Is Jobs for Editors still working and still live? Do they still recruit editors? They had closed the editing project in 2021 during the Covid period. Can anyone please clarify whether they are still currently recruiting editors in 2025 and how good or bad is their service? Any editors currently working with them may also please reply. Many thanks in advance
Avoid at any cost. They expect everything and they give nothing. English is not my native language, but still, I have an MA in Translation and I expected better payment. Obviously here, it does not matter. You will be paid with 2-3 usd maximum per hour or per day if you are lucky. They ask commitment like at least 10 tests per week, you have to pass a lot of training. All a waste of time. And when you start being quick so you can earn something more than 5 usd throughout the day, or you do not correct enough mistakes, they are making complaints. I would not have any expectations with this payment. Something weird is going on with company. Don't fall for the fake professionalism.

I think JobsForEditors is an excellent working and earning platform. Happy to be a part of it.
The team was really helpful every time I have needed assistance over the past 2 years I have worked with them.
Great company for starting your freelance editing career.
This site is really genuine and honest! I really appreciate this service! Very appreciated 👍👍
After substantial research on whether I should apply to this company what I find the most strangest is that almost over 90% of the reviews on Trustpilot and Glassdoor, which have 5 stars, are all written in terrible English. If Jobs for Editors are working principally on editing and managing English documents then how on earth are all these people leaving reviews not able to write in correct English? Unless it is the same person writing all the reviews...which it very much looks like. Plus the review responses from Jobs for Editors are also full of incorrect sentence structures and bad English....very much like the people who are leaving the reviews...hmmm! The pay looks below minimum wage too..if that! I would stay away if I were you...looks very scammy!

A conscientious alert to would-be editors considering work with this fraudulent co.: *Don't*.
An HR staffer, only revealing their first name, cordially replied to my work opp. query with an invitation to submit my cv. I responded in kind with my job app for an editor post. Immed., I smelled a scam when I opened the staffer's email the next day stating no such positions existed within the co.'s current or foreseeable hiring structure. They would, however, be placing suckers, err..., hires in managing editor roles. A quick run down of what JFE offers the employee at this "managerial" level puts things in perspective:
* >=40 hours/week - 350 pages/month - $1000/month
* 35-40 hours/week - 300 pages/month - $800/month
* 25-30 hours/week - 200 pages/month - $500/month
No degreed working-age editor-proofreader from a native English-speaking country works for that kind of peanuts. If they do, they are shams not unlike JFE. Incidentally, the co. has been trolling the reaches of cyberspace to post fake glowing reviews. Don't fall for it.

Great Experience with this....by brother recommended this to me
My experience is great, for now I'm satisfied, my recommendation to everyone for cooperation.
I have only good things to say about them 😁. Overall, was a perfect experience for me. Keep up the good job.
I have been dealing with them just over a month. So far so good.
This has to be the strangest editing work I have ever come across. Apart from the ethical concerns already voiced, the company is so far up its own backside that it is a wonder it ever comes out.
It appears that Jobs For Editors will hire anyone to write, with the standard of the articles the worst I have ever come across; however, when it comes to hiring editors, the company suddenly becomes pretentious and insists that you jump through hoops and demonstrate more advanced editing skills than I have ever come across in all my years in the industry.
This means that the editing is a long and arduous process, which would be fine if the remuneration was fair; unfortunately, it isn't. The editor takes a percentage of the writer's fee, depending on how much editing is required, up to a maximum of 50 per cent. This means the writer can get the same fee for producing a sow's ear as the editor can for turning it into a silk purse.
I am at a loss as to how anyone can think the editing fees are fair or would be willing to work for such a pittance. Perhaps all the favourable reviews are from the writers who get paid to write rubbish - perhaps this is something I should try.
