Drop the car off on Monday spoke to a young man called Alfie very nice indeed very friendly and knowledgeable I said my car was booked in to have all four wheels refurbished in powder coating and calipers painted red.
I got told to collect on Friday Morning,
I phoned on Thursday afternoon to confirm if car was going to be ready I was told yes between 10 and 11am, also on the way there I got a reminder on my phone that my vehicle was ready for collection.
The wheels looked amazing and my red calipers stood out, very happy with the workmanship by Alfie would highly recommend.
Communication can be a bit frustrating but please remember these men are working on vehicles not sitting by a phone like a receptionist does so please be wary of this as for me. I was quite happy dropping my car off on the Monday. Been told to pick it up Friday. What other communication do you need? If there’s a problem? They contact you?
At the end of the day, I was very happy with the cost of works and the workmanship by Alfie.

I took my alloy to Kerbed to have a very fine crack welded. Straight away they tried to bump up the price of the repair by saying the wheel was probably buckled too and would need straightening.

I said if it needed more than welding, not to bother, I'd get a new wheel instead.

The wheel was put on a balancing machine, which wasn't switched on and manually rotated.

By sight alone I was told the wheel was bucked at the hub and it was a right off.

I couldn't see anything wrong when the wheel was rotated but was assured the wheel was a gonna.

Suspicious they couldn't be arsed because there wasn't enough money in it for them, I took the wheel to TC Fabrications in Lancing.

TC Fabrications welded the wheel, balanced it and reinflated the tyre, all for £50 less than Kerbeds quotation.

The car drives extremely well with no vibration or instability.

So if you don't mind Kerbed overcharging you for fictitious work, they are the charlatans for you.

Otherwise, I'd avoid them like the plague if you value honesty!
