A Cautionary Tale of Lifetime Deals
There is no real point in leaving a review for a company that no longer exists, but this is the perfect space to leave a cautionary tale of lifetime deals. Like many startups, Jumpstory reached out to early adopters with a lifetime access deal, which when calculated, gave you unlimited access for around 18 months worth of cost. This was a great deal at a time when stock footage was steadily growing in pace.
However, like nay type of early access/early adoption, you are talking a risk with an unknown quantity. How long will this company run? How much development is needed for a final product? Will the product still be viable in 18 months.
With Jump Story, their very own story was to be cut short by an immerging technological trend, AI Image generation.
With AI now at the very height of popularity, stock companies are all struggling to keep relevant. Jump story tried to inject AI into their flavor, but they were simply borrowing from frameworks already laid out by others and being left way behind in the quality and accessibility of images.
And so, they collapsed and are no more. It's sad for us who invested, because we took a risk at something exciting, but it sadly came at the wrong time. The companies dissolution does leave us wondering about the legality of any images we used, but that's really not an issue any more, as AI can easily create something to replace those old images.
So, to you, investors of the future, I say "good luck". Don't let this sad demise get you down. Keep up the good work in pushing small companies forward, but always realise the risks involved.
I purchased a lifetime subscription to…
I purchased a lifetime subscription to this service, only to discover today that the company has gone out of business. I received no prior notification about this situation, which is extremely disappointing. The lack of communication and sudden closure leaves me feeling frustrated and misled as a customer. This experience has significantly impacted my trust in lifetime subscription offers. I would caution potential customers to be wary of similar deals from other companies.
They seem to have gone out of business
They seem to have gone out of business, but I keep getting charged $58 month after month with no way to log in and cancel! SCAMMED BIG TIME!!!
I was researching stock photography…
I was researching stock photography sites and yours has unique, vibrant, and relevant images. Depending upon workflow, I will return to subscribe, in future.
Thank you!

100% scam - stay away
Very bad experience:
- low quality images that can easily be found elsewhere for free
- the AI is absurdly bad
- glitchy, weird user interface that was constantly crashing or hanging
- confusing billing terms that resulted in my "free trial" turning into an expensive annual membership without notice
- it's impossible to get anyone to respond to you, even though they send numerous automated emails
- every time I tried to cancel, their website wouldn't let me - nothing happens when you click on the links
This doesn't appear to be a real company, their main focus seems to be running a scam to get your cc info and then billing you for their "annual" plan with no advance notice and no way of cancelling.
Great customer support and business growth
Great customer support after needing access to my account I have not used in multiple years.. great to see the platform growing and sticking to their business model - I was a early adopter in this company and great to see it grow!
Jumpstory is the absolute WORST company…
Jumpstory is the absolute WORST company I've ever worked with. I normally do not leave any bad review even when I don't like the product as long as customer service is good. Sometimes a product isn't the right fit or it's something I don't like but as long as customer service is great, then that's ok. With jumpstory, well let's say it's a horrible story. They take a long time to respond to your email and every time they respond, there's no change or any sort of effort to make things better or help you. It's been 3 weeks and the issue I've initially emailed about still hasn't been resolved. I would not recommend this company at all and I'd say, stay away from any company that doesn't treat their customers well, and by well I mean just the common things (not over the top things), such as responding and resolving the issue in a timely manner instead of it taking 3 weeks (and still hasn't even been resolved). If you can, I suggest you stay away from this company and from using this product. It will save you a lot of headache.

Good quality AI image generation
The AI image generation is brilliant. Just be aware that if you try the free trial you can't cancel it within the first 48 hours and must cancel within 7 days. Thank you to Anders for his assistance.

Poor communication about subscriptions
I signed up for Jumpstory 12 months ago on a free trial, I missed the emails about the subscription moving to a 12 month contract and reached out to JumpStory the same day, they refused a refund. We've been using Jumpstory sporadically as the images don't suit our business, and with not a single email our subscription was renewed. These guys are less about customers and more about collecting the money.

Message: I was SHOCKED at how well Jumpstory interpreted my very first Text to AI Generation prompt...
You totally nailed it on the first generation!!! Earlier today I used Leonardo.AI for six hours struggling to fine tune my prompt but their Text to AI Generation never came close to what I intended. They produced dozens of wrong generations during that time period, but they all greatly distorted what I was trying to accomplish--talk about feeling frustrated!
Way to go Jumpstory for correctly following my prompt on my very first try! What a time saver! (true experience, without payment from Jumpstory!)
And the staff at JS has been a pleasure to work with too, with clear, concise communications.
Thanks a ton JS!

I think you provide a great selection of images for the low monthly fee you charge. Great job!
JumpStory offered a one-time lifetime…
JumpStory offered a one-time lifetime purchase and it has been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. They have a huge choice of photos, videos and clip art, all cleared for any use. It’s been very helpful.
A breath of fresh air
JumpStory offers a fresh selection of images which it seems Getty has not yet consumed. Most appear to be European, an important asset for my client, a global analytics firm. The photos are professional, as is the customer service, which responded promptly despite my inquiry during a pre-holiday-weekend panic search. And...their subscription model is reasonably priced. I give them three thumbs up and wish I had four arms.
Decent selection of "real" type images
It has a good selection of images that look less stock.
I can't always find images I need so I have to use it together with other services.

I am very happy user, support are fast, friendly and willing to help.
Quality photos, good variety, search could be better
Jumpstory has been a very good resource for finding images to go along with blog posts. I have been using it for about 4 years, I think. It is free and I have been pleasantly surprised with the variety. I always start here to find an image, then I go to my paid stock image site. About 75% of the time, I find what i need here, which has helped reduce costs. I think their search parameters could be better, though. I had a large project for a dog site, and I was impressed with the variety of dog breed images I found on Jumpstory. What was annoying was all the photos of hotdogs that I had to sift through. I wish there was a way to mark a photo as irrelevant or "don't show me this again."
