I purchased 4 JR-12 wheels for my wife's MX5 in June last year through the UK supplier WheelBase. 10 months later the 2 rear wheels have the lacquer peeling off them and are starting to look dreadful. I contacted Wheelbase who in turn wrote the Japan Racing Wheels, they said it was stone chips and were only prepared to offer £85 as a token of good will. It’s a manufacturing fault as the front wheels are fine, plus car has only covered 5 thousand miles.

So, to conclude these wheels are of a very low quality and not fit for purpose and to make matters worse have no real warranty from Japan Racing!
