Failing blender and zero sustainability
Less than six years ago I bought a submersion blender by KitchenAid from John Lewis, with a whole suitcase of accessories and two big blending cups.
The blender was used about once a month, no heavy use, so by the time it started to give in it was used roughly 60 times. A very modest number for an expensive kitchen appliance. In recent months it started overheating pretty quickly, once there was a proper burning smell coming out of it, so a pate was left half-done, because when it overheats it stops working. In addition to this its rubber button on which you press to operate the blender started to disintegrate and tear apart, although the body of the blender was always gently wiped with moist cloth, never aggressively cleaned. When I called KitchenAid they informed me that the blender is past its guarantee time, so all I can do is buy a new model. 'But what about all the accessories?' I asked naively... 'a whole suitcase of them, surely there is a new model I can buy that would fit those?' NO was the answer of KitchenAid. There is no new model to fit your old accessories. They can go in the bin. ZERO points in sustainability KitchenAid! Needless to say I will never buy another kitchen appliance of yours.

Quality of some products are well below average. I bought 2 items a mixer and a food blender and both failed in the first 2 years with very minimal home use, and customer support is very slow and agreed at the end to repair at nearly the cost of a new blender!!

“You acknowledged receipt of the mixer upon its return almost three weeks ago.
Can you please advise why you have not refunded my money?
I have tried calling many times but despite hanging on the line for more than 20 minutes, at that point your system cuts my call off.
This really is disgraceful customer service
Please reply to this email

Great Performance, but Chipping is Disappointing
I purchased this kettle in 2022, and it’s been great. The temperature gauge is a fantastic feature as i drink herbal tea, the performance has been flawless—no issues there. However, I’ve noticed that the bottom of the kettle chips really easily. I paid more for this kettle because I liked the design and expected it to be more robust, but unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. I appreciate that it’s been in use for 3 years now, but the chips started appearing only about 6 months after I bought it. The chips are not too noticeable unless you really look for them, but it's still a disappointing flaw. It’s also worth mentioning that the kettle hasn’t been used roughly or by children, so the chipping isn’t due to heavy-handed use.
Absolutely awful customer service
Absolutely awful customer service. Had to spend hours and hours on hold, to be told that they couldn’t fix a loose trim band and I had to do it myself. I kept waiting for calls back which I didn’t receive, and in the final conversation I had I was treated extremely rudely. Not great for a premium product brand. Certainly will never buy from them again

HORRENDOUS Company!! AVOID!!!!
HORRENDOUS Company!!! I had an issue with my order - discovered Boxing Day 2024 - as was a Christmas present. I’ve contacted kitchen aid 6 times over the last 5 weeks multiple emails and messages and they have ignored every single one of them! It’s shocking.
My £500+ product was damaged and they have ignored every single form of contact from me and continue to do so!!
Absolutely disgusting customer service. Wish I never gave them a single penny of my money.
Threatened with legal action due to KitchenAid Error
STEER CLEAR OF ORDERING DIRECTLY. By far the worst customer service (oxymoron) experience I have ever had. Considering the products are not cheap don’t be mistaken in thinking they have customer service to back up their product reputation. I ordered some items directly from KitchenAid & despite all costs being included (as per my order confirmation) I was then sent an invoice by DHL for duty costs!! As per my order confirmation telling me to contact KitchenAid & refuse any request to pay duty, I contacted them on 18/12 & didn’t receive a reply until 31/12 asking me to pay the charges & claim it back. I refused to pay as these are KitchenAid responsibility as they incorrectly completed the documents stating DDU (delivered duty unpaid) instead of DDP )advised later of this when I had to contact DHL). I have emailed & called several times since with NO response, NO apology & NO effort to resolve this issue. After being threatened with legal action by DHL I have had to resolve this directly with DHL who were great and sorted it out without the stress & time I experienced with KitchenAid. I would never buy directly from KitchenAid again. They should be investigated for this behaviour & be held responsible & fined. Absolutely disgusting that they can ignore complaints & don’t even pay the charges they’re supposed to. STEER CLEAR
Not even worth one star
Not even worth one star. So very disappointed. Not only has the stand mixer we purchased in December never been used as it was faulty and warranty return provided us with another (not new) mixer, same issues doesn’t work and metal base plate is bent. We have had the same awful experience with numerous emails, hour long waits on the phone with no outcome. Not sure what else to do as it would seem that this company just take your money, supply expensive faulty goods and then don’t want to deal with you. £400 down the drain. The worst ever customer experience we’ve had and Kitchenaid don’t care. Recommend that you stay away from this awful
Company!
Worst Customer Service Ever!
I would completely steer clear from KitchenAid, their customer service is the worst I have ever seen in any company. You are only allowed to soeak to agents and cannot escalate any issue.
My KitchenAid mixer has been faulty three times and they would only recommend that it gets fixed!
They really don't care about you or your machine.
Steer clear!
Wont buy again
Bought a kettle under guarantee, stopped working. Send it back first time, they returned it unrepaired. Send it back a second time, they returned it unrepaired. They just dont want to know. I thought this was a premium brand but the customer care is shocking. How they get away with it is beyond me - the guarantee carries no weight.
poor quality and no customer service
they long out the email response till out of return period and when you phone they ask you to email and again take two weeks to respond.
understaffed call centers leaving no way to actually get help with an expensive product with poor quality control.

Bought a mixer that over heats so I can't use it. Contacted KA via both UK email addresses and had a reply saying they are only contactable via phone. I have now been holding for 25 mins waiting for someone to pick up the phone. No indication of whether I am in a queue ad if yes, where I am in the queue. I think it is designed so you give up eventually, which I will do in 10 minutes. Will never buy from this company again. Their lack of customer service is shocking
Utter rubbish
I bought a set of toaster and kettle products from KitchenAid. After six months the toaster was replaced as it was not evenly cooking. The new replaced toaster still does not work. The kettle is starting to leak out the seal at the bottom and will eventually cause rust spots.
Made in China is the culprit I think or somewhere cheap. However, I do have some old KitchenAid products which I’ve had for 10 years which are still going strong. I was hoping the new one was as good but they are not sorry but this is the truth.
Poor product quality and non existant Customer Service
Bought an expensive mixer for Christmas for my granddaughter wrapped it up and gave it to her on Christmas day. When she opened the package the mixer was damaged so I sent an email to Customer service on 30th with a complaint. Received an answer on 8th Jan saying they would do nothing as this was now outside the 14 day return/refund period.
Sent another reply on 13th Jan totally unhappy with their response also quoting the UK Customer Right Act 2015. No response to date. This is definitely the worst Customer Service I have ever encountered and would never consider another of these products.
Bad customer service ever
I contacted customer service to return a faulty product, but no one has contacted me regarding the return. The 14-day return guarantee is a lie. I am very disappointed.
They wont honour their warranty
Dont bother buying their products. They do not honour their warranty. My kettle broke after 1 year sent for a repair & till now 2 months after nothing. Emails stopped, but they got their kettle back & i'm here without compensation plus having to buy a new kettle. Terrible company avoid
Have been trying to contact since…
Have been trying to contact since Christmas about a return and no one is responding. Really poor customer service and no other way to return other than emailing them.
An embarrassment to the United States
Undelivered item after 5 weeks. Paid £120 to call customer service from the UK. No resolution. Written 9 emails, including 4 to the CEO. The worst online purchasing experience ever. Will have to do a chargeback. Heads should roll..never seen so many terrible reviews. Will buy from China in future.
shocking
would give 0 if i could. mixer broke on first use, no contact after 3 emails and a return request on website, going to have to get a credit card charge back to recover the £350 cost
