Excellent service!

From start to finish, the experience with John Davidson was fantastic. I ordered a brisket and short ribs to smoke on my Pro Q Frontier as I had wanted to try it for a very long time.

Despite there being a hiccup with the delivery (DPD's fault!) my parcel arrived within 48 hours of dispatch and was frozen solid still! Really well packaged and the choice of packing and cooling packs had kept the products in a perfect frozen state.

I called as I was a little nervous and John was a real pleasure to speak to and was patient and kind. Couldn't ask for a better experience and will be putting my next order in very soon (once I have got a bigger freezer!!).

Ordered from Davidsons multiple times, mostly for the smoker. Placed an order in December which was due for delivery on a Friday. Issues with courier and they did not deliver until Sunday, by which time all the meat had defrosted. Whilst I am happy to refreeze meat, it seriously affects the quality. Emailed customer service, no acknowledgment or response! Poor customer service, same reason I stopped using Farmison; all good until something goes wrong! I’ll stick to HG Walter, excellent quality with a London expected service.

The quality of the product is such that once tasted you would not go back to supermarket meat. The black pudding and haggis is really special flavour and texture.

Perishable meat delivery left unattended in a communal area but recorded as “received by concierge”. I only discovered it days later and had to discard it. Despite evidence, the vendor declined responsibility. Disappointing outcome after being a repeat customer since Feb 2025.

I ordered the Scottish Breakfast pack - it was amazing! Excellent quality and traditional items. I ordered a second one for my dad for Xmas. Would recommend.

Ordered a 5kg black rock xm gold brisket on saturday, arrived on tuesday. Cooked it wednesday. Beautiful. Dont have a pic of the finished product as it escaped my mind while eating it. Well worth the money.

I found that their sausages and stir fry is the very best, top quality pork and beef products also. I have been using their shop in Elgin for 2 years.

One of the best experiences we've had attempting to buy Venison from Scotland, specifically Red Deer Haunch Roast. The other foods available from John Davidsons are also just as amazing. Order processing and shipping are reliable and quick. All our foods were in well packaged with dry ice which was still active when the packages arrived.
