I would give an 0 star review if I could. Absolutely appalling experience with J R Cleaning. I booked an end of tenancy clean for today (05/06/25), and received a confirmation call just yesterday to confirm the time slot of 8:30am–10am. By 11am, no one had arrived.

I tried calling every number I had for them, including their secretaries Lilly and Victoria—no one picked up. Someone was clearly picking up the phone and then hanging up, which felt like they were actively avoiding me. I also sent two emails and received no response whatsoever.

This clean was crucial and time-sensitive, and their total lack of professionalism has put me in a really difficult situation. No explanation, no apology, just radio silence. I'm absolutely fuming. Avoid this company at all costs—they are unreliable and completely unresponsive.

Good result and completed the job fast and efficient

Recently had my roof cleaned by 2 men who were polite and professional. I was sceptical about booking due to the reviews but so happy I went through with it. The office girls were so helpful and communicated the day before to confirm and the day of the job. Highly recommend!

tried to get them to come and give us a quote, they failed to turn up three times. their communication is terrible. they say they are coming, then you get a text after they were meant to turn up rearranging for another day. you ask them what time on the rearranged day, they don't respond so you assume they are not coming, then you get yet another 'i can't come today' text when you were not even expecting them. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

At very short notice Kieran managed to do an emergency guttering repair to a property we were working on. Excellent communication and work completed to a high standard. We will be using them again in the future! Many thanks

Terrible company. Communication is non existent. Book you in then they fail to turn up, you have to chase them to find out they're not coming! Do not answer messages and pretend they can't hear you when you ring for an explanation. Have started a complaint with Trading Standards. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Horrendous. RIP of merchants. Charged me £130 for sealing a leaking gutter pipe . Had paid for cleaning of gutters , bracket checking and the leak . No gutter cleaning , no bracket checking and two days later it rained and my gutter still leaks . The ‘gentleman’ turned up , threw his cigarette butt down outside my back gate then decided to rip me off .

I would not recommend JR Cleaning. While their emails are polite, their attempt at professionalism is badly flawed by their spelling and grammar, and similarly their service is let down by a "can’t be bothered" mentality. They have repeatedly failed to show up as scheduled, always citing last-minute excuses like vehicle breakdowns. Worse still, they never take the initiative to inform me of delays—I am always the one who has to chase them for updates.
The office staff promise to call back but never do, leaving us waiting all day for workers who never arrive. No matter how courteous their communication, it means little when they simply don’t follow it through.
If you value reliability, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
I don’t know why, but I was recently reminiscing about how, when I was little, I used to enjoy playing COWBOYS and Indians. Funny that.

The 3-day guaranteed was a scam. After the work was done, the check out report was sent to them and ask for something needed to re do the next day. They said they will offer a one-time return visit in their reply my email. Then not hear from them anymore.

If there was a minus star rating I’d leave one.
The company is utterly useless and unreliable. Twice we booked and twice they failed to show.
My advice is DO NOT USE THEM

This company did not turn up at date and time agreed to complete a simple gutter repair. Never advised they had cancelled the appointment. Not responding to emails. Cannot get through on phone just automated message on hold for over 20 minutes. I would avoid. Disappointing

Poor customer service, I thought this was a professional company. Three phone calls and one email just ignored. Not professional at all.

First class job - very friendly.

I hired them for an end-of-tenancy cleaning for a property I was moving into. First, two days before the scheduled cleaning—when I had already made all the arrangements for my move—they tried to reschedule it from Saturday to Sunday. When I strongly objected, explaining that I needed the cleaning done before unpacking, they agreed to keep the original appointment.

As for the cleaning itself, they only cleaned the obvious areas and didn’t go beyond surface-level work. Additionally, they threw away a loft pole that I had left behind a door in the morning. That evening, just 20–30 minutes after they left the property, I realised the pole was missing and immediately contacted them. They handled the situation very poorly, insisting that the loft pole was still in the property. They claimed to have seen it but couldn’t say where.

Despite my urgency—I needed the pole by Monday—they offered no real assistance. I spent nearly an hour searching for it in an almost empty property. When I told them the pole was definitely missing and that they must have taken it, they simply said they would check their before-and-after pictures and get back to me. I never heard from them again—not even a message or a call to follow up, apologise, or offer a solution.

Really poor cleaning service and even worse customer service. I would never use this company again.

Booked the services for end of tenancy cleaning , they cancelled at the last moment. Pathetic services
