears in a kitten pattern and a 30" tail with matching removable bows and my ears had a piercing as well, I payed extra for those things. I made the purchase in 12/10/2020 payed $160!!!!!! I've emailed them over 7 times, was promised a free gift for waiting so long. That seemed all right to me. Now I've been VERY patient with them and still nothing they updated my order and stuff but it took them years. Now every thing is shut down and I'm extremely pissed and ready to actually sue them. I have wasted time and money and I'm very disappointed.

I placed an order of almost $200 on July 22nd of 2021 knowing that this company had 8+ week processing time on orders and that it was a small business.

After 6 months went by I sent an email regarding my concerns, but I was assured that they just needed more time. I'm a very understanding person, especially when it comes to small businesses and I have received an order from them in the past, so that gave me some peace of mind.

After 4 times of back and forth emails for almost 2 YEARS, I finally had enough and went to cancel my order as a whole but quickly realized that their website was down, social pages were deleted, and limitations on commenting were set on other socials.

Now, the biggest thing that get's me is that, I wasn't even the only one. There are multiple people that are being taken advantage of and I was completely oblivious, and yet, this company will not own up to their faults. Zero accountability has been taken. People are left with questions unanswered.

During the past years, they were even making "ready to ship" items knowing so many people have been waiting YEARS for their orders all while probably spending their hard earned money on god knows what. It blows my mind, truly.
It's like this company purposely told people that processing times were going to be long so they could scam them out of their money, KNOWING PayPal couldn't do anything about it after a period of time. Even if that wasn't the case, don't bite off more than you can chew and screw people over in the end. I hope law enforcement gets involved and some kind of lawsuit is issued, this is quite literally unbelievable.

This company is a SCAM. I can't understand why more people aren't talking about this. With this amount of unhappy customers, this could literally be on the news.

I ordered in July of 2021, so I've not waited nearly as long as some of these other folks, but this is ridiculous. At this point, I don't even know if products are even being made at all. Do NOT order from here unless you want to lose over $100.
