Somehow they approved me for the quote…

Somehow they approved me for the quote that I wasn’t qualified for. After 4 months of working and paying diligently for Progressive insurance, the insurance company increased premium price and asked for amount due!

Even though it was Jerry’s fault that they approved me for the quote. Had to pay up 331$ extra just to not have problems with referral agencies. Tried to speak with Jerry agents for days, just to get an answer that it was my fault, but somehow was approved for the quote that wasn’t even qualified for!

If you want to get insurance quotes, just do this directly with insurance companies. Not with the Jerry!

After reviewing the history on your account, the quote process included changes to a key rating detail. That information was edited more than once by yourself as you went through the quoting, and the policy was ultimately issued using the selection that was active at the time you chose to bind coverage. Later, when the carrier completed their standard verification review, they adjusted the premium to reflect the correct rating factor based on your record. That adjustment was made by the insurance company based on underwriting guidelines, not by Jerry approving something you didn’t qualify for.

When you contacted us in February, our team explained what caused the increase and processed your cancellation request promptly. We’re sorry if any of that communication felt unclear or delayed.

Insurance pricing can change over time, and the best way to keep costs in check is to compare quotes regularly to make sure you’re still getting a competitive rate. That’s something we’re built to help with, and we’re always here to help you shop and review options, should you decide to trust us again.

I paid my auto insurance 6 mos at a…

I paid my auto insurance 6 mos at a time and towards the 6th month of coverage was reqouted with the same coverage prior to policy end date. I elected to renew with the re-quote and purchase it 3 days prior to policy end date. Well there are supposed to inform the former carrier of cancellation but did not do so because I have a cancellation fee in which the former carrier of policy put on collection.
Called and chat but no help and all they said it’s the carrier who charged me the cancellation fees.
What happened with them reaching out to the carrier to cancel the policy.
What a dishonest company. Now I have to deal with this collection.

After reviewing your policy, it appears the prior Aspire policy was canceled mid-term rather than at renewal. When a policy is canceled before the end of its term, the carrier may apply a standard mid-term cancellation fee, which is outlined in their policy terms. This fee is set and charged by the carrier, not by Jerry.

That said, we understand why this feels upsetting. We should have made the implications of a mid-term cancellation clearer. As a courtesy, we’re reaching out to Aspire to see if there’s any possibility of an exception, though we can’t promise the outcome.

BUYER BEWARE: Using the Jerry App to find the best insurance rates opens a pandora box of whip ass. To use it, you have to give the app permission to access your Google maps data. Hi there, we want to clarify a few important points. Jerry does not access your Google Maps data or driving history without your permission. Our feature, DriveShield, allows users to track their driving through an optional telematics program. If the score is favorable, and only then, it can be shared with a carrier if it qualifies the customer for a discount. This feature is completely optional and requires explicit opt-in. It is not required to compare or purchase insurance.

We understand that rising insurance rates are frustrating. Unfortunately, higher premiums are an industry-wide trend right now, driven largely by increased repair costs and broader market conditions. Jerry is a licensed insurance agent, which means we do not set prices ourselves. Insurance rates are determined by each carrier based on their own underwriting models and long-term rating factors such as claims history, location, vehicle details, and overall market data.

Jerry.ai found the cheapest Rate $5,840.60/6 mo MORE expensive than Mine.

I have a clean Lifetime DMV record in NY State. I have been driving for 54 Years. I drive Less than 600 Miles per month. I have a Credit score of over 800.
My Insurance came renewable and I'm Angry that my rates have steadily gone up over the last 7 years I've been with this insurance company. It is NOW $994/6 Months.
I go through ALL of the hoops Develging all of the personal and sensitive information, Including Matching the exact coverage I currently have on my New 2025 Car.
Jerry.ai Agent on the Phone came back with the CHEAPEST Auto insurance for 6 Months was $6,834.60!
WHAT A FREAKING SCAM JUST TO GET ALL OF YOUR PERSONAL MARKETING DATA.
I've gone individually to some of the insurance companies Jerry.ai lists as using; but their quotes were still $50 - $100 more expensive than my $994; HOWEVER, Jerry.ai is $5,840.60 MORE FREAKING EXPENSIVE FOR A 6 MONTH POLICY OVER MY $994.

Avoid at all costs

Got Jerry under the impression that it would find the cheapest renters insurance for me. Once I got the insurance advertised, I hoped to get a confirmation of coverage so that I could move into the apartment the next day. After countless chats with bots telling me that it would take 2-3 business days to get th declaration (for a policy that started that same day), I finally got the declaration . The problem was that it listed the wrong address for the landlord. Fed up, I went and independently searched some major players for insurance, and the first company I got a quote with (State Farm) offered a quote that would be 2/3 the price of my policy with Jerry, and it promised it would give a confirmation that same day, and it sure did. Honestly, I’m pretty disgusted with Jerry, the marketing is misleading, impossible to get ahold of an agent, the coverage is expensive, I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

Both of my policies they kept making…

Both of my policies they kept making mistakes including not signing the policy which cause it to almost get cancelled. The chat bot is annoying and stupid not giving accurate responses. Second policy mistake cost me $$ . Agents you do get on the phone give conflicting info and need better training. I’m avoiding this outfit.
