I bought what I thought was a hanging floral basket from Jackson and Perkins for my 84 year old mother for Mother's Day. She received a box of twigs with thorns on them. The picture is false advertising. I have been in the advertising business for over 25 years. As a suggestion, they should show you the twigs with thorns and say you plant these in the ground and then you can put them in a hanging basket.
I sent an email regarding my disappointment with no response. Today, I waited on hold for over 20 minutes to have a call center woman tell me I can return the sticks, and I will be charged a 20% restocking fee. No thanks. You lost a customer and her friends over $40. Short sided. Hope you continue to do so well under these pandemic conditions.

I am a long time grower of roses. I well remember the old Jackson and Perkins. When I heard that they had been bought by Park Seed I was very reluctant to order from them because of some bad experience with Park Seed. This year I placed an order for 3 roses to see if they were good quality. Only 1 of the three was anything that I would feel was acceptable. I called and was promised that they would resend with a product that I would like. The reorder was worst than the first. As long as Park Seed owns them I will never reorder. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM YOU WILL GET BURNED

Purchased 4 roses for $117. I ordered them earlier In 2Q of 2019, thought I will receive them sometime around Feb 2020. I live in So. Cal, and to my surprise, those roses arrived in late Oct., just before weather gets really cold at night. 2 of the 4 didn’t grow well. I sent email in early April 2020, requesting replacements. Response was that I passed my 3 weeks allowed time, therefore, no replacement for me.
I will never buy from them again. Their roses are not cheap. But their customer services are REALLY CHEAP!
HORRID!!! Climbing roses showed up dead... I have sat on hold for and hour... then just sent my fourth request via email... total joke and never again

Plants that arrived were very small for the price and not healthy at all,,,,have already lost one of the container mix groups. Never again.

I ordered a bare rooted rose from them in March that I could not find anywhere else. It is covered with leaves now. Very healthy. Hopefully it will bloom soon. I ordered the same plant in 2017, but it died within a month. They refunded me.
I ordered 6 barefoot roses and only 2 are budding after 2 months. I emailed them and they responded saying to use rock salt in water for 2 weeks and get back to them within 90 days , to which I did. No response back . I am really disappointed in their service and will never order from them again.

Ordered three rose plants last year, they came dead - I am experienced grower. They sent a replacement but lacking one plant as it was out of stock. They didn't want to give me refund just a credit - no comments on that. This year I had a hard time to find a plant to purchase for that credit. Their selection isn't that great but I finally found one. I called them, ordered that plant and they asked me for credit card # to pay 14 cents difference, I gave them the CC number but also promissed to leave relevant online feedback. J&P used to be a good company and reliable quality rose supplier - IT IS NOT anymore and I hear the same from other people. Shop somewhere alse online or even go to your local nursery to find your plants. You find plants better quality, better selection and you will be happy w/ your purchase. Many nurseries can order for you particular variety w/o extra charge. Also, beware they strongly over exaggerate description of their own varieties.

RE-ORDER OF ROSES THAT ARRIVED DYING LAST YEAR.
THEIR PHONE SYSTEM IS TERRIBLE. M VARIABLE VOLUME THAT DRIBBLES TO NOTHING. ANYWAY PHONE WAITING TIME, TWICE, EXCEEDING 15 MINUTES.
HOW THIS COMPANY STAYS IN BUSINESS IS A SURPRISE TO ME. VERY POOR SERVICE. I WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM. I WON'T
EVEN CONSIDER FREE ROSES.

We recently retired and built our dream home. I had a list of plants from J&P that totaled over $3,300. After reading all of the horror stories, I took my list to a large garden center here in town. They got me my entire list with the exception of one plant. The total cost was $2,535 !! They even put all the plants in their truck and delivered them to the prepared flower beds!
I told them that we were spending the next day planting everything. To our surprise ~2 of their landscapers showed up at 9:00 am to answer any questions, and they showed us how far apart to plant everything, and they brought out a 2 bottles of fertilizer that we hook to the hose and fertilize all our new plants once we were through.
THIS is customer service! Something apparently missing from J&P.

If I could rate a negative number I would. I ordered over $300 worth of roses in December as according to the catalog my planting season was late February. I never received my roses and have yet to receive my refund. I have contacted the customer service department on numerous occasions and have never even gotten the courtesy of a response. I’m very disappointed and will NEVER order from them again!!!!

I called before I ordered and they said shipping date was March 9th, paid for 2 day shipping because of travel plans and I should have them in time. I still had no tracking number, so I emailed them with no response, just an email saying it has shipped, but now since the 2 days will be on Sunday, they won't deliver until Monday, and we will already be gone for 4 months. I do not recommend this company at all and want a refund!

I ordered 2 roses online and forgot to use promo (buy 2 get 1 free) to get 1 free rose. Called the customer service and also contacted online representatives. Their representative told me they can't give me 1 for free because i ordered online and let me waited for 20 minutes with all the automatic responses. I won't buy from them again.

I will NEVER order from J&P again, they do not gurantee their roses! They put all the blame on you, the customer! All they want is your money, then to hell with you, No customer satisfaction what so EVER!!!!
I can buy a rose bush from a local nursery and I have a year warranty on it, but with J&$ after 30 days they are done with you. WOW WHAT A RIP OFF !!!!!!!!
People save your money and support your local nursery. Stop throwing your money away with this piece of garbage site. Not Happy with J&P. RIP OFF !!!

Overall, I have had very good results from my J&P orders through the years. The roses I ordered last spring grew well, even under duress from a bad beetle outbreak. The other perennials I purchased have also performed well. Occasionally, a plant disappoints me, but for the most part I have been very pleased. Customer service has been good when I've needed it. Not often. I'm puzzled by all the negative reviews.
Very disappointed. My bulb arrangement looks nothing like the picture. I’ve tried to send them pictures and a message but they will not accept them.

I ordered a small fully decorated tree for my Mother for the Christmas season. I am very disappointed to find out from my Mom that the tree was tagged From CHINA and died long before Christmas. Even with proper care and watering it dropped so many needles that she did not feel comfortable even plugging it in. I spent $150 on this thing and had I known that it was coming from China I would never have ordered it. Also I made sure to ask my Mom is she sure the tree was from China thinking maybe it was the container it came in that was from there. She said the actual tree had a tag on it that said from China. I don’t understand why this is necessary when we have plenty of farms here, other then of course more profit for Jackson and Perkins to get cheaper trees from another country. I would much rather have paid more money for a tree grown and farmed here vs this cheap alternative. I hope this info is helpful for someone else.

I purchase 5 Roses from Jackson Perkins, and one from Home Depot at the same time the JP roses arrived (needed 6), followed all instructions and treated all 6 the same, all 5 JP roses never even got leaves, dead, the HD roses thrived in the same soil, same area. I have written to JP twice about their "guarantee" and have not received a response. The fact they can't even respond or try to make it right tells you a lot about this company, I suggest using other avenues to purchase plants, not only the quality of the product but the quality of their customer service (non-existent) as shown by their responses on this site. If I save just one consumer from the agony of this company
We ordered a flower for Christmas for my newly widowed mother in law. The flower was left outside in freezing temperatures. J&P could not be bothered to get a replacement to her in time for Christmas and is not refunding our money. I will never place another order with them. Save your money, order from somewhere else
