Definitely recommended

Read a few reviews of this place and I can disagree more. I guess don't sign up for a locked-in contract and try to quit before it's finished! Jetts is clean, the staff are exceptionally friendly, and the trainers know their stuff and most importantly ... the Jetts gyms are all air conditioned!

Indifferent customer support, buggy app

Jetts makes you use their app to gain entrance, it's a bit of a hassle to fiddle with a phone, if it wasn't buggy though I'd be OK. But it sometimes logs you out for no reason, takes lots more fiddling. Then I bought a new phone, app is unable to register a 'new device', won't let me in to the club. Support has appeared clueless and unmotivated and eventually suggested I should BUY a special tag to replace the phone app.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A CONTRACT…

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A CONTRACT WITH THESE GREEDY PRICKS. IN FACT DON'T SIGN UP FULLSTOP. Jetts SUCKS. I only made it to the gym 4 times during the first 6 weeks after joining and I couldnt get out of my contract early even after explaining I was no longer able to use my membership and use the gym. I have been paying for a membership I don't use or need. They were not at all understanding or empathetic when I explained my reason for having to quit early on in my membership, they only cared about money. Has left a sour taste kn my mouth. I'm not surprised they have a low rating and so many negative reviews. BE WARNED ⚠️

Horrible experience

Very expensive to cancel your membership (I was charged over $1000, I had also never been to the gym due to it being very busy.)

You're not allowed to cancel your memberships unless you have been a member for 18 months.

Very restrictive and controlling.

Staff are also extremely unprofessional.

Definitely do not recommend.

Children not allowed inside

Went into Jetts Auckland CBD for the first time after picking up my son from sports. One of the attendants welcomed us and told us where to leave my coat, as i was walking towards the equipment section another attendant came and said that no children were allowed inside the gymn. My son is 12 and has been into every other Jetts gymn inclu our usual Grey Lynn one. He sits and waits for me on a chair, doing homework or reading. Bt the city branch doesnt allow kids inside their branch AT ALL. Even when theyre within visual sight of a parent, and old enough to be able to sit and wait. I DONT RECOMMEND JETTS CBD - no consistency with other branches and why so anal about letting a child inside thats old enough to be able to wait.

Wouldn't recognise my minimum 2 weeks notice period

I am at the end of 18 months contract membership, and I didn't want to renew or have my membership go on any longer than my contracted amount. I gave early notice (about 5 weeks) that I didn't want to renew my membership. It was already difficult to do, as I couldn't just do it via the app, I had to email in. I was told by a person called "Poupa" that I had to give exactly two weeks notice and that early notice would not be accepted. To be clear, I didn't want to cancel my membership early, I just don't want it to automatically renew or extend after the agreed period. This was not accepted.

I have now made a complaint to the commerce commission, and I have scheduled daily "I do not want to continue my membership beyond my existing agreed terms" emails to go out at 2pm until the date of my last payment.

If they try to charge my card after this, I will be reporting them for theft.

If you have had similar experiences with this gym, please report them to the NZ Commerce Commision so that the company is investigated.

Charged despite freezing account while overseas - refund refused

The gym itself was nice enough as were the staff - I put the account on freeze while overseas for a couple of months - I had to do it twice. They charged me the entire time - when i called about it when I came back the woman at the gym confirmed they could see the freeze request and assured me payments team would sort it. Payments team said they spoke to club manager and had no supporting documents (which are in their own app) so no refund.
Cancelled membership and won't be back - I'm sorry I didn't check trust pilot before I will keep reposting this review as a public service as it seems like it is their consistent practice.

This is how you deal with JETTS

Cancel your membership, block your credit card and apply for new ones, or close your bank account entirely. Redirect your income into a different account and don’t respond no matter what—problem solved.

They might send debt collectors and threaten legal action, let them, don’t be bullied into their acts, but here’s what you do: *Ignore them for seven years.* If there’s no communication, the debt is considered uncollectible, and they’ll recover their losses through insurance.

They’ll try to reach you through work emails in an attempt for you to do something—block and delete them. They’ll check every possible platform to contact you, even at the risk of trying damaging your reputation. *DO NOT ENGAGE.*

I canceled my card, applied for a new one and closed my account.

The worst gym ever

The worst gym ever. I cancelled our memberships and they tried to do a debit success fee not once but twice. Had been with this scammy gym for years. Go to city fitness this gym has nothing and treats their workers like garbage (many managers have told me this before they quit). Dirty toilets, basic equipment and terrible business model. Cancelling my bank cards so you can't get another cent. AVOID

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless, managers keep on quitting and my 15 year old son can't get in because they don't issue tags to under 16s and he can only access during staffed hours. They keep taking my money and I can't cancel because there is no accessible customer service either. This is an ongoing issue since early January.

All they care about is your money (also they’re customer service is rude af)

I got injured the day after I started my membership. I was out of fitness for 2 months. I was never even able to collect my gym card or register my account. I Continued to get charged for 2 months without ever even going once. Once I was recovered and ready to start my Jett’s journey and collect my swipe tag, I called up customer service to enquire about my injury and the charges I had only noticed about a week ago. I asked if it was possible to get a refund or account credit for the 7 weeks as I had been injured. All they had to say was “you should have told us this when you first got injured”. The Customer service agent was rude, insincere, and honestly a right prick. So I immediately told him to cancel my membership. But wait there’s more! You have to give them two weeks notice if you want to cancel it! What a joke, it’s a gym not a job! It’s a shame really because I was quite excited to try a new gym but looks like I’m going back to City Fitness again lol.

PAYMENT POLICY IS HORRENDOUS! Yes it is business yet you are providing the common man the facility atleast do not try to loot money

Regarding the facility provided, I think it was satisfactory for me. If you are looking for guided training or professional training, I suggest trying their free trial first. However, please note that once you are on a minimum-term contract, it is very difficult to opt out. I had to relocate to a location where jetts weren't available. Despite offering them evidence of my employment, address, payslips, etc, Jetts refused to terminate my contract. When it comes to the minimum term contract, it is pure business, and there is no humanitarian basis. Especially if you are planning for a long-term contract such as their 18-month one. You will have to pay the pending balance in the contract before you can cancel the contract. Be very careful before signing into it, and MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL THE SMALL PRINTS.

Horrible payment policy…

Horrible payment policy…. If you’re late with your payment they won’t give you any time to fix it they immediately charge you a penalty and they don’t even let you know that the payment didn’t go through… and then if you don’t pay then penalize but not when someone is not even 2 days late they penalize you $10 extra
