For over 30 years, JG Wentworth has served thousands of customers who want to achieve financial freedom. Recognized as USA Today’s Most Trusted Brand (2026) and a USA Today Top Workplace (2024–2026), we’re proud to deliver solutions people can rely on. Whether you owe money or are owed money, we can help you meet your financial goals.
If you’re owed money
You may know about our structured settlement program from our famous, operatic jingle—but did you know that in addition to buying structured settlement payment streams in exchange for lump sums, we also purchase annuity payments, lottery prizes, and casino winnings?
At JG Wentworth, we believe that you should be able to access the money owed to you now, not later, and we have a solution for anyone who wants to receive their payments upfront. If you have a payment stream, we’ll purchase some or all of your future payments for the best price, guaranteed. In return, you’ll receive a lump sum payment when you need it—instead of getting it on someone else’s schedule. We make the process as simple and stress-free as possible for our customers, offering excellent customer service and answering all your questions as we go.
If you owe money
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your debt, we can help. JG Wentworth’s debt relief program allows customers to lower their debt while repaying it fast, with many of our customers graduating from the program in just 2-4 years.
Here’s how it works: when you call us, you’ll speak with one of our certified debt specialists so we can get an idea of what you owe, what type of debt you have, and what your options are. Together, we create a personalized program to repay your debt and help you set aside money each month into a dedicated savings account. Meanwhile, we negotiate with your creditors on your behalf to lessen the total amount of debt you owe, staying connected with you each time we successfully negotiate a lower amount. We treat our debt relief program like a partnership, offering support to all current and graduated clients.
A name you can trust
At JG Wentworth, we value transparency and remain committed to giving each of our customers a great experience. As a USA Today Most Trusted Brand (2026) and Top Workplace (2024–2026), we continue to put our customers first. Money matters can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to help you understand your options and achieve your financial goals.

If I could give this incompetent and crooked organization - (negative) 5 stars I would surely do it. Just so readers find out the truth about JG Wentworth's fraudulent and negligent schemes before enrolling in their debt resolution program, I am providing this experience as a follow up to my last review of this organization and to expose JG Wentworth's false statement in their reply to the negative review where they apologized for the bad experience and to contact them to work out a simple and satisfactory resolution to make the experience good instead of bad. I contacted them at least 4 times and nothing was done, nothing resolved, no return of my funds, just the same crooked schemes and answers as before claiming I owed them money. Luckily I was able to stop 2 payments from getting transferred to them with help from my bank and their fraud department. As I mentioned in previous reviews, JGW's avaricious agenda of taking unearned funds is the most important reason why anybody looking to enroll in a debt resolution program DO NOT USE JG WENTWORTH, avoid them at all costs. Even after finally cancelling my account and after stealing the last $.94 (94 cents) in my escrow account, knowing that they would never get any funds from my personal account ever again they became desperate and chose to extract another $414.14 from my escrow account. Now my account is showing -$404. 85 because the payment account they set up is a different entity apart from JG Wentworth, however they will never get 1 cent from my personal account that was funding the escrow account but I'm sure I'll be hearing from the institution about the negative balance sometime in the near future. Basically you definitely want to stay away from JG Wentworth at all costs, they are liars, extremely incompetent and selectively negligent in their debt business dealings including but not limited to BAIT and SWITCH tactics that entice innocent folks like me and taking advantage of our naivety. I was originally contacted about getting a pre approved hardship loan to pay off the debts at a much lower interest rate which made sense and would save me $1000s in interest payments over the term of the loan, but all of a sudden I couldn't get approved. That's when the smooth and fast talking sales pitch came about with urgency and pressure tactics stressing time sensitive windows of opportunity to get in the program. Now my credit is destroyed, my income streams are minimal, I'm getting bombbarded with harassing calls, texts, letters and emails while me and my little boy struggle to make ends meet because of this garbage organization JG Wentworth and their garbage personnel. I'll stop at this point due to feeling extremely nauseous after reliving this nightmare of a situation.
I'm still open to initiate a class action lawsuit and encourage anybody who fell victim to this questionable organization to contact me and join in the endeavor of getting our funds returned with statutory interest, punitive damages as well as emotional distress compensation.
PS. I have proof of everything I have stated in this review.
Hope to hear from more of you who suffered at the hands of JG Wentworth on jegind9atgmaildotcom..

This was sold to me as a debt "consolidation" program while i was looking for a "loan" to do so..they acted as if that was the case and said not to worry of my payments to creditors! And pay one bill to them instead..thankfully i didnt trust them and you certainly should not💯.This program is not for people with great credit..or thoes who pay their bills! It only for people that have already ruined their credit. IF YOU HAVEN'T THEY WILL!.. I HAVE REQUESTED A CANCELATION AND RETURN OF FUNDS. I WILL UPDATE YOU IF THEY ARE THIEVES AS WELL AS LIARS...UPDATE I HAD TO PUT A STOP PAYMENT AND WAS TOLD EVERYTHING WILL BE VOIDED. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRATICES!
It was way more simple than I imagined! I was nervous being that it was my first time consolidating credit cards. I felt at complete ease with great news on the interest rate. It was the reason I hesitated to reach out. When I would reach out the interests rates were so high with other companies. I would also ask about scams and they would never contact me back. I guess I could assume they were scam companies. I am thankful for the promptness and such an easy transition.
