Pond pump

Avoid any dealing with this Mickey Mouse company, purchased a pond pump for a water feature which I had to send back as it didn’t work after 2 weeks. Informed the impeller was worn and now replaced so pump tested and sent back to me, refitted it and it makes such a noise it can’t be used, impeller still at fault. Contacted Kettering koi several times via email and the refuse to refund me or even give me back to postage costs as the parts were worn. Sure a new pump carries a warranty of more than 2 weeks???
Now they don’t even respond to my emails and they don’t have a telephone number to call.
AVOID DEALING WITH THIS TWO BIT COMPANY READ ALL THERE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.

Jebao UV pond clarifier

Recently bought a 11w Jebao UV pond clarifier as mine packed up. 2,000 litre pond was green so had to buy quickly. Was delivered within a few days and got it working. The advert stated it would clear the algae in under 2 weeks and it did, pond is now clear fish are very happy Competitive pricing, couldn’t get it cheaper near me.

BUYER BEWARE

I ordered fish food through Amazon but it was due to be sent directly from Kettering Koi via DPD. The prouct was advertised on Amazon as including postage. We asked for the package to be sent to a friends address, they normally have no problems recieving products from Amazon or DPD. The parcel was not delivered. First attempt was made when no-one was at home, the parcel was not left in a safe place as usual and a failed delivery note was NOT left. Allegedly an attempt was made the next day, the family were at home but heard nothing and again neither the parcel or a failed delivery note were left. The parcel was returned to Kettering Koi andI was given a reduced refund. On complaining to Kettering Koi I was told £9 had been retained as the parcel had to be returned, I was also told that these days, it is up to the customer to keep a view on tracking details and any messages from the carrier who could have organised another delivery time. The parcel was returned so fast we did not stand a chance. We found a message from Amazon, as an email, that was sent shortly after the failed first delivery but we saw it too late to do anything about it.
Beware of this situation..... We basically paid £9 for DPD to carry a parcel about on their van. We were not given adequate notice to sort out an alternative delivery and we can not find anything in Kettering Kois terms and conditions to say that this scenario could happen.

WARNING! Buy from somewhere else

Same here as other reviews.
They sell a lot of cheap Chinese products that just don't last longer than a few months.
You've been warned, steer clear of them and order somewhere else.
As per the rest of the comments they don't care what you say, in their eyes they don't sell anything that goes wrong/develops faults...it's all your fault.
I've left reviews all over review websites and social media, maybe they'll start taking notice when their sales figures drop.

Well well what a surprise after reading…

Well well what a surprise after reading the negative reviews on here...NOT !! I purchased a pet carrier from them via Amazon 6 months ago. It has been used all of 6 times. The closing mechanism has completely come away rendering it unusable as your pet would be able to get out which is not what you want to happen. I contacted them by email via Amazon. To be told that they'd need to inspect it and that I had to return at my own cost. If an item is faulty, long distance selling rules come into force and the seller has to pay the return postage. I contacted Consumers Advice to check my rights and they agreed. Surprise surprise this seller flatly refuses to pay the return costs. They even told me to contact the manufacturer to sort it out... er my contract is with with you as the seller not the manufacturer. I offered to send photos of the fault which they say they have sent to the manufacturer for comment. They then told me if the manufacturer agrees that its faulty they'll replace the door but I have to pay the postage.. its laughable. Here is what they said to me in two of their emails....
First email... How many times do I have to tell you we dont cover postage on an item after 6 months, so if you want us to replace this you pay the postage or come and collect it.
Second email...I have to also remind you that for all we know you have broken this by manhandling it, we cannot comment on the item until its been inspected (which it hasnt yet as you havent sent it back).... They are so unprofessional... this company has zero customer service. They dont want to accept any responsibility. Its shameful...... I have also been told by the manufacturer that this item has a 5 year warranty and this company still refuses to replace it if I don't send it and pay the return postage out of my own pocket !!! How can that be right? They also said that they are not going to correspond any further with me and promptly closed the Returns request!! A date in the not too distant future...at the Annual Customer Service Awards Ceremony....and the winner is (drum roll).... Kettering Koi & Ponds Ltd....er I dont think so. I hope if any of you buy from this company and the item ends up faulty, that you have better luck than myself and several others who have ended up with faulty items. Good luck to you.

Faulty goods not acknowledged.

Bought a pond steriliser and followed the sketchy set-up instructions to the letter, gluing in the horsetails. Leaks from both in and outlet ports. Company insists this was my fault as I “ had not glued them in correctly”. They refuse to give a refund.

Purchased a well known brand of reptile…

Purchased a well known brand of reptile thermostat two months later it failed. Contacted the seller who refused a return stating it was outside 30 days. This relates to a no quibble eselling agreement and is overridden by the sale of goods act and the manufacturer warranty. The manufacturer confirmed from video evidence provided as did a local specialist retailer and a reptile society that the thermostat was faulty. The seller stated it was not it had been on test and there was no problem. I had to pay £11 to return the item as the seller refused a return, later refunded by PayPal. As I explained to the seller I had been forced to buy a thermostat so that my python hadn't died from cold he reluctantly agreed to a refund maintaining it was my fault.
Buyer beware.

First rate service very helpful advise

First rate service very helpful advise, prices are great and beat most people also a very fast delivery at a very reasonable cost, many companies load the cost of delivery to boost profits, Kettering Koi don't. Will shop with these from now on first. Thank you Kettering Koi
