Really slow checkout! Poor staff left alone on till with long queue, she was doing her best to help multiple customers at the same time by herself. When I finally got to the till I asked if she was working alone and she told me management had been upstairs for the past hour! Staff member was clearly quite distressed but was still very apologetic even though it was no fault of hers. Should have more staff on till or at least another member around instead of one person working alone. It is completely unfair on both staff and customers to leave a single employee to handle a busy store alone while management avoids the shop floor, very disappointing.

I called into the Widnes store this week and I can honestly say I will not be returning! I have been shopping at the store for many years. However, the last few times I have been in and needed a refund or a return for my dog I have been left waiting for a manager to approve this -why is a manger not present on the shop floor.

The young lady who served me was very polite and apologetic however, I had to wait almost 10 minutes. In the end I walked out of the store. I am also a store manager myself for for a well known retail store. I would never leave a member of staff alone with no support. Not only is it highly dangerous but it is also breaching health and safety regulations. If Jolleys carry on like this they will lose so much custom. This seems to be happening a lot at the moment, it seems to be the same members of staff that are left alone to run a shop by themselves it is outrageous! There are many times where I will go into the shop and I will see the same young member of staff who looks no older than 18 trying to do 100 things at once with no assistance especially on the till I personally find that this goes against numerous health and safety guidlines, I am extremely curious to how this shop is still running even with the mistreatment of staff. Why are there no managers present on shop floor? How is this behavior allowed in the workplace? Why is nothing being done about this? I believe these are all questions that should be asked. I have many children of my own and if I was ever made aware of them working in a shop that has no care for their staff I would be absolutely furious!!! Do better Jollyes.

trying to refund in this shop is a Nightmare !! Wanted to return dog harness and was told by girl on till I Had to wait for a manager and was left to wait for a while. girl on till kept apologising but wasnt her fault. Finally manager came down they did not care did not even apologise for the wait. this happened before with a refund and I thought it was rude then . Not had to deal with this in any other jollies !

Widnes store Nearly all the live insects are dead the earthworms are moldy when mentioned it to staff they say oh well. They just dont seem to care.
Runcorn store. Staff are amazing so helpful and they check the live bugs daily never a problem for them.

Staff were very helpful and helped me get everything I needed.

Went into jolleys as I just got a new puppy and wanted some advice about what treats to get as I haven't had a puppy before since my other dog is a rescue. There was no staff at the till so I waited there for a few minutes as sometimes they come when they see you there but nobody was coming down. Had a look around myself and found what I needed but was then left at the till for another few minutes with no staff yet again so I looked for a staff member and noticed one young lad who was occupied with another customer further down the store but could not find any other member of staff in the store so he seemed to be on his own. When he was finally able to come to the till he apologised for the wait, I asked him if he was alone and he said no his manager was upstairs but I have noticed this with this store a few times I have been in that staff is always busy or left alone to run the store by themselves and customers are left waiting at the till, whilst I understand its not the member of staff's fault it just seems really unprofessional and I don't think I'll continue shopping here.

Lovely assistant, he was friendly polite and helpful.

Great variety of products at reasonable prices. My three dogs are particularly keen on the ham bones! Staff are always friendly and helpful.
