Damaged packaging and appetite unfilled.
It saddens me to have to write this review as my expectations were so high.
I was really looking forward to trying Jamaica on Ice, so I ordered five packs.
The delivery had been received earlier in the day while I was out attending a meeting. So it wasn’t till after 9 pm when I was ready to eat. To my disappointment as I removed the sleeve on the first and the subsequent four meals, I saw that the packaging was broken and plastic sheets lifted, exposing the meals. It was such a shame as I didn’t feel safe to eat them incase of any contamination from the broken bit of the casing or anything else.
As it was late, I phoned the customer service the following day. I was told the delivery company had caused the damage and that Jamaica On Ice would contact me after receiving my email( which I sent that day) , but no refund or replacement was offered.
Now on the 3rd day and with no response to my email,
I have since discovered that Jamaica On Ice policy requires damage to be reported within 12 hours! This seems unfair when customers may be out and unable to inspect deliveries immediately.
I am very disappointed to have paid for five packs (£52.19) but been unable to safely eat four.
I hope the company reviews its policy and treats customers more fairly when their food packaging arrives damaged.
Shirley
