Their real objective clearly isn’t what they advertise. Instead of helping genuine people connect and build relationships, they seem to do everything possible to make that process harder

Disabling the search function is a perfect example. Who thought that was a good idea? It's the most helpful thing on legitimate sites, i.e. AFFmilf.com
That’s exactly how I met my previous partner — by using a detailed and advanced search system to find someone truly compatible. On Jdate, that option is basically gone now. Instead, users are expected to keep extending expensive subscriptions month after month without seeing any meaningful results.
At some point, enough is enough. JDate has completely lost touch with what made dating platforms useful in the first place.

Scammers and fake profiles run rampant on Jdate

Some women look truly gorgeous, but it’s all a seductive fantasy because neither of them is genuine. Neither of them wants to meet. Not to toot my own horn but I don’t have problems going on dates through SexyAFF.com
and some other legit sites, but Jdate just doesn’t work this way. They have another “business model”: lots of fake identities and photos of sexy women and lots of bots to lure you into subscribing. Then they renew your subscription without even asking you and make you jump through rings of fire to cancel it. In my case it ended with me having to cancel my bank card.

POOR

POOR. They modified their offering so that YOU CANNOT SEARCH. You can only give your preferences. Then, every day or so, they feed you just a couple of profiles THAT THEY SELECT. Thus, they LIMIT you so that you prolong your membership. AVOID IT, is my advice.

A waste of money

A waste of money. The worst customer service. Just don't do it. Spent money with this company which provided no benefit for me and I got billed even though I requested a cancellation. There's no reason to use them for dating.

JDate Run dont Walk

JDate , what happened i was on years ago , it was a pretty good site , now all the profiles are old and stale, you can like a 100 people but never get an answer , Typical greedy owners taking peoples money and not delivering a product. Sad really , I'm going to try and call it a fraud on my credit card. Total shame website

No promised refund

I canceled my renewal membership at least a week before it was scheduled to renew. Their system failed to pick this up (their app is miserable). I filed a dispute. JDate told me that if I canceled the dispute, they would refund me. I did, got a letter from my credit card company confirming this, which I attached in correspondence with them. They told me that they are waiting to receive notification directly from my credit card company. It has been nearly two months.

I simply cannot believe this company.

Shittiest UI ever anywhere

Shittiest app I have used from a user experience perspective. It deserves to be be blocked from all app stores. I got blocked from the app five minutes after starting the payment system doesn’t work. The password reset doesn’t work. There’s no response from them and they say they’ll get back to you in 48 hours who has 48 hours to wait on an app it’s just pathetic. Its interface was made in 1998 never changed. I’m ashamed that this has a J in front of it. I’m ashamed of the app and ashamed of the people who work there

Used to be great, not now

I have been a member of Jdate for several years. When I first started people told me how great this website was and it turned out to be true...BACK THEN. I met many people. You could see who was online, send and receive messages and instant messages, I thought their website was great. Now they changed the design and I don't like it. You can not see who is online. And they send you selected members who you can "Like." If they respond, then and only then can you send them a message. It went from great to horrible

Two New Designs This Year: 1) Bad and 2) Worse

Jdate has designed and launched two separate major user interface changes in less than one year. Each modification has made the platform progressively less user-friendly and has taken away user freedom and control to the point that the Jdate developers and the algorithm limit who, what, and when you will see any potential matches. The search function is GONE (i.e. you cannot search the profiles of Jdate subscribers. You can only see who Jdate decides to show you). The message function is GONE (unless both subscribers say that they like each other). While city names are posted, the states those cities are in are not displayed, what's displayed is: city country. After both platform changes, any contacts to customer service were responded to with the boilerplate: "We understand adapting to a new look can be difficult...." (i.e. it's you, not us). If you're hoping to "look" for someone to date, you can't do that. You just have to "hope" that the Jdate algorithm displays someone who you might match with. Good luck. You probably will have better luck throwing a coin into a fountain.

Awful website/awful Customer Service

I was trying to sign up for this service and filled in the questions when I suddenly got an error message and was asked to login again, so I tried to login again. It kept saying that my session had expired. I closed the app, reopened it and tried again to login again I was told my session had expired. I finally contacted the helpdesk, I explained what happened, and without addressing my experience at all their response was that they had discovered some inconsistencies in my profilethat my profile had been blocked and asking for copies of my ID, including my passport. This was very odd since I had not even been asked to provide my name in the questions I had responded to??? Very very strange I told them to keep my profile blocked! I wouldn’t be using their service. I did get another email separate email from Jay date saying they would check into what happened on the website… Very very confusing. Glad I didn’t give them my money!
Very disappointed!

I would give a ZERO If I could!

I would give a ZERO If I could!! I do not use my first name on my profile. Instead I use any name that I decide to use on Jdate . They BLOCKED Me. They want me to publish my first name on my profile.

They asked me to send them my drivers license to prove my name .So trusting me did that and they did not reply to me.
They can not be trusted at all.

They take profiles that have expired or have been abandoned and they keep them as current profiles. It seems that their profiles are current people who are looking for love. They fill in their web site with deleted profiles where customers did not take themselves of Jdate when their subscription ended..

They help themselves to your credit card information and hope that you do not cancel your subscription when it ends. They take additional months costs if they can.

Unsuspecting people who are looking for true love. Most of the profiles are not real that you see when you log into the Jdate site. They are abandoned profiles that the customers stopped their subscription and forget to delete themselves when their membership expired...
There are many more other honest sites that do not take advantage of their customers Run away!!!!
