JBL agent rude and unhelpful

My JBL ear buds won't go into pairing mode. The ear buds work as they were paired to my old phone, but when I got a new phone, they won't go into pairing mode. I called JBL and was basically told "too bad" because they're out of warranty. The agent refused to let me speak to a manager. I told him I didn't expect a new pair, but a credit toward a new pair would be nice since they're only a few years old and I've taken very good care of them.

Bought JBL 770nc headphones in may went…

Bought JBL 770nc headphones in may went to put them on and snapped at the joint very thin plastic. Got in touch with JBL to be told not covered poor customer service, I would have expected this to fall under design fault they weren’t misused and they want me to buy new once. I won’t be good sound etc but very thin plastic I would avoid these to be fair I will be going back to beats not much more and much better customer service.

Just order some JBL speakers

Just order some JBL speakers,
On June 09 and the order was with my old address so I looked and canceled in 1 hour , call the customer support and cancel the order they say will send me a confirmation email , we went back and forward with emails they say takes 24 hours to cancel .
That’s ok I explain is the wrong address cancel plis .

They shipped anyways for the wrong address.

PayPal doesn’t want me to refund my money and I never get the product .
JBL customer support never answers me back with a refund or send me replacement product for my actual address .
So disappointing avoid buying from this brand so horrible customer support I fell scammed

JBL customer service is just the worst

JBL customer service is just the worst. I am on my second pair of earbuds that won’t charge. Despite this being well documented on the internet and social media they make you jump through so many hoops to get a repair done it’s unreal. No reply to emails and when you call the staff are useless. Don’t buy JBL products as they fail and aftercare is non existent.

JBL? NEVER AGAIN

I bought a JBL soundbar in dec 2022 450$. It was a regular use for home. The model was SB190, Recently, 2 years and a half later, it's no longer working and there is no way to fix it except by changing the whole motherboard. I bought a refurbished one too SB580. It worked for 2 weeks and then BAM, same thing. I knew I had registered my product SB190 as I still have the email confirmation for the registration. When I click on the link to get to my account, I get an error message. Then, when I access the website with my credentials, nothing in my product. Wow! Good job for erasing my product from my portal.
You can be sure never again I will buy a JBL product or even Harman Kardon. NEVER.

Order unfulfilled

Placed an order and received confirmation showing delivery time 1-2 days. 5 days later the order status remained as pending, so I used live chat to query. Was told my item was "waiting to be picked at the delivery depot and should be out in next few days". I was unhappy that it still hadn't been dispatched and then annoyed to receive an email minutes later informing me that my order had been cancelled due to stock issues and a refund would be issued. Not impressed. The website indicated that the item was in stock when I placed my order and payment was taken and I received no notification that my item was unavailable until I contacted the company. Were they just going to keep me hanging? Very unimpressed with the service. Was offered a goodwill discount off my next purchase, but now dubious about placing another order.

JBL Wave 200 buds just awful quality

I bought JBL Wave 200 wireless earbuds. Labelled as “deep bass” they are tinnier than the cheapest mono earphones from the 1960s. The changeable bud tips made no difference. The pods don’t pair properly so only one works. The magnets in the charging box are so strong it’s hard to get the pods out. The app that is supposed to improve sound doesn’t work on an iPhone 13. I couldn’t even give them away. Waste of money.

Absolutely disgusting customer service

Absolutely disgusting service from the customer support team. Item has failed 33 days after purchase and they want to repair it...for an item that cost nearly £400, a repair!!, that's hilarious. Don't touch JBL with a bargepole, shop elsewhere.

worst support experience ever…

i tried ringing the company multiple times,couldnt get any answer ,would not connect or ring out,i tried the chat section multiple times ,i tried to explain the problem then the chat would drop out.I had them email on a fix and when it didnt work they would not respond to my answer.

Placed an order directly with JBL

Placed an order directly with JBL, confirmation email indicated 1-2 days delivery, day 5 and order still pending, called customer services to be bluntly told it is delayed and might be soon, when asked politely could you be more specific, the customer agent repeated what they just said, I mentioned that their response was not good enough. So asked again politely when or how long, the agent sucked their teeth and said oh My God! And repeated that the order was delayed. Asked to talk with someone else who could help and was refused. If this is indicative of their products, I will never again buy from JBL.

FRAUD WARNING

I ordered replacement ear pad cushions. They intentionally send me two cushions with marking "L" (Left). There is no other markings in the earphones.

At first they pretended that this was only a mistake - human error. Then one of the customer agents admitted that this was not at all mistake. They rely that customers don't bother to complain. If you want refund you have to send replacement cushions back.

2 orders, first delayed, second got lost, with unhelpful customer service

Updated July 2nd 2025:
JBL make you believe you get an order within 1-2 working days. Yet, they don't even manage to ship the product out within 21 hours. I ordered twice from them. The first order arrived a few days late, which was not great but OK. I ordered from them again, as they had a very good discount offer. I placed the order on 22/6, it was shipped out on 24/6 and got stuck/lost somewhere on 25/6. Now we have the 2/7, and I have been in contact with customer service multiple times. They just sent me the tracking information and keep telling me to wait. Speaking to a manager is not possible. They could not tell me how long I needed to wait until they either found the package or decided it got lost and send it out again.

Customer service needs constant chasing and even then not much seems to happen. Not sure how this will end...

Truly awful customer service

Truly awful customer service. I returned a product under the 30 day rule and it got stuck in customs in the Netherlands for over a month. JBL support never once took an action without my prompting them and didn't even chase UPS for an explanation until it had been stuck for a month. They finally wrapped up their shocking communication by paying me my money back after 6 weeks but not bothering to give me the good news - the one time you'd think they'd want to reach out.

From 1 to 5 Star

I deleted my prior 1 star and updated to this 5 star review. I was pissed that Walmart wouldn't refund/exchange my Tour 1 M2 headphones and I had to return them personally. Walmart deserves the 1 star not JBL. I received the new ones in about 2 weeks, they sound incredible with the noise canceling feature a real stand out. Ericson Consumer were prompt to answer all emails and processed my return quickly.

Jbl tec support 5-9-25 called tech support n I talked to David n he solved my problem I have a Jbl pro n Jbl 915 hard wired to an eon 15 ! He was knowledgeable n professional n most importantly patient! YES he fixed my problem! Thank you JBL ! Anyone thinking about buying Jbl products just look at this review they are for real!

Terrible customer service

Purchased some headphones from JBL about 9 weeks ago for running (Endurance Peak Pro 3). Cost about £70 so not totally cheap. Have been using them moderately for about 6 weeks. They sounded pretty decent, but then one of the earbuds completely stopped charging. Instead of just replacing them promptly they instead want me to send them to a repair centre which takes 3-4 weeks lol! There is no means of complaining about this and simply nothing that can be done apparently? Just the way it is. JBL did assure me that the repairs will be carried out with the upmost care and attention. Unlike the building of the headphones in the first place unfortunately. Bigger companies should be better than this.

Perfect headphones

I've had the 710 BT JBL headphones for at least 5 years without them breaking or having any sort of issue. That continues to this day without any issues. They do a great job at canceling noise so I can focus.
