Scam Reviews
After reading the 5⭐️ reviews I believe they are all AI generated. Each reviewer is from the USA with only 1 review and the vocabulary is so AI. Wouldn’t believe a word that these 5⭐️ reviews say which given all the other reviews are 1⭐️ suggests the leather shop is a scam
Ahhhh…Pleather
From the moment it arrived and I opened the package, I knew I was inhaling the fresh chemicals of pleather. My faux leather but really cheap vinyl backpack will no doubt accompany me on many a journey until it starts to fall apart, you know, how those fake leather bags start to fall apart and look all poopy. THANKS JAMES ANDREW
Total scam
Total scam . Chinese bags Ai used and not even real . Fake leather . Don’t buy
James Andrew Leather sale on FB is a BS scam.
First of all anything that you purchase on Facebook you must be extremely cautious. This ad popped up with James Andrews leather company going out of business. He looked like a friendly old man who is about to retire and so I thought his bags looked good. The other problem was that they had limited quantity so the colors that I wanted weren’t even available. Even then I would’ve made other choices with such a great discount . I tried to get four different bags that they offered at 30% off if you bought four. Instead, it took off $111 which is not 30% of $529.80. (the proper discount would’ve been $161.94. Add to that the 10% they promised me or even just the additional 5% they offered me and it would’ve been much more than that. So I guess they don’t need my money and I guess that their bags are really just pieces of junk They tried to give me a discount that was not quite 21%. It came out to about 20.6%. Then they offered me a code James5 to get an additional 5% off, which would mean I would get 35% off. When I tried these codes, they told me they were not applicable. I wrote them an email explaining this situation. Soon after I got a text saying that I left things in my cart and they were going to send me 10% off for the items in my cart. Sure enough when I got to my cart, there was no discount it was still over $418. I texted them back and said well I guess you don’t need my money. Now I go on trust pilot and this is what I find. Thank you so much trust pilot because I believe the negative reviews. The good ones are probably working for them...
Chinese scam site
Chinese scam site. Don’t waste your money. Website photos AI.
I realized my mistake in purchasing…
I realized my mistake in purchasing when I saw that the delivery was from China. I knew then that I had been scammed. I was able to claw back 40% of my purchase by threatening to call the web hosting company to make them aware of the scam. If I tried to send it back to China , it would have cost more than I paid for the bag. The bag was nothing like they advertised but we all knew that.
No delivery received
I ordered a month ago just prior to going on a three weeks vacation. I received notice that ordered goods were delivered, When I came back from vacation I had to notice that there was no delivery at all. I am now trying to contact them through their website and wait for their response.
Question: Can I cancel payment through my CC? Advise is appreciated
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS A SCAM. THE PRODUCT DELIVERED LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE WEBSITE. THE QUALITY IS NOT THERE AND I AM SURE THE WARRANTY IS NOT WORTH ANYTHING.THEY ALSO EXPECTED ME TO PAY RETURN SHIPPING FOR THEIR MISTAKE. ALSO THE BAG WAS MISSING LEATHER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BAG.
Read these reviews and what you see is…
Read these reviews and what you see is a business powered by dishonest individuals with no conscience. Like the people that work in this company, the leather bag I purchased was a piece of plastic/vinyl POS. These people should be arrested for theft; because that is precisely what they are doing. This is what is wrong with the world. Greed, theft, lying and a lack of a moral compass. Do Not Buy from these people.
False Advertising, Poor quality
I ordered an expensive leather messenger bag and a leather belt. The ad appeared to be an elderly gentleman going out of business, and the items were claimed to be handcrafted leather. When they arrived, the bag was obviously very poor quality, and the belt they sent was the wrong size. I ordered a 38” belt and they sent a 32”. I attempted to contact the company numerous times and received auto generated email from somewhere in China. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. The company contacted me and did not offer a return, but instead offered a 10% discount on a future order.
the travel bag is nothing like in the ad
the travel bag is nothing like in the ad. Thin leather, poor quality fabrick inside, the straps are too thin for a travel bag. Looks so cheap. The bag is much smaller than the ad. Total waste of money.
Complete scammers, avoid at all costs to avoid regret!
Like everyone who has posted on here, this company is to be avoided at all costs. They are scammers of the highest order and I feel duped big time. Bag was slashed and ruined and they expect me to return to them and pay for shipping. Turns out they are not in USA but China! Second bag was not the bag I ordered (it was not leather and did not look like the bag ordered - completely a cheap bag!) I paid good money but they have ignored my emails, so I will just put this down as a wasted money. WARNING: Do not buy from this company as you will regret as most have done (see reviews).
Snaps on bags don’t fit and fall of…
Snaps on bags don’t fit and fall of when you try to use them. No sure what they are made of but it ain’t leather
I was also scammed
I was also scammed. Material was thin vinyl not leather, latches were of thin metal, almost from soda cans, etc. Origin was China, not America as advertised. Quite an education about the modern Internet.
Such a disgusting
Such a disgusting, disappointed being scammed by this company. I ordered a kalmar backpack, when it arrived, it was not what I have ordered, products arrived was faux leather, Buckle/zipper made out of plastic not metal or brass as described, stitch line quality not even good. Contact shipper with no reply. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I would give a big 0 if I could.
Do NOT purchase anything from this…
Do NOT purchase anything from this company, it's actually a rip-off company called Mode Boutiques operating out of China. I foolishly purchased a £79 bag, when it arrived it was obviously cheaply made and not a handmade leather bag as sold. The company seng me a false return address so my return, which cost £23 ,is now stuck in China's customs. The company aren't replying to my emails so I have opened a dispute to try and get my money back!! They are sods
This company is a fraud
This company is a fraud. Sent wrong items and will only accept return if I pay for shipment to CHINA ($130). According to other reviews they dont refund even if you ship.
Do not buy!
100 % Scam/Fraud/Countefeit Item
As far as can be determined there is no real James Andrew Company, the ads claim is going out of business and handmakes top quality leather bags. Stupidly I ordered a backpack. When it came it was absolutely nothing like the ad pictured. It had one rivet where ad showed 2 in every place (about 8). It was canvas and fake nagahyde, where the ad was a beautiful leather. It didnt have straps and buckles and pouches where the ad's bag did. Purely a scam and counterfeit item. China is the capital of the world for fraudulent counterfeit aka fake items. These people need to be arrested and thrown in prison. Purely stealing peoples money. Then they demand you return to China for a refund and they wont pay for return shipping!!! I returned it to sender (a CA adress) the day I got it. They refuse to refund. I bought through Paypal and have them working on it.
Man did I screw up
Man did I screw up. I’m putting this one down to my stupidity. But the least I can do is share my experience. I was sent the wrong item. I am now expected to ship it back to China. I’ll probably just give it away.
AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam. Product was delivered from China. A cheap imitation of the advertised piece. Avoid at all costs.
