Best courses available

I have purchased quite a few of Jamie’s courses and find them perfect for me and my level of experience. I’ve spent years learning songs form various YouTube tutorials but never really got them spot on. Since learning with Jamie’s courses I have come on leaps and bounds. The emphasis on dynamics and right hand rhythm makes all the difference and the note for note teaching you can’t get from tabs. I only hope he brings out a few new songs soon (perhaps some of the heavier Hendrix).

Very detailed precise courses

Very detailed precise courses. You will learn how to play like Hendrix, Mayer and co. There are no tutorials on Youtube or online that compare to Jamies.

Excellent guitar courses

Excellent guitar courses. I have bought at least 4 of these courses and have loved them all. Not only is Jaime a fantastic guitarist, he explains what he's doing exceptionally well, and is otherwise thorough in his approach. If you are trying to get into his style of playing, you can't go wrong with his courses.

Worth EVERY PENNY!

Firstly, I studied music in college and played for many houses of worship throughout my state. I’ve been looking for guidance on how to learn this style of playing since 2008. Back then YouTube was great but it wasn’t what it is today. Even so, with no real structured guidance it has been a long nightmare incorporating it into my toolkit as I play so many different styles.

Meat and Potatoes!
-These courses cut out clutter and show YOU what you NEED to know.
- NOT overloaded with music theory, just enough for you to know and understand what you need to do.
- Simple, Clean, and SUPER Organized.
- Detailed with all the subtle nuances you would usually miss when even “learning a song by watching a live up close recording of a performance.”
— To add to this point, even the emphasis of DYNAMICs on specific strings while moving up and don’t chords is amazing.

This is the BEST course I have paid for so far and I’m so happy that I finally found it.

If you are looking to become a heavy metal shredding animal, this might not be for you. But, if you are looking for ways to add REAL taste and flavor to your playing, this is completely worth it.

When approached the right way, you won’t just be learning some of your favorite songs. This course really teaches you how to expand on the way you phrase and express yourself through you guitar. Isn’t that the dream of every musician? I know it’s mine. And the grind never stops! There’s always more to learn.

Take a stab it at least one course of a song cover that you love. You WILL NOT regret it.

A real breakthrough thanks to Jamie Harrison

I have had a real breakthrough using thumb over technique and I am definitely indebted to Jamie Harrison for much of that improvement! Despite a significant thumb impediment/injury, Jamie responded to personally encourage me. The no pressure satisfaction guarantee made it a no brainer. I think it took me only two sittings to breeze through the course. Deceptively simple, Jamie’s course nevertheless gave me some straightforward fundamentals and a roadmap for my continued development with that technique. I don’t have large hands and even with a tricky thumb I have been able to improve and expand options for my playing. Thanks to greater range and possibilities for chording I have diminished pain and extended stamina. Jamie offered just the right direction that I needed to keep building this skill.

The Best of the Best

I've purchased 3 of Jamie's courses over the past year or so, and can confidently say that they transformed my playing tremendously. I'd personally recommend getting Bold As Love as your first course, since it especially emphasizes the technical skills of which all his lessons are based on.

Hands down the best guitar lessons I’ve had

Hands down the best guitar lessons I’ve experienced. Jamie not only teaches you the notes of the songs but more importantly he teaches you how to put that emotion and soul into it. He teaches you all of those techniques that make a huge difference when playing. Eg. the importance of the strumming/picking hand which in my experience has always been overlooked. Jamie also talks about the theory behind the songs which is so much more meaningful than just copying a song note for note. I haven’t found that anywhere else. It is well worth the small investment and I highly recommend his courses if you want to make big leaps in your guitar playing.

Jamie's John Mayer Course

I bought Jamie's course to play John Mayer's "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" with his twist. It helped me elevate my guitar skills because I could play the notes with a free Youtube video but it sounded boring. Some of Jamie's parts were a little bit confusing but that's what videos are for. They are there for you to replay as many times as you want and I'm pretty sure once you purchase a course you keep it forever hopefully rather a subscription so 10/10 experience.

Jamie’s courses are great!

Jamie’s courses are great!! Easy to understand, easy to follow (not so easy to play, but I’m working on it!) and a great resource for those of us who seek the next level of playing. I have several courses now and plan to purchase all of them.

Life changing lessons

Right off the bat Jamie has changed my life, and how I play. Not only does he reach out to people he has never met (me), but he has responded to multiple emails I have sent him personally. With all he does with his web site, his own original music, he has also auctioned off a beautiful guitar and sent the proceeds to the Ukraine during their time of need. I really do not have enough great things to say about this man. I have never met Jamie nor received anything for this review. Now with that out of the way I would like to tell you a little about my experience with Jamie.
I started playing guitar in my 30’s after career ending injury. I had taken almost two years of lessons in person with zero results and wanted to break my guitar and just scream. After two years I never learned one song! I just couldn’t connect with my instructor, at $24 for 30 minutes I had a lot invested and didn’t want to give up. I took two other online courses, still struggled, but then I saw Jamie playing Gravity on YouTube and my heart skipped a beat. I looked up his lesson, paid and made a promise to learn this song before I die. As time passed I played every day non stop and was addicted immediately.
His lessons are so amazing, because they are split up into short videos. The shorter videos makes it feel as if your meeting a goal. He has an awesome set up, because as you finish a video you check it off, and see a percentage of the song you have learned. Long story short I learned Gravity, but it sounded nothing like his beautiful way of playing. With more practice I became a lot more smooth, but that’s different for every person playing. Now the cool thing was Jamie stated in one of his videos that just because you can play the song and put your hands where they need to go by watching him doesn’t mean you know what you’re doing. That made a lot of sense to me because I would have to slow down videos over and over to see where his hands were because I didn’t understand the fretboard. Even after all the lessons I took it didn’t make sense to me until I started Reverse engineering every move he made to understand the chords in the notes being played together. And whether the cords were a major or minor, ninth chord, seventh chord along with inverted cords. I took the time and learned all of them, due to jamie I understand the entire fretboard and every note on it. I can recall every note anywhere on the front board.
To me personally the most important part that I learned out of all the videos was the CAGED system. Now this changed my life. I started learning all the cords after learning the cage system, which took me a long time because I didn’t understand the fret board. Jamie has another video just on the caged system and he does an awesome job explaining it and ever since I bought his lessons I can make my own music, and now when I’m trying to learn a new song I pick them up a lot faster.
Since learning gravity I then switched got the everything bundle at the time, and wanted to learn slow dancing in a burning room. After his lessons and learning the song gravity I picked up on slow dancing very fast. The only part that takes time is to learn the solos in the songs but even now after all his teachings I picked it up pretty fast.
Not a doubt in my mind I probably would’ve given up on guitar if I went to phone jamie‘s page. It actually changed my life and all I do is obsess about music. So what I’m trying to say is that I’m not a smart person and I’ve never been musically gifted in anyway even in school trying to learn the recorder I just pretended to move my fingers correctly and never blew into it. No I’ve been playing the piano for a couple years along with a guitar and actually considerate it to be the biggest accomplishment in my life. During this time, and after losing my career to a in the line of duty injury, Jamie saved my life and has continued to over and over again. It may sound ridiculous, but it’s so true in every way. Thank you Jamie for everything!

I purchased his Aint No Sunshine course…

I purchased his Aint No Sunshine course a while ago and I keep coming back to it. I was impressed by the structure of the course right away. The difficult parts were easy to follow and just in my tempo. If you want an easy song course this isnt the course for you because of the many different technical parts of the song that but if you think you have to skills to learn the song, Jamie Harrisons course is the way to go

Simply great guitar inspiration!

I have been playing guitar for over 40 years and heard so many great players. Jamie is one of those. A genuinely innovative and exciting guitar player with a sound and style all of his own. However, the most impressive element is that Jamie is an even better teacher! Great quality video and audio, breaking down how he plays and arranges guitar driven music. If you don’t benefit significantly as a player from his courses then perhaps you need to choose another instrument. Enjoy!
