Terrible packing and service

Kent picked up my goods from Perth, Australia in April. I was concerned about the way items were just stuffed in boxes, but was assured that 'proper packing' occurred at the warehouse. I chose Kent because I have a large vinyl and CD collection, which I wanted to protect, and was under the impression they would be packed with care. The goods finally arrived at my London address in October (6 months later). I noted that there was no 'proper packing', and unsurprisingly, a number of items were damaged. I'm very disappointed in the state of my treasured items. I will not use them again.

If I could give no stars I would. Very poor packing, very poor contents listing for international move. Delivery transferred to White and Co for delivery. Cost to deliver charged as much as already paid to Kent for uplift and delivery or would not be delivered under ruse that the bill was from HMRC which was untrue. When delivery made the unpacking and removal of packaging not done. Had to also pay extra for having the packaging taken away. Never again! Delivery date Jan 3rd 2025. I moved from Narre Warren, Australia to Darlington UK.
Kent Removals do not respond to letters or emails once they have your money.

Definitely I will not recommend this…

Definitely I will not recommend this company.
They are very quick in replying and answering questions till you pay them, as soon as a problem happens, they will totally ignore you.
I have used this service to move house, the crew was taking too many breaks and wasting time, luckily I was moving quite close to my old address so this was not a problem as there was no much time wasted on the road.
They dismantled my furniture and reassembled again. I have a baby cot which I did not need at that time so it was stored in a storage area, few days later I did discover that the nails and locks needed to reassemble the cot were not handed to me. I did try to contact them and they said they will look into it and no one ever came back to me and I did try multiple times to contact them and ask for compensation for the cot value as they advertise that there is a guaranteed insurance for the damages, but no one is answering.
Quite unprofessional and deceiving.
Do not trust what they say.

I have recently use this company never…

I have recently use this company never ever again I move to my new home with full belief that out stuff was protected by ther insurance... boy was I wrong I move into my new home early morning got bit more settles and bit organised and end of the day went to go relax with sofa and TV and find out my TV screen (the inside) was damage pink lines all across my screen, emailed and made a claim I was unable to recieve it as they had no before or after proof it was them that's damaged when it was fully working and clear the day before also in disbelief I also checked other thing and found out my fridge was damaged to has a lovely dent at the handle... If you use this company make sure you stuff have big insurance before you use this company don't belive there insurance cover at all never again and definitely never recommend to friends of family even in desperate need 😡😡😡

Avoid- Unprofessional and unethical

AVOID using this company as they are unprofessional, unorganised and unethical. I had booked a move in with this company however the day before I was having to chase to find out when they would be arriving. Until I booked in with them they were pleasant, however I later realised that they had not been transparent with me and kept referring to Terms and Conditions which were never sent to me. They also asked for full payment up front, which should have been a big red flag. The company name is Kent Removals however the bank account is registered to a different company number which has only been registered since 2023- EMEN Transport Ltd.

By 4pm the day before our move I was chasing to find out what was going on and eventually they gave me a 4 hour slot when someone would arrive. They kept telling me that they couldn't give me a fixed slot, but no one had told me this at the time of booking. If I had known they couldn't offer this I would have chosen another company as we needed to plan for the day. Only after lots of back and forth they emailed me after 7pm when they told me someone would come at 8am the following morning. I did not agree to this time as we were not available then but they sent movers anyway. They are now saying that they completed their end of the bargain by sending someone for the move on the day, but this time was not even agreed with me. We ended up using another company that were able to confirm a fixed slot.

I also read some of these reviews (a bit too late) which explain how people have been scammed and extorted for additional money. After this we absolutely did not trust using their service. The manager says that the reviews are not related to their business, however they market themselves as Kent Removals Ltd, and the experience I have is in line with this.

Despite asking for a refund, even if only a partial refund, they are refusing to do so and in turn are telling me that I'm rude, when I'm simply unhappy with the service and wanted to cancel when they couldn't be clear with me. A really disappointing experience and they don't treat customers fairly.

Avoid, scam

This company is set up purely to scam. My experience was that we received a quote and were asked to pay a portion of it as deposit. They arrived unprepared and I had to help them do the work in time otherwise we would be charged more. They then drove off with my stuff and extorted us for another £650 to get our stuff back. They said we could get a refund if we unload quickly. We unloaded in 40 mins and we requested a refund but they were looking for every reason not to give it back to us. I later discovered that they subcontract the actual manual Labour to other “companies”, so kent removals don’t even do removals. The company who actually moved us apparently are called bishop removals, and I still haven’t been able to find any record of this company. There are no contracts, no terms and conditions. I wouldn’t be able to describe this company in any other way than criminal. I have reported them to action fraud. Look at them on companies house, and look at their registered address and people in charge. Look at the other companies associated with these names and addresses. Wecare removals, simpson removals, these all work in the same way.

Really smooth

Really smooth, efficient and professional service from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for the removal guys and they even dismantled and reassembled our bed as part of the service. Would definitely recommend to others!

If I could give zero stars I would…..

After a month of back and forth of some fairly disorganised customer service conversations, we finally booked our removals date.

The team booked us in for the incorrect weekend and after paying the deposit we couldn’t get hold of them for 3 days.

After finally amending the date we had to chase and chase to receive the moving day details of which it eventually came.

Once they turned up on the day, the removals men were rude and picked up some of our stuff and left within 2 hours.

Despite having 2 1/2 hours left on our 5 hour quotes service they then refused to return to pick up our final items and take them back to the storage unit which was only a 20 min drive away because they wanted to move to the next job and finish early no doubt.

After talking to the customer service team they hung up on me once and when I called back they refused to send them back to finish the job and welcomed that I submit a review and a complaint so here it is.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

They're a bunch of expensive crooks and haven’t refunded us at all for the service we paid for.

AVOID! If I could give 0 stars, I would!!

I booked my removals van months in advance, paying early on my own accord so that it would all be completed smoothly. When it came to the day, I was waiting promptly outside at 8am (the arranged time) and no one came, after 30 minutes she told me they had broken down and we would have to wait up to 2 hours.

After about 1.5hrs another van came, with two small man who said they weren't movers and that they were from an office but were doing the manager a favour. They had no door stops, trolleys, uniforms or supports, nothing, they just came in a knackered old van in their own clothes.

To remove our small 1 bed flat (with no sofa and a lift) it took them 4 hours!! They quoted it being 1.5-2 which was normal and even I alone could have done it in that time but by this point we had paid over £1000 so they were doing it. They refused to take my TV, as it was 'too fragile' despite the fact I had checked with them a few days before over email and she had told me that as long as it was bubble wrapped they would do the rest. I had to pay costs to store it in London and then drive an 8-hour round trip to get it myself as they didn't take it.

Because they took so long, by the time we arrived at our destination (220 miles away) the storage company was closed as they took too long and we got there at 6-7pm. Thankfully I had all these hours to arrange for someone, at short notice, to leave work to get there and sign up for a more expensive unit at the storage company, that had later access so we could put all of our belongings in it. This, therefore, is costing us even more money every week.

They took so long that we all decided to do it instead and it got done much quicker. Not due to them.

We then sent them the postcode for the final destination and despite it being the right postcode they ended up 30 minutes away in another city.

They finally finished the job at around 10pm, when it should have been done at about 6-7. The guys who came to move us are not to blame, they were asked by an incompetent man to do something they weren't trained how to do.

I obviously rung multiple times to get a hold of the manager who mysteriously was on holiday for weeks, after he was 'back' both mine and my partners numbers were blocked. We emailed and after 2 weeks we had a response which was full of lies, and even though I immediately responded I never heard back.

I sent two letters to them explaining how I needed a partial refund to cover the costs incurred due to their terrible service. No response, I would take them to court but I simply cannot afford it. Companies like this shouldn't be allowed to operate unnoticed. Use someone else, moving is stressful enough without terrible people like this trying to get your money for bad work.

Making moving seamless!

I had a brilliant experience with my move with Kent Removals. Booking was easy and painless. Offered a good value quote for the work and the pricing is clear and transparent. I received good advice on the size of van needed and the timescale of the move which was very accurate. On the day, the guys (led by Michael) were fantastic. Fast, polite and careful with our belongings. I couldn't have done it without this brilliant team. Along with carefully placing all the items in the correct place in the house, I was delighted that the team were able to re-assemble my furniture too. I would highly recommend this service for their work and value for money.

This Company provided everything that we expected for our house move.
The 2 men were very helpful,dismantling beds, washing machine and gas cooker. In the new house they fitted all back.
The move was hassle free thanks to these men.
Definitely recommend this company.

Very friendly, quick and professional.

Very friendly, quick and efficient. First time using their service. From the get go Tony gave amazing customer service with clear communication. The movers were very helpful and professional moving a big wardrobe which had to be reassembled on the other side from one house to another. Will defo use them again.

The removal men were fantastic, they packed and loaded seamlessly, we were hardly aware of their presence. Price was very competitive as well. Strongly recommend them

***WARNING!***DO NOT USE! I LOST £1K! SOPHISTICATED SCAM!

****WARNING***: USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR PERIL! SOPHISTICATED SCAM RING! Reported to police and authorities. They spend all their time flagging negative reviews on here and other review platforms and recently took down their Facebook page which had so many bad reviews from REAL people. Trust Pilot has verified this review as I had proof! A bunch of unprofessionals who verbally abuse and swear at customers making a mockery of their mental health from their WeCareRemovals account (they have now been forced to retract their abusive response in colourful language after I flagged with Trust Pilot), charge extortionate additional costs on the day of the move and subcontract their work to non uniformed unprofessional movers who turn up in a dirty small van. Since then, another professional honest company has had to use TWO LARGE Trucks with FOUR men to move my things. I have been told there was NO WAY my things could fit into a Luton van that WeCare was offering! My advice to anyone reading this review is to RUN a mile away from a business who only insists on taking payments via bank transfers. It is a calculated move for when things go wrong as they know fully well customers are not covered. We Care Removals and Kent Removals are the SAME company who operate with different names (to rip customers).This was confirmed to me in writing by their staff. Upon checking the records of KentRemovalsLTD on the U.K. registrar of companies called Company House, it shows company’s owner. However You will never speak with him and only ever speak to an English man, who in the beginning is very professional, cracking jokes, etc. until you pay money. They subcontract jobs from WeCare Removal to Kent Removal LTD. Contact made on 6/9/21 after finding WecareRemovals online and was emailed a fixed quote of £1,000 for removals & storage by a team of “professional movers.” 10 hanging boxes, protective furniture covers for mattress, glass furniture, to be provided. Staff insisted payment only via bank transfer. This rang warning bells but ignored intuition & made full payment on 11/9/21. 13/9/21 at 8.45am 2 non-uniformed men in a tattered dirty van arrived with cling film (claimed they were no furniture covers available) and 6 hanging boxes. Despite staff advising work isn’t subcontracted, men appeared sub-contracted and one spoke no English. Claimed my items where not on inventory list and showed an app – were I suspect the job had been picked from. So much for a team of "professional movers." Alarmed as I had never filled out “inventory list,” made a call to this dishonest company who said there is additional costs for items not on inventory list. I questioned this “inventory list” as had never filled one. The Englishman became aggressive, verbally abusive and hung up. I made 3 attempts to speak with him & each time he ended the call. I spent next hour in limbo trying to clarify there was to be no additional unexplained last-minute costs. He eventually sent email with screenshot of an “inventory list” I had supposedly filled - the items listed & quantity were incorrect. I had not filled this list and had never done so. He eventually acknowledged that I did not fill this, it was their error and I will not be charged extra. He then threatened me with additional costs for “delayed loading time.” It was almost 10:00am, I was extremely stressed & feeling trapped in a hostage situation with different threats. I had spent 1hr 15mins battling a fake inventory list now had to battle with new issue of extra costs for “delayed waiting time.” As I tried to find out more, He refused to talk with me -phones went unanswered. Eventually, a lady with very limited English picked up phone and claimed she was not aware of the issue & would pass message to the Englishman. At this stage, knew I could not entrust these individuals with my things in long term storage given their questionable behaviours. Who knew what additional extra cost could crop up when they had my things in their storage? It was akin to playing dice with death & given everything that had happened, their unprofessional aggressive behaviours & catalogue of unexplained last-minute costs, I could not continue with their service. Asked for full refund & it was denied. And that is how I have lost £1,000! They have since spent all their time flagging my reviews as fake but I have shown evidence to trust pilot! Please AVOID this company! I am still fighting to get my £1,000 back and have joined forces with others who have gone through similar to report them to the police, etc. Please, please, STAY away from this company or be like me and lose your £1K cash! Bring on your lawyers! See you in court! RUN AWAY from these scammers please!

1. Kent Removals LTD was established on 2016 and hasnt got nothing to do with Wecare Removals LTD , they are 2 different companies
2.Our facebook page it was , is and it will be live , we have nothing to hide
3. Definetly we dont have any court cases and we will never have , all our prices are transparent and if we make a mistake we take the resposability for it
5. I can assure you that all my guys know enough english to are able to fullfit a removals job on the highest standards , 90% from them are Brits , all other reviews which we have it are a credit for what i say here , even if we make mistakes we take responsabilities and we sort the problem
4. You post the same review on the other company , i really dont understand why your review is still live , but i presume that you edit an invoice and add my company name on it , im wonder who pays you to do this

If you are so "Honest" post a review from your account not from a fake account , trustpilot shouldnt allow fakes accounts to review companies
