1⭐Avoid at all cost

1⭐ – Very bad experience – be careful

I had a very disappointing experience with this company, currently operating again under the name “JR Car Rental” after previously using names such as “JR Car and Van Rental,” “Jar Auto Car & Van Rental Transport Services,” and “JOHN’S WHEEL CAR RENTAL AND VAN TRANSPORT.”

There appears to be a recurring pattern of changing business names over time, which makes it difficult for customers to track previous reviews and experiences.

I booked a full-size SUV (Fortuner / Everest), but was instead provided with a Toyota Veloz — a lower category MPV. No compensation or price adjustment was offered for the downgrade.

The vehicle was not suitable for our trip and caused significant inconvenience.

At the end of the rental, my 5,000 pesos deposit was kept after I raised concerns, without clear or valid justification.

I was also pressured to sign a document stating that I would not leave a negative review, with mention of possible police involvement if I refused. This was completely unacceptable and very unprofessional.

Based on my experience, I strongly recommend choosing another rental company.

1⭐Philippines - Car and Van Rental to avoid at all costs

1⭐ – Avoid at all costs

I strongly advise against renting from this operator. What starts as a smooth and friendly booking quickly turns into a very different experience once your trip is underway.

We were quoted and paid an agreed price upfront, only to be hit with additional charges at the end that effectively doubled the original cost. These charges were not clearly disclosed and felt completely unjustified.

When we challenged the extra fees and refused to pay, the situation escalated dramatically. The owner brought in an associate who became physically aggressive, and the incident only de-escalated after police intervention. This was not just a dispute over money — it became a safety issue.

If you’re considering renting a vehicle in Angeles City, be extremely cautious. There are many reputable operators available — this is not one of them.
