I purchased some items

I purchased some items, and they didn't work out. I returned them and was given a 5-digit number to use as a credit. I went back to the site about a year later to use the credit, but it wasn't working, and the order went through without the credit being applied. I sent a message letting them know the credit didn't work. They said they couldn't apply it to something that was already purchased. So I sent a message asking them to cancel my order. They said it was too late because they shipped the order. Now I'm trying to return it to them, and they will only give me a credit because I used a coupon on their site. They did send me a new 16-digit code, so my first credit will work now. It's such a shame their customer service is so bad. I applied the number they gave me, it didn't, and the order went through.

After reviewing your case, we’d like to clarify a few important points regarding how our store credit and order policies work. Store credit must be applied at the time of checkout, as orders are processed immediately once they are placed in our system. For this reason, we’re unable to retroactively apply credit to an order that has already been completed or processed.
Once an order has been submitted, it immediately enters our fulfillment workflow, and in many cases begins processing for shipment very quickly. Because of this, cancellations are only possible within a very short window before the order is fulfilled. Once it has been shipped, we are unable to cancel it, as it is already on its way to the customer.
Regarding returns, items purchased with a promo code or discount are considered final sale under our policy and are eligible for store credit only. This is why, in this case, store credit was provided as the resolution option.
We always aim to be transparent about these policies so expectations are clear at the time of purchase.

Quality is always top notch

Misleading and unethical practices

I purchased for the first time from this company on March 13. All items other than one were full price. I made sure to check the return policy, which states:

“ Q: Is my return eligible for a refund?

A: Full priced items qualify for a refund, store credit, or exchange.”

I did not read on, as my order fell into that category. It isn’t until you read further into the policy that actually, that’s a complete lie - full price items are not eligible for return if a promo code is used. This is beyond misleading and is clearly used to fool people. Why such a bizarre policy that I completely outside the standard for retail? These are still full priced items; a promo just took a discount off the total.

Regardless, I emailed asking for a one time exception to make a return back to my form of payment. I ordered a few more items than I typical would I have so that I could get an idea of the materials and fit. And I liked the items! It’s just that only one dress fit me. At the time of me asking this request, I still planned to order in the future especially is they offered kind and reasonable customer service in this matter.

After multiple emails, they refuse. I am asking for a small return and refund, around $200, and they refuse to work with me.

I have now reported to BBB and attorney general and am working my way through reviews and social media. Really disgusting and misleading practices. Don’t gaslight customers into thinking this is normal when you are clearly phrasing your verbiage to fool them and be misleading.

A Dress She’ll Never Let Go 💙

My daughter absolutely loves her Kaya Dress in Barely Blue. She first wore it to her 5th grade dance three years ago, and then again for her 6th grade dance banquet. She loves it so much that she still keeps it hanging in her closet and refuses to part with it. We love Joyfolie!
