Avoid! Two defective bags and no repair, replacement or refund for second fault

In April 2024 I ordered a Navy Tregoose leather bag direct from Kate Sheridan at a cost of £298. I was sent a bag that was visibly lopsided because they had not stitched the leather panels together correctly. I returned the defective bag as faulty and received a replacement.

Within a year the replacement bag had also developed a fault: one of the panels turned brown, so I now had a patchwork navy and brown bag. The bag was only lightly used (because my primary bag is black) and stored in dark conditions. Given the rapid and patchy change in colour it seems clear that the affected panel was not dyed properly. Again I reported the fault, but this time was told that the change in colour from navy to brown on some panels was part of the "natural aging process" of the bag and that they refused to either repair or replace it. In my view this is a clear breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

My advice is not to buy from this company. It was bad enough to pay nearly £300 and receive one defective bag, but to be sent another defective bag as a replacement and then be denied a remedy is shocking.
